Another review about visiting Egypt.
This trip was the 4th, so there is already little experience with what and what to compare. We stayed at this hotel from 19 to 29 August 2014.
Flight.
And there and back with the airline "Transaero", Sheremetyevo F. Departure there without delay. Back they put me on a plane and kept me there for two hours in total, without explaining the reasons, periodically promising a flight. Boeing 747.500 people. The flight itself was flawless. Service compared to the flight in 2009 with the same airline in terms of food has become worse. Cons of such a large plane: queues for check-in for the return flight, a long wait for luggage upon arrival both there and back.
Arrival and settlement, rooms.

A visa to Egypt costs $25. Guides meet at every step of the airport. Everything as usual. The whole bus went to one hotel. This is a plus. Arrival at the hotel was about 15 hours local time. The guides seated us on sofas in the reception hall, handed out questionnaires, and left us in the literal sense of the word, without explaining further actions. If this was our first trip, it would be surprising to say the least. There were seven of us, one of the managers, having put on bracelets for six, “kindly” ran further. We filled out the questionnaires, and went on our own to the reception for resettlement. This was one of the most unfriendly receptionists on all trips. Despite the time already approaching 16 o'clock and a certain amount invested in the passport, we were sent to eat, and resettlement later. Only at this time, apart from the fast food establishment, nothing else works. In total, the resettlement took more than two hours. They settled in buildings near the football field and the golf course. By location, they are behind the buildings of Leila, located next door. The porter for $ 100 offered to change the rooms to "good" ones, in his words, in a closer area to restaurants and a water park. We were not happy with this in terms of cost. In the next two days, they tried to change rooms, but all the same receptionists sent us “Come tomorrow” every time, even when contacting them with a guide. As a result, having unpacked our bags, we found charms in our location: our relatively quiet pool, and a quiet zone. But the rooms in the bungalow are much larger and more comfortable in size than in the two-story buildings. Everywhere, both on the street and in the rooms, do not be surprised to be bitten - there are a lot of ants (we don’t carry food to the room), there are a lot of flies on the street. They do not bring soap and shampoo to the rooms, but we almost always take it with us. Soap is available in attached wall boxes. Beach towels are in special bags, and always carry them with you: both to the beach and to the pool. Replacement - you need to throw it on the floor in the room before cleaning, then they will be changed. Convenient or not - everyone decides for himself. Towels and beach, and for washing in the bathroom of a terrible look and condition. Most vacationers are Russians, many Germans, Englishmen, a little less Poles.
Territory.
The territory of the hotel is very large, well-groomed, relatively green. See the hotel map and you will immediately understand where you are being accommodated, the more numbering, the farther from the reception and restaurants. The most successful numbers start at 1000.2000. There are a lot of pools: from the central ones near restaurants and small ones in residential areas, but in the central ones, where there is a depth of 150 centimeters in just one place, there are almost never free sunbeds. All other pools are 110 centimeters deep. The pools are decently chlorinated, a lot of dirt at the bottom. They seem to be cleaned, but they do not become cleaner.
Nutrition.

Food is traditional for many hotels in Egypt. In the morning, pancakes, scrambled eggs, cereal or chocolate balls, there are no decent milk porridges (this is for those who need their presence and in principle), potatoes, sausages, butter-cheese, ham. Lunch is not much different from dinner. From fruits: red, green apples, bananas (not always pretty and only sometimes edible), pears (well, very hard), unripe dates, grapes. I was surprised by the absence of watermelons in the evenings, for the entire period they were 2 times sour and tasteless. For 4 visits to Egypt, this is the first time. When a melon was cut in the evening, a pineapple was also seen once, a queue formed. Quite a lot of beef in different types (stewed, meatballs, boiled), grilled chops can not be taken - they do not chew. Fish of the same species and almost always stewed, sometimes grilled, fish cutlets. One evening there was grilled mackerel. Potatoes in any version: french fries, mashed potatoes, baked in foil, just baked or stewed, rice, pasta You won’t stay hungry, but in other ways, as always, you get bored quickly. Baking, as always, is beyond praise. Everything is delicious. We do not take any salads and mixtures, so there were no problems with the stomachs. The juice in eggplants of restaurants is diluted. Packaged in individual bars. Ice cream from 12 to 21 hours in a separate cafeteria in unlimited quantities. Boiled coffee in the lobby bar and a separate bar, as well as delicious non-alcoholic cocktails. Bottled beer, poured into glasses. There are a lot of broken and dirty dishes in restaurants. I had to choose glasses, mugs, plates....And it will be difficult for very young children to feed there, many dishes are spicy. The waiters are very fast, the plates are honestly, right out of their hands. Repeatedly carried away untouched and still half-eaten dishes.
Beach and sea.
There is a bus from the reception building to the beach. We left on the first and returned around 11 o'clock. Since it was already getting hot, and we moved to the pools. The beach is the lagoon of the Dana Beach hotel of the same chain. We didn’t discover anything new for ourselves, as we read reviews and were ready for the fact that the water in the lagoon was muddy. But we were not lazy - we went to the shallows, beyond which the open sea begins, where the water is clear, you can lie on the waves or swim and look at the corals and living creatures. Also, where they teach sailing, there is very clear water and soft sand underfoot. So everyone will find an entrance, depth and sea to taste for themselves. The main thing is not to be lazy and take a couple of steps. The beach is far from the hotel. It's not the second line. Walking in the heat is definitely critical and at least half an hour. So the bus in this case is the best option, taking into account the severity of the trunk with beach towels that you need to drag with you. Slippers for swimming came in handy when going to the sandbar.
Animation.
Unobtrusive, during the day near the pool, water aerobics, belly dancing, etc. There are no local evening shows at all. Animators are not very active. They seem to be, and seem to be not at the same time. Show 1001 nights in Leila can be watched for free. There are many walkways between hotels. But even the hotel animation last year at Iberotel Makadi Saraya was brighter than many numbers of this show.
Aquapark.
A lot of visitors from other hotels. The places where the slides come from are dirty, it is advisable to go down the slides in coral slippers without taking off. Constant queue for circles. Of the minuses in terms of safety - children of almost any age are allowed on adult slides. You can find free sunbeds.
Departure.
The bracelets are not removed. Number extension $55. You deliver your luggage to the reception.

At the exit, there was a bus without identification marks of both the Biblio Globus company and the meeting side of the Als Tour.
In general, a 4 * hotel for 4 with a minus. For children with young children from 5 to 10 years old. Everything seems to be relatively good, but there are small flaws that leave an ambiguous impression and unwillingness to visit this hotel again:
• Unfriendly front desk staff
• Dishes in restaurants
• Dirty pools and water park
• Uninteresting evening shows
• Insects in unlimited quantities
• And yet, foreigners in this particular hotel are given much more attention wherever they are
P. S. I'll be sure to post photos later.
