Almost a year has passed and I am finally writing my review (thanks TurPravda) about the Sindbad Beach hotel.
We rested in Sinbad from May 20 to May 27.2012, two families (two adults and two adults with two children 5 and 9 years old). I want to say right away that this hotel belongs to the Biblioglobus tour operator.
TransAero flight, meeting at Biblioglobus airport - everything is at the highest level. We arrived at 20-00 in Egypt, went through customs, etc. Our hotel was the first in line and at 21-00 we were already sitting at the reception. They didn’t give us any money, they settled quickly, they said that dinner was waiting for us at the restaurant. We put ourselves in order and at 22-00 we were at dinner, then there was a smoke break in the hookah bar, but I will write in order.
Number 109 got in the main building, from the reception to the right, on the first floor, and the couple who traveled with us, on the second floor, above us. The room is huge, in fact it is rather a suite, although we paid for the standard. The room consists of two rooms only without a partition, a huge bed for adults stands a little in the back of the second room, but this is not an alcove, so it is not visible from the first room. Otherwise, everything is standard in the room, the shower cabin is really small (as they wrote earlier about Sinbad), TV, table, etc. They don't put water in the refrigerator, and in general it's better to buy water right away at the Ramstor supermarket, which is next to the hotel. They clean every day, weave swans, and leave $2 every other day.
In the bar, bottled water is not given, but only sold, for free in a glass, you do not run to the bar and back for water. The food is standard for Egypt, the only thing is a very large assortment of ice cream, even in a bar by the sea. In a restaurant, alcohol is on a separate table, come and pour yourself as much as you want, at least a whole glass, at least two, with beer the same. In principle, it’s convenient - you don’t have to wait or call the bartender, all drinks are poured into glass, except for the beach and the water park, they are in plastic. Tips are expected everywhere, but $1 is not enough for them, give more or not less than a euro. A lot of Germans, they taught them to such a tip.
There are several slides on the territory of the hotel, they go to the main pool and a bar in it. To the sea 50 meters, sea temperature +30 lafa, air temperature +35 +45. In the sea, the entry is excellent, one sand is not a pebble. There are a few jellyfish near the shore, but they are not dangerous, they do not sting. There is a beach bar. The area is large and quite green, lots of flowers. After sunset, many bushes bloom and there is an awesome smell, after dinner we walked and enjoyed. Recommend.
Opposite our hotel there are two more Sinbads, in one water park and in the other animation. We went to the water park three times (for free, since we had bought a CLUB). The slides there are excellent but not enough (now there is something to compare with, but then it seemed cool). There is a children's water park, good, and on the side "Kids Club". My wife and daughter went, sat, painted, played. Animation takes place in a nearby hotel, where you can have dinner (we did). On the side of the restaurant there is a huge children's town with inflatable slides, a trampoline and all sorts of climbing and jumping ropes, you have to take off your shoes and special people are watching the children there. The daughter was constantly playing there, but the son also did not sit on the sidelines, they let children under 10 years old. First, children's animation starts at 19-30 to 20-30, where children dance and sing. Animators came up to us on the beach and in the water park and offered to work with children in English and German, but after learning that we were Russians, they immediately refused, saying that they did not have a Russian-speaking animator. It was a pity. From 20-30 to 21-00 there is a short break, music plays and the children dance on their own, then from 21-00 to 22-30 adult animation, performances from musicals, magic tricks, dances and the like are generally standard. After the animation, everyone moves to a disco in our Sindbad Beach, the disco passes over the main restaurant from 23-00 to 01-00 and later, the music is ordinary pop and remixes, for an extra charge they will put whatever you want, if available. Alcohol until 24-00 is free after 24-00 for mani, so there is a crush and buzz around the bar, you will have time to order 1 time, maximum two. Many go to a disco next to the hotel, as you leave the hotel to the left.
Breakfast and dinner are held in the main restaurant, lunch in a restaurant by the sea. Tasty food is prepared in Italian (pizza and seafood) and Lebanese (meat) restaurants. Otherwise, the food is standard for Egypt, the restaurants are clean, but like everywhere else. Well done.
Since the hotel is located in Hurghada, there are places to walk, shops, markets, etc. and just walk around the city. We went for a walk around the city at night - it's cool, the main thing is to be polite, smile and not get into an argument with the locals. They sell absolutely everything, even a tank, even nonsense. By the way, in the hotel itself there is a hookah bar, located on the way to the main restaurant, it is very pleasant to sit there in the evening, in the fresh air, with a glass of wine and ku-ri-be. For 20 pounds you choose tobacco, they light a hookah for you and change the coals (disposable mouthpiece), so that the coals are changed more often, do not forget about the tip.
Summing up my review, I would like to say that we liked Sinbad, where we could manage with a smile, somewhere $, but everywhere you have to be polite and positive. We have made many acquaintances from different parts of the planet and Egypt as well. The hotel corresponds to 4 *, it is pleasant to relax in it for families with children and we are glad that we spent 7 wonderful May days in 2012 in this hotel.
