From January 25 to February 1, my husband and I rested in Aquamarine. Very good, new hotel (approx. 3 years old), large and impeccably well-groomed territory, many pools (including heated ones), which are cleaned every evening. Mostly Germans have a rest, but there were also Poles, Swedes, Finns, British, French. There are a lot of Arab families, as well as families with small children (the hotel has all the conditions for them). The water park is divided into 2 parts: several slides are located near the beach, several - at the other end of the hotel - all work on schedule, but the water in these pools is unheated, so it's fresh))) We were probably lucky with the weather, because. only 1 day out of seven turned out to be cloudy - we were just diving, but the water in the sea was, oddly enough, very warm. In the evenings, of course, it's cool, so the dresses "for the evening" hung in the closet, but jeans, shoes (or sneakers) + a windbreaker - this is what you need for a comfortable evening pastime. On warm evenings there were mosquitoes: quiet and biting...
The food is very good, there is always something to choose according to your taste. They bought strawberries not far from the hotel - $ 1 / kg, in the city they will sell you the same kg for $ 3. Souvenirs and clothes in shops, if you go out of the hotel to the right, are several times cheaper than in the city (even if you bargain well)... and the choice is better.
Animation is more aimed at children, for adults only morning exercises, aqua aerobics, volleyball, and in the evening a "fun" Egyptian show + disco. I understand that these "shows" should have had a different effect, but it was funny to us, which in itself is not bad).

Service both in rooms and in bars-restaurants - without pretensions. The room was cleaned every day, and they cleaned it well and "twisted" all sorts of flower animals out of towels for us...
A dollar was left daily.
If you do not want to use the mini-bar, just inform the reception on the day of arrival, they will note it in their computer and no one will ask you anything and force you to pay when you leave. Just don't touch anything in it (just in case) and that's it. In general, the staff is friendly and polite, you will always smile and say hello to you.
Indeed, probably one minus (although it doesn’t matter to anyone, but this didn’t affect our vacation personally) is that the sea near the hotel beach is very shallow - ankle-deep, and in the morning, when the tide is out, it doesn’t exist at all) And next to the left there is a bay, there is some kind of yacht club and a surfing school, so you can swim there.
The hotel will offer you 1 free entry to any of the four a la carte restaurants (Asian, Italian, Lebanese or fish). The guide recommends the fish one to everyone, so we went there. You can choose only those dishes in the menu where prices are not marked (you can order soup, salad and main course). In the free menu you will not find any lobsters or even shrimp. One serving of "Seafood Mix" from the paid menu costs 17 euros, but there are already lobsters. The wine is only sold by the bottle and costs between 150 and 350 francs (it's somewhere between $25). If you want free wine, ask for a glass - this is how local wine is poured.
A special "scam" - a free tour of Hurghada + shopping (that's what it's called). From 14.00 to 20.00 you are taken to shops and factories "for tourists", where there is either simply nothing to buy (one trash), or unrealistic (as they say, fixed) prices, however, also for nothing. After the next store "oil-perfume-papyrus", the husband said that he already had a "squirrel". If we knew that such garbage would happen, it would be better to stay sunbathing for an extra half a day...
In general, we were very pleased with the rest. The hotel is very decent, I recommend to go and I think that you will not regret it.
