I rested with my husband from March 02 to March 12.2014, they were afraid to take the children because of the allegedly unstable situation in the country and the threats of terrorists ....We arrived at the hotel early, around 8-00 in the morning, we were immediately put on bracelets, we filled out a guest card and gave our passports to the reception. We were given a photocopy of the hotel map, the schedule of restaurants and bars and a description of the main services of the hotel, and they told us to come at 13-00, because check-in is from 14-00, and we already “are given a discount on an early flight” (more came with us 4 families from Rostov, 3 of them were with children from 4 to 13 years old). The meeting with the guide was scheduled for the NEXT DAY at 9-00! ! ! (why is not clear).

We went for breakfast, but naturally, after a sleepless night, there was no particular mood, and we decided not to waste time and go to a meeting with the guides on the same day, so as not to lose the next morning, although this is not the first time in Egypt and Hurghada, and we are already orienting ourselves ...I wanted to learn more about cellular communications with Russia and the Internet. .

In the hotel, according to our guides, 1 hour Wi-Fi costs 10 euros, 2 hours - 15.4 hours - 20, while the password is given for the purchased time and is caught only at the reception. It is more profitable to buy a local (what? ) SIM card for 20! ! ! $ for 4 GW of memory, then Wi-Fi is everywhere (both in the farthest rooms and in the water park - and the territory - WOW!! ). It is also better to call Russia using a local SIM card, the guides said it seems to be something around $ 1 for 2 minutes. a conversation with Russia, it seems that a SIM card costs $ 5, but it is empty, and how to replenish - who knows ...In general, we didn’t delve into it - we went to rest from work, calls, Internet, etc. etc. , and did not worry much about 10 days from the absence thereof))) ....Communication is clear...

At about 11 o'clock we decided to return to the reception desk - to find out about resettlement, and suddenly something has changed ...And oddly enough - YES! ! ! Only not for Russians!
The arriving Germans were settled almost immediately, and the piles of our passports were lying on the edge, we had to go several times to different guys at the reception, who promised a room in 30 minutes))) With children, of course, they settled faster, especially with small ones, there are no questions. But, in the end, we got the keys to room 5007 - according to the map - on the "edge of geography", asked closer to "ours", who were settled in front of us, and to the pool, and got room 5067. By the way, standard hotel rooms only in zone 31.32, 33, and although they differ from Family only in the absence of a sliding lattice door - do not expect (especially Russians) to live, for example, near the Aqua Park ...Although, from experience, we can say that our 32 zone was very attractive - nearby access to restaurants + bars, your own swimming pool, silence from the animation and discos of the neighboring hotel "1001 Nights". .
The territory of the hotel is a huge, green, beautiful, one-story and two-story bungalows, a kind of German village. . Suitable for recreation of all ages, but still because of the Aqua Park it is more interesting there with children 5-12 years old. . There are a lot of Germans in the hotel - 70 percent, 10 percent are Poles, and the rest are Russians, there were Africans, French (few), etc. The only negative is that the cleaning of the territory leaves much to be desired, compared to Turkey - the Egyptians are not very good at this diligent plan...


The weather let us down a little, there were cloudy days on March 3 and 4, and on March 9 it rained heavily, the hotel "flooded", the staff was not ready for such a scale of the "catastrophe", and apparently he was in shock ...3 days after that they repaired something one restaurant or bar (as well as public toilets), then another (mostly ceilings), and then we flew away, perhaps repairs are still going on in places, but in principle it does not affect the operation of the hotel.
After the rain, the wind changed - cold north, until 10-11 am "it's cold to sunbathe", but the sun is hot, so it's easy to burn out. .

The food is so-so, we expected more (compared to other 4 * hotels in Egypt and Turkey), but you won’t leave hungry ...Fast Food flourishes ...(the Germans just love it). From fruits - apples, dates, avocados, tangerines (oranges), melon (in pieces) - constantly ...A couple of times there were strawberries, but if not tasty, green and sour ....1 kg of strawberries in the local market costs $1.

Aqua park - great - no complaints! All pools of the Aqua Park are heated, slides are cool for every taste and size, you can safely leave things near the sun loungers and go swimming. . In the Aqua-Pakra restaurant - only fast food, ice cream, beer, juices, tea, coffee, no hot dishes! ! !
The price for visiting the Aqua Park is different ...The guides said that $ 30 per adult ($ 15 child), this includes lunch (fast food + soft drinks, the rest for a fee), umbrellas, sun loungers ...Met the girls from the Hilton - they paid for $ 35, and in the review above I read that it was $ 50! ! ! Well, it's completely!

Not far from the sea, a calm step for 12-15 minutes. You can take a bus, every half an hour there is a free bus from the hotel ...The beach is shared with the Dana Beach hotels (their beach itself) + Jungle + Leila, maybe someone else - I don’t know ...The beach strip is large, there are enough sun loungers and umbrellas. . The beach immediately opposite Dana is a sandy, gentle entrance, there are stones (dead corals) under your feet, but the water is unclear, fenced with a net from fish and other sea creatures. . If you go to the right, to the pier and Desert Rose beach - the water is cleaner there, and behind the pier there are small corals where you can see the fish. .

Bottom line: the sea did not inspire, not what they expected (before that, they rested in the Golden Five complex - there is the SEA there ! ! ) And who wants a real sea - go on a boat trip with swimming in the open sea. .

Animation as such was not, during the day bocha, water polo, water aerobics, and then not every day. . In the evenings, too, the animators were heard every other time, in Turkey in this regard it is more interesting ...Although, there are a lot of small children in the hotel - nighttime animation is generally useless ...

The staff is friendly and responsive. The waiters quickly removed the dirty dishes, but sometimes you had to wait until the table was set with clean cutlery ...
Great guys-bartenders in the Jazz Club and in the bar immediately to the right of the reception ...For the Ladies, on request, they prepare beautiful delicious almost non-alcoholic cocktails, brew delicious coffee ...

The overall impression is good, in principle we got what we expected, the hotel corresponds to the declared 4 * thanks to the Aquapark.
The staff loves the Germans, they "spread" well, but they also communicate normally with the Russians.
