Well... I returned from vacation a week ago, but Ebipet still does not let go...
The stay was amazingly good. To begin with, thanks to our "fastidious" natives, I spent 2 weeks before the trip in sobs and hysterics about the fact that I would live in a garbage dump with flies and cockroaches for 2 weeks, eat unwashed fruit, not get off the pot for hours, etc. . etc.
It was my first trip to Egypt, before that I had a rest only in Europe, but alas and ah - the crisis broke out, and now I could only dream of Spain and Italy... reluctantly decided on Hurghada, with its sad desert landscapes and annoying Egyptians... and DID NOT REGRET, now I ADVISE EVERYONE...
Firstly, it's warm, and +45 is perfectly tolerated, although the sun presses on the head for the first 3 days, but you get used to it quickly : )
We bought a tour to the Alf Leila Wa Leila hotel, flew in at 12 o'clock in the morning, got to the reception, where they whispered something in our ear (it was hard to understand what, asking 10 times was uncomfortable, it seems) and took us somewhere... where exactly I didn’t have the strength to figure it out, I really wanted to lie down already. as we later realized in our hotel there were no places and we were settled in the Jungle.
We turned out to be those unlucky ones who lived for 2 weeks in houses "on the outskirts"... with numbers starting with 5... moreover, there was a stable and a construction site opposite us - but I can’t say that we were very worried about this, the window went out to the pool, the construction site did not loom before my eyes, there was no particular smell, the camels called periodically, but I even liked it + songs of grasshoppers = romance... exotic...
From our house to the reception min. 5 walks, Alf Leila amphitheater just across the road, ours with all restaurants in min. 2 ; )
The entertainment of the animators is specific, of course, sometimes they resembled student skits, but hilarious - there are no words... they laughed to tears : ))) I remember their programs - Cobra show / Atrican show / Cabaret / Romeo & Julieta / Mr & Miss Jungle / Fakir show... if not impressed , you can go to Leilu for a singing fountain show (21.30) or an oriental show with belly dances, skirts, etc. Entertainment programs are sometimes in Russian, but mostly in English, it's not difficult to understand what is at stake; )
Our beach is the beach of the Dana Beach hotel. . . the bus from the reception runs approximately every 10 minutes, there is a small shed next to the stop, so it's not hard to wait. . . The bus is packed like our minibus at rush hour, but it's only 3 minutes to go . , so there’s nothing to worry about either : ))) The beach has everything, both souls and toilets... and of course, a bar with drinks and food, it seems to start working from 12. You won’t see special sea beauty on the beach, except perhaps flocks of herring, but you can walk aground, like in the "Diamond Hand" : ))) Take care of your legs, although there are no reefs, but SOME, for example, I manage to find coral and cut my heel... and then swim in salt water with combat wounds - an unpleasant thing : )))
The food at the hotel is very personal : ))) insanely delicious pastries, awesome chocolate mousse. . . their fruits are almost always available: grapes, apples, pears, guavas (for those who don't know - it's a yellow pear with a specific smell and taste ), watermelon, melon, oranges and dates. There is a lot of food, all different - you will not die of hunger.
Jungle water park is by far the best in Hurghada, so don't waste your time and money on Titanic ; )
Souvenirs in the hotel I recommend not to buy. . . especially for those whose natural modesty does not allow bargaining; ) next to the hotel to the left of Leila there is a wonderful Cleopatra shop - everything is there, at fixed prices, you can pay in pounds, and in dollars, and in euros... on the second floor - jewelry, the choice is certainly not so great, but the prices are pleasant, if you smile with all 33 teeth - they will also make a good discount, very nice guys...
As for the Egyptians' annoyingness, of course they love to sharpen their folly with or without reason, but if you behave decently, no one will grab your hands, be polite, but restrained... they are the same people as you and I. . .
M more positive, you will set yourself up for a garbage dump with the damned Arabs - you will get it... By the way, about the garbage dump, it really smells a lot sometimes... but what to do, Hurghada is not the cleanest city, you just have to go outside the hotel and you will not see not a single urn. . . only mountains of rubbish and desert ; )
