Yes, after posting reviews on several sites, complaints rained down from the hotel, apparently they still read them and attach importance to them, although they laugh in the face and talk about the indifference of the accommodations. Asking sites to remove unbiased reviews. The animation also asks all guests to write positive reviews many times, I was approached with this request five times ....
In my situation, due to the FAULT of the HOTEL, there was a bay, they moved to another room, when moving, the towel card remained in the previous room. Yes, the hotel is not obliged, but still, knowing that the guest did not leave, but moved, and even through the fault of the hotel, return it to the guest. But they didn’t return it to me, while, as I found out later, these cards are not actually accounted for, many renting a number leave them for a swim, and then they either give it up or not. Friends didn't give up.
Comrade from the reception ...Oh ...He absolutely does not know how to behave with guests, is not restrained, rude, rude (Harry Fawzy). I approached him with a problem, he did not listen, although at first I wanted to talk to the guest relay, he immediately demanded 10 dollars, banging his open palm on the table with one phrase give 10 dollars -))). He spoke calmly and did not raise his voice.
Ok, I gave 10 dollars, but in my situation, taking into account the fault of the hotel for the move, which served as the reason for leaving the room, the approach is still different in client-oriented hotels. But he really didn’t like that I politely wanted to discuss the problem and he began to demand to pay him more money - several tens of pounds, smiling in his face and saying that since you didn’t immediately give $ 10, then here’s a printout of what the security deposit ...pounds and, in his opinion, $ 10 will not be enough (at the same time, he CORRECTED the security deposit in the Word printout, increasing it from the one that was originally indicated in the check-in printout. ). They have developed professional measures to deal with guests. He lagged behind only when I said that I had no pounds, let him return my money, I'll go and exchange it and give him as many pounds as he wants. Such behavior from the outside was ugly and disgusting, it felt like it was an Egyptian bazaar or a rooming house.
There was no conflict on my part, there was an attempt to politely and calmly sort out the situation. They are used to the defenselessness of tourists, that they can be rude and they will not get anything for it ...He told me so. That the tourist is leaving. powerless, without consequences ....So be careful, by the way, I was additionally told that in case of any loss from the room, they do not take any measures. Only the safe. They don't even understand or check. It has its own mafia and a separate guest business, it can lead, or maybe not.
The room is big. The furniture in the rooms is old, but everything is very decent. The water was always cold and hot. Hairdryer, working TV - from the Russian-language ORT and TNT. Blankets were warm in 2 pcs. It's cold at night in January. There is no iron in the hotel at all, which is very upsetting.
The territory is large, there is where to walk, a lot of greenery. A lot of abandoned buildings (the exclusion zone - that's what we called), they are trying to restore something.
The sea is gorgeous, the sandy beach is gorgeous - it's just huge and empty. The beds are in good condition. To the sea about 7-10 minutes at a leisurely pace through the hotel.
The territory of the hotel and the beach is constantly looked after: they sweep, scrape, clean something, water it, mow the grass.
The bar on the beach is open from 12.00 and somewhere until 14.00 (until everyone eats). There is pizza, something like burgers, cakes, coffee, tea, cola, sprite, fanta.
The pool bar is open from 10.00 to 17.00 (approximately). The waiter constantly brings alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails (for children), beer, cola, sprite, fanta is everywhere in unlimited quantities. Approximately also from 12.00 some snacks are brought from the restaurant. By the way, the pool is not heated.
There is also a bar at the reception, but there are only drinks.
Food is always not even a five, but a ten. Everything is sooooo tasty, there was enough of everything, there were never queues, because. January is not the season, you know.
From entertainment: on the beach at 16.00-17.00 they danced rumba, the animator tried very hard. And that's it.
And remember you are always and everywhere trying to deceive and "throw" for money: guides, merchants, tour guides, etc. Be vigilant. 1$=16LE recalculate everything on the calculator yourself. For example, on excursions to the Bedouins on quad bikes, they take photos and videos, then they mount it all and sell it to those who wish. The disc costs $15 or 240LE ($15*16=240) and they sell for 300LE, rounded up. And there are many such examples. Always count everything yourself.
We are in Egypt for the first time, before that we rested in Turkey and Europe. The main thing I want to point out right away is that this hotel is suitable for introverts (if you want to take a break from people) and for those who know how to have fun themselves, because the hotel is tight with entertainment and animation.
MOST IMPORTANTLY (for most of our tourists) bring your own alcohol (1 liter can be brought from Ukraine, if you don’t buy it right away in a dutik). We did just that and didn't depend on the bar's alcoholic outage. This was the main complaint of all vacationers, but given the price of the tour (we got 340 per person), I think that 30 bucks for good alcohol can be added.
They asked for 40 bucks for an early check-in, but after a couple of hours we bargained for 20 dollars per room.
We liked the food, we went to the water park 1 time (5 dollars per person), the sea and the beach are super, masks are required, we rested in the water park area almost like "Robinsons" (very few people).
You can shop at "Cleopatra" (10 minutes walk) and "SENZOMALL" (2 dollars by taxi).
We went on excursions (Cairo and Luxor) - ordered on the Internet, paid on the bus.
For 10 dollars we went to a disco in the city with animators. I liked it very much!
For another $ 5 one way we went to the fish market in the city, tiger prawns for 14 bucks per kg (they are also cooked there for free), while we waited 30 minutes for the cook to walk to the mosque (3 minutes nearby).
So you can see for yourself that we didn’t get bored this week, it definitely doesn’t make sense to overpay for a hotel with such an active program. But if you prefer not to leave the hotel, then it will definitely not suit you.
The territory of the hotel is of course large and there is where to walk. If you like looking at the ruins. The only plus is the sea, it's cool here. There are also corals with fish, take a mask with you, and a good sandy entry. There is a water park on site, but it turned out to be paid, $ 5 per person. So check with your tour operator. As we were told on the voucher should be indicated Aqua Park.
The food here is not very good. The food is almost always monotonous and not for everyone. If you go like we are with a child, everything is spicy and the child was hungry. Bars are always empty. You have to ask for everything. At the bar by the sea, it's generally terrible! Unsanitary conditions, except for the so-called "hamburgers" you can call them that, there is nothing, there is never alcohol either. And the same goes for other bars. They always have one answer "END" even though the bar just opened.
Service is terrible too. We are from Ukraine, and all Ukrainians are branded with white bracelets. In the hotel he introduced me to many, and everyone was just horrified where they got to.
In general, I do not recommend. If you want to throw money away, then yes.
We are in Golden 5 for the second time. In 2014 we were in Golden Almaz, then it was great! Which is why they came here again. There is nothing left of the former luxury. Diamond in the process of destruction. Diamond is closed. We had 50 people resting in Paradise with us. There are about 150 in our Club. Everything is very sad. The owner died, the children can not cope. In general, most likely there were no Russians.
We were told that 6 thousand people used to rest here for 1 time. Behind the road they still have 2 hotels closed. The staff is friendly and smiling. The restaurant is clean, there is enough food, pastries. It is obvious that they are trying. A flight from Minsk for 1 person costs $360. There were two of us - it's $720. The rest of the money from the tour is for the rest. It was $10 per day per person. Thank them for licking us for these pennies. In the sanatorium of the Republic of Belarus, the cheapest sanatorium takes $ 30 per day per person. And you have to pay for the treatment separately.
The beach here is excellent, the sea was warm. The beach bar is a nightmare. Dirt. They sell alcohol in a brazen place. Next to us, guys from Bulgaria were sunbathing, so they bought bottles from them. There was nothing for the rest, not even tea bags in short supply. There are 2 pharmacies nearby, one next to the beach, the other on the left at the exit from the checkpoint. There is something to buy there. And creams are inexpensive and stuff.
If you have money, then buy another hotel. And if you need the sea and the sun, then you can come here. But not until May now. Now there will be a dead season.
1) Out of 5 hotels, 3 operate on a vast territory. The territory is large, well-groomed, green. This is without taking into account the unfinished and destroyed by the revolution buildings. We rested in the Golden 5 Club.
2.2 good pools without slides. Almost nobody used them. Rarely near one of them were morning exercises.
3) The staff is extremely polite and not for a chocolate bar or a dollar, but by nature. The service is very good. Children, well, just adore!
4) When checking in before 12 noon, there is an official mandatory fee of $ 40 (and not a single bargain! ), or you wait on the sofas in the lobby. The rooms are all the SAME SPRING! ! ! Therefore, paying extra with dollar-chocolates, you just delight your imagination : )
5) At the request to deliver another bed - they responded instantly. Room size allows - somewhere around 30 sq. m. Without surcharges and thanks.
6) Daily cleaning, superficial - they change the bed, towels, deliver shampoos, soaps, gels and water.
For 11 days, they laid out all sorts of origami from towels 3 times. Furniture and fixtures are old but in good condition.
7) Food: a lot of variety among salads, side dishes, main courses. Always 2 soups. BBQ every day. Fish stewed or fried daily. Pancakes - in the form of balls, 1-2 types of pasta, chicken, veal, liver. Milk porridge of 2 types and hot milk. Don't miss out with small children. But an individual reb. there is no menu. For breakfast + pancakes with jams and various sauces, 4-5 yogurts, egg, omelettes with and without filling. Fruits: grapes, melons, pomegranates, bananas, oranges and guava. Sweets - baklava 4-6 types, biscuits 5-6 types, donuts, pudding.
Cakes, buns 5-6 types. On the beach from 12 to 2 - pizza, hamburgers, vegetables and sweets. Drinks are non-alcoholic. Everything is unlimited. And in the morning until the 5th just drinks. Everything is repeated at 80% per day.
Seafood does not exist and do not believe it; ) (But on sea excursions they are treated to shrimp and squid : )).
Drinks at the lobby bar almost around the clock: cola-fanta-sprite-yuppie-tea 3 types - red and white wine a little bit in a glass, but as many times as you want. Beer large glasses. Wine is normal, by the way...Beer is...the norm...Teas are very tasty, especially aniseed. My kids drank 10-12 cups every day!
8) Excursions:
And now advice from the bottom of my heart (for the proud, simple, ignorant and omniscient...; ) - do not buy ANYTHING from the SUPER and Non-Super guide. For stupidly throw out for nothing, about nothing $ 40-45 per person! A living example: on a boat (during a diving excursion) in one of our group-companies there were people who paid a guide for $ 65, beach piers for $ 30-35, and bought on Trevet24 for $ 28! I'm so good, I give the strength9https://travel24. online/com/trips/) so you don't get baked like me! : ) - because I, naive, or slowed down by the flight, bought from the guide; )...
9) Water park:
From the travel agent to the reception manager they convinced that it was free. FALSE! Kids free, adults $5! In the water park, children are poorly looked after.
In general, I do not recommend! Don't waste the Red Sea on chlorine! ! !
10) Resting Egyptians with a number of EEEEEEEEN children: noisy, but colorful. They eat everything in restaurants like locusts! (no offense... ) The beach is modest and quiet. Friendly.
11) there is not a single children's area, as in the photo! Only a few swings at the second building (near the Sphinx).
Therefore, I can recommend this hotel to both young people and families with children and adults. But only if you are not too picky about all sorts of 'frills' and fashionable beauty.
