Rested in the "Grand Plaza" of Hurghada from 07.03 to 15.03. 09. I will say at once that with what mood you will prepare for the trip, so everything will work out. My girlfriend and I decided to have a 100% holiday. Tour operator "Turtess" was, as always, at the height, everything was at the highest level. Thanks to our constellation tour agent, they advised a great hotel. We flew with the Wind Rose airline, read a lot of reviews - at least stay at home. BUT! ! ! ! ! ! Everything was great, the flight was delayed for 10 minutes, but only due to the fact that the plane was icy and it was treated with antifreeze. Right from the airport on the "sleeve" we got on the plane. The service on board is excellent, immediately distributed breakfast, tea, coffee, juices (they do not have alcohol, which did not upset us at all, who wanted - at 5 am ate tasty taken from Duty Free). The takeoff and landing were very gentle and the flight itself went perfectly, there was no turbulence at all.
In Hurghada, we were the first and only in the arrival hall, everything went by in a flash, 15 minutes later we were already sitting in the bus "Turtess". Another 15 minutes later we were taken to the hotel. The guide personally came to accommodate us. At the reception, the smiling guys said that they have a great room with a sea view for us. At home, we decided not to put money in the passport, because we read that this hotel and so give good rooms, if they are available. And so it happened with us, the room was great, in the central building, overlooking the sea, everything was as in the photo on the hotel website. We cleaned well, every day, we left a dollar on the bed and the boy spread us hearts, swans and so on. There are no complaints about cleaning and service. The hotel itself is not new, but with its own charm. Every evening live music (piano, violin), a magnificent large garden, beautiful plants, flowers.
The beach is not very big, there were always enough sunbeds, only a few windbreaks, but we arrived early and we had everything. The Germans tipped the boys on the beach, so they covered their sunbeds and put shutters when they arrived. Animation as animation, as everywhere. Morning exercise, aqua aerobics, volleyball, water polo, belly dancing, evening programs. On Mondays they have a folklore program and a dervish dance - it's something! Very impressive! There is no disco in the hotel, there is in the neighboring "Hilton", in addition, from our hotel by bus to Hurghada to the disco, who went, were happy. The staff is very polite, helpful, no one is missing and does not bother, only a friendly attitude (including outside the hotel), we walked in the resort area with shops, well, invite to visit their "boutiques", but no obsession. However, we did not dare to go to Hurghada alone without men.

The hotel also has shops, prices are about the same as everywhere. We bought oil in a shop from Marco, a good guy, half Egyptian, half Italian, knows a lot of languages, but you have to bargain, as everywhere. Outside the hotel they bought knitwear in a store called "Marina Knitwear", and also received very good discounts. Souvenirs were already bought at the airport, there is a very large selection. Duty free is very expensive in Egypt, in Kiev prices in euros, but you can pay in hryvnia at the rate of the NBU, which was very profitable. For example, "Baileys" in Kiev cost 17 euros, in Egypt 29 dollars… But this is not the main thing. A separate topic is food. I do not know who and what was poisoned there, but their kitchen is beyond praise! My friend has been several times in Egypt and in cool hotels and said that the food here is the most delicious and varied. It's just that people need to regulate themselves a little, not to overeat and then everything will be fine with the stomach.
You would see the plates of some citizens (I will not say which country, but not the Germans exactly). This mountain of food… how can a poor organism cope with this? And do not overdrink. Drinks as always on an all-inclusive basis. And the kitchen is great! Excellent fish, chicken, meat, barbecue made several times. Fresh, stewed vegetables, salads, side dishes… well, everything the soul desires. Amazed dish cooked in crab shell baked in sauce. Fruit - salad of melon, apple, orange, grapefruit. In the evenings there were tangerines, oranges, mini-bananas, guava. The only thing was the queues for lunch, when everyone went to dinner at the same time - at 13.00. But it was possible to come at 2 and 3 o'clock and get the same dishes without queuing. Well, the Germans used to have lunch at 13-00… what to do. And probably 70 percent of Germans and Poles there. The sea was clear, in the evening of course the water is not as clear as in the morning. Sunset is comfortable, sandy, very good for children.
We were taken back safe and sound, all minute by minute, the flight was with UIA, delayed for 40 minutes, but again due to the fact that the Frenchman was lost from the previous flight and he was wanted, but then missed our plane and we safely flew and flew. In general, my first trip to Egypt was great, if you compare Turkey and Egypt - in Egypt, I still liked it more. Yes, and don't confuse the Grand Plaza Hotel with the Grand Plaza Resort Hotel - it's across the street from our hotel on the second line. There is the same owner, and the hotel is brand new, the only thing - to go to the beach across the road and our hotel, but it's not so scary, especially since the path passes through a magnificent garden.
