It was the first time in Egypt, before that I had a rest only in Europe. Not to say that I liked it unconditionally, but, apparently, just a beach holiday is not for me. The hotel was in the period from 17.11 to 27.11. 2009.
Settled without any "bribes" at the reception in a room overlooking the main building and pools, and after seeing him and making sure that everything suits (before that, they also drove around the hotel in a minicar). Safe, mini-bar, TV with several Russian-language channels, air conditioning, hairdryer in the bathroom, lighting, door locks - everything works properly, the furniture is new.
They never took anything from the room, once left on the table (like an experiment) a handful of small things made of euro-cents, a fountain pen and a new notebook, and put one dollar next to it. All coins and stationery remained in place after cleaning the room : -) For a dollar in the room, "towel" compositions in the form of bunnies, swans, hearts strewn with flowers were built daily on the bed (hahaha - that's why there is no landscaping of the territory).

I can’t say anything about animation, although I’m a little familiar with the team.
Shisha bar is not bad, but with its minus - next to it there are noisy hoods from a Japanese restaurant, sometimes "blowing" vacationers with various flavors of the dining room ; -)
In general, from the minuses, I will immediately note the absence of a map (scheme) of the hotel, still weak landscaping, slightly dissatisfied faces of the bartenders in the bar on the beach, and the almost complete absence of the sea for a full swim (the depth of the sea near the beach is just above the knee at high tide).
Sea - we went to the territory of the neighboring hotel (where the kite center is located) and to the long mall of the hotel on the other side. It was possible to get to the mall only by sea, and attempts to go along the coast are stopped by the guards of neighboring hotels. At the end of the mall you can dive, look at the reef underwater world. The same dives are possible on the "wild beach" behind the kite center, just be careful - there are a lot of sea urchins not far from the coast, and since I almost stepped on a resting moray eel at a depth slightly below the knee.
We saw construction sites, but practically did not feel the work on them. By the way, the construction of the neighboring building is completed, as well as the water park next to them. The hotel management assured that the entire infrastructure would be fully operational by Christmas. I think this is the right move, the launch of the water park will add pluses to the rest of tourists.
Restaurants "ala card" - "Lebanese", "Italian", "fish", "Japanese" work by appointment, we managed to visit the Lebanese and fish (in the last menu and in Russian; by the way, they hide the fact that the fish, laid out in ice is free, so do not miss the opportunity to order fresh seafood fried ; -) do not get carried away only with lobsters and shrimps - this is already for money).

The main buffet restaurant is not bad in terms of choice of dishes, but for drinks - inexpressive wine, beer of one kind, and average scall "zuko-juices". For those who wish - a freebie in the form of popular carbonated drinks and plain water. Tea and coffee are always on the menu. Oriental sweets in the restaurant are presented in an amazing amount of all subcutaneous fats : -))))
As always, I was struck by the number of fellow tribesmen : -) Although the management convinced that only 30% of the vacationers were Russian speakers, this was not so. This figure is the number of non-Russian-speaking foreigners, among whom there are many Asians and residents of the Scandinavian countries.
In the evenings, with a smooth transition into the night in the club behind the Japanese restaurant, discos were arranged with rather modern club music, and the bartenders from behind the bar were also pleased. the same hotel animators acted as the ringleaders of the dance floor. Before the start of "disco-time" on the main stage of the hotel there were daily performances with dancing or live performances.
In general, I am satisfied with the hotel and the rest in it, although, I repeat, the beach pastime is not mine. From excursions I advise boat trips, but moto-safaris in the desert. The rest of the trips are very tiring, and burdensome for the budget.
P. S. By the way, the hotel provided us with a boat trip to the "Paradise Island" absolutely free of charge, thus allowing us to save 110 USD for two.
