In Egypt, my husband and I 2nd time. The first time we rested in Sharm in a modest 3 *** and we really liked it. Now we decided to visit Hurghada, I wanted to see Luxor and Abu Simbel, it is much easier from Hurghada. However, the same mistakes we made brought to naught our entire holiday.
First mistake!
The tour operator "Anex Tour" is the cheapest, so the service is appropriate: the cheapest airlines without specifying a seat on the plane (during the storming of the plane, there was no question of a culture of behavior); representatives of the “modest” tour operator charge an extra dollar for a visa ($16 instead of the legal $15); Anex Tour guides, who are supposed to defend your interests, change immediately after the arrival of a new group (we had 4 different guides in 10 days). But these were not all the "charms" of service. The Arab guide who met us at the hotel - Nabil, referring to the heavy workload of the airport, collected our plane tickets (for check-in) with a promise to return them tomorrow. After that, the guide disappeared safely. Instead of him, after 3 days, another appeared who, with a worried face, said that this was very, very bad, but since he was not to blame for anything, he could not help in any way. We did not manage to get through to the Anex Tour hotline (no one simply answered the call). In short, we won tickets with a scandal. Of course, we can say that we are such suckers - we gave the ticket ourselves, but we were a whole group of 16 people and among us were experienced and experienced tourists, but everyone obediently handed over the tickets.

Mistake two!
We are people without special claims to service, we love excursions and swimming in the sea. Going to Hurghada, they expected to take an inexpensive C grade, but having found that the prices for 3 *** with meals HB and 4 **** with All are about the same, they were tempted by All, and ended up in the Calimera Active Hotel, completely ignoring that the hotel recommended mainly for families with children. So our fellow citizens came in large numbers with small children, who all the time yelled and indulged, receiving juicy assholes from their mothers with the words “You, an infection, spoil my whole vacation. ” This picture was “beautifully” complemented by Arab families in their turbans and burqas with even more spoiled children. Arab women looked at women in bathing suits through the slit of their veils like a German from a tank.
Of course, we should have read the reviews about the hotel more carefully, but we all thought that bad reviews were written by very pampered young ladies, who are not like that everywhere. Yes, we just could not believe that the Red Sea could be bad. But the sea wasn't even bad, it just didn't exist here! There is a huge shoal - 300-400 meters, which at low tide turns into a dried-up swamp, then a small strip with a depth along which every day the boats take the Germans to the coral islands, and then shallow water again. Having swum along this strip, we, of course, found some kind of living corals (after the explosion), but this is far from the Red Sea in Sharm - a complete disappointment. And we didn’t manage to swim more than 2 times a day - the distance to the depth is too great.
With grief, they tried to unwind at the disco. But even here we were disappointed. Disco - sucks, music from our childhood; no one dances until 12 - they only drink (drinks up to 12 are free), and after drinking for an hour, people don’t care how and what to dance to.

The only thing that pleased me was the lessons of Latin American dances. My husband and I visited them faithfully, every evening.
Error three!
We naively thought that we could take an excursion to Abu Simbel somewhere on the street or from another tour operator (Anex Tour does not offer such an excursion at all). And here again there is a bummer: there is simply no “street”, the hotel is in the middle of the desert, surrounded only by construction sites, and the guide from TEZ Tour flatly refused to sell us a tour. we didn't come from TEZ. As a result, we managed to visit only Luxor.
It cannot be said that everything was very bad. The hotel is not bad in general. A large, beautiful area, similar to a botanical garden - under each tree and bush there is a sign with the name and country of growth. The rooms are cozy, they clean well, the plumbing is new, the air conditioner, unlike cheap hotels, works quietly and efficiently, the food is normal. It is very convenient not to worry about where and when to eat, food is available almost around the clock, overslept breakfast - there is a late breakfast, missed lunch - there is a late one. Of course, it's nice to sit on a soft sofa near the reception and sip a cappuccino or something alcoholic.
This is the kind of holiday we had, not quite bad, but not quite the way we wanted.
