Good day! : )

In my story, I will tell you in general terms about our journey and about those excursions that we ourselves were on. Happy reading; )

I went on vacation with my husband and our friends from October 1 to October 13.2010. We were in Egypt for the first time. We flew through the tour operator TEZ TOUR. Upon arrival, we were met by a guide from the Tez tour, we checked in without any problems and received a visa. When leaving the airport, we were immediately bred for money. In short, the holiday has begun! : -D Although, I can say that we ourselves are to blame here, we got caught out of ignorance. And the meaning was this, they invite you at the exit (in our case, shouting Tez tour), you get into a wagon, you are transported 50-100 meters to your bus and demand $ 1 per person. In general, the advice is this, do not get into the first transport that comes across, go specifically to your bus with the name of the travel agency on it.

We stayed at the Sunrise Holidays Resort. We liked the hotel.

If you are interested in reading my review of the hotel, you can find it here at this link: http://www.turpravda.com/eg/hurgada/Sunrise_Holidays_Resort-h12673-r42686.html

We took all excursions from our tour operator Tez tour. The excursions were well organized, they were always picked up, transported, fed, brought back on time, there are no complaints here. Now I’ll tell you about the excursions themselves, or rather, about the impressions about them. I will not go into a detailed description of the excursions themselves, you will learn all this from your guides in Egypt.

1) Excursion to El Gunna (Egyptian Venice). I liked the tour.

We had a Russian guide Ludmila. She explained everything clearly and in detail, answered all questions. It was nice to look at the beautiful cottages, bungalows and hotels of El Gouna. The excursion involved swimming in the open sea, where you could see corals and fish. The corals were not very impressive, we saw better ones, the same goes for fish. BUT!

I have never seen so many dolphins at the same time in my life! ! ! We came across a school of dolphins with 30 heads, if not more. I have not experienced such a childish delight from this spectacle for a long time. Even our guide said that she herself had not seen this for a long time. Thanks to our captain and fortune that we were able to observe all this, because here we are either lucky or not.

2) Boat trip in the east. I liked the tour.

Here we had an Egyptian guide who spoke Russian very well, we were pleasantly surprised. In this excursion, the underwater world was already more fascinating, the corals are not so lifeless and just huge shoals of fish, I saw such a number of fish for the first time in my life. Really just huge fish came across here (if I didn’t know that they weren’t dangerous, I probably would have had a heart attack), we also saw 2 hefty moray eels (it’s better not to touch them with your hands).

On a fishing trip organized on a yacht (rather conditional), I even managed to catch some kind of sikildavka, as they say, a trifle, but nice : ) On this excursion they took us to the "Paradise Island". "Paradise Island" is of course one name. There were no green oases, waterfalls and mountain rivers, just a deserted piece of land, with a little white sand, several huts for tourists, where a restaurant and maybe something else, a telephone tower in the form of a palm tree, some other structure and in fact, that's the whole "Paradise Island". We swam on it among the coral reefs, watched sea urchins and fish, then back to the yacht. For this excursion, I advise you to get special rubberized slippers or be very careful when swimming over reefs, watch where you step.

3) "White Sun of the Desert". Well, nothing like that ...in principle, I liked it.

The opinion about the tour is ambiguous, but you can go once.

On the tour, be sure to take glasses and a scarf (for example, arafatka) with you so that you can cover both your head and nose. During the tour, the sand climbs wherever possible and impossible. At first, we were taken in jeeps to the Bedouins, fed with local bread (I don’t advise anyone with a weak stomach, the sterility of cooking is a big question), they offered to buy all kinds of jewelry, ointments and herbs of local production. We gladly drank water from a camel bottle and drove back to the base camp. Now recommendations. When you go by jeep to the Bedouins, try to sit as close as possible to the driver, and even better in the front passenger seat, if possible.

The fact is that the rear seats are just above the wheels of the jeep, respectively, the fifth point you feel all the possible delights of a jeep safari : ))) not on everything that the Tez tour guide so colorfully described to us. As for the trip on the ATV, then I immediately warn all those who are hungry for speed, that's just this very speed you will not wait for. Initially, we were divided into 2 groups, for women (like slow) and for men (like high-speed), as a result, by magic, we were united in one group and we barely trudged like turtles, shouting with displeasure to our accompanying Egyptians in all languages, but you can’t whether faster. Of course they didn't understand us. I got the impression that this was done specifically so that it would be convenient for the would-be cameraman to shoot us on a video camera, because.

he filmed us constantly and in a row. Therefore, I advise those who like to drive, before you go to ride ATVs, to agree with the escorts immediately HOW and in WHAT group you will go, and that you would definitely be separated. If necessary, let the guide explain with them, otherwise you will not get any pleasure from riding ATVs. The trip lasts 30-40 minutes. ATVs are a cool thing, I would have liked the trip very much if it weren’t for the turtle speed limit. Now as for the bugs. What we had was not skating, it was a parody of skating. The trip lasted about 15-20 minutes at most, during which we had to change places with neighbors so that they could also drive, because 4 people are placed in the bag. At the same time, you can’t pick up any particular speed, because you are walking in a column. Our bug generally died out without really leaving the base camp, but nevertheless, with grief in half, it was brought to us.

In short, complete nonsense. By the way, I draw your attention to the fact that before you start your “journey” through the desert, you sign the appropriate paper that you are familiar with safety precautions, that is, you are responsible for yourself. Then we had test rides on different living creatures, though not long, but I still got some pleasure, especially from riding a camel and a donkey, it was even funny : ) To my surprise, the living creatures did not stink, which I was afraid of at first . For camel guides, if possible, prepare a tip in advance, they can take pictures of you while riding, and in general they also need to eat, because the country is poor. For us, $ 1 seems to be a trifle, but they will be pleased; ) For the rest, it is not necessary, if desired. After that, the whole action moves to the base camp, and there you are entertained with belly dancing, skirt dancing, yoga shows and a telescope, in which there was nothing much to see.

4.1000 and 1 night and Singing Fountains.

We got the tour as a gift, you can go, quite curious.

The tour is carried out on the territory of a large, very beautiful hotel, on which a special platform has been created, where all the action is carried out. Here you will unfold a whole performance with a short digression into the history of Egypt, a show with Arabian horses and a beautiful singing fountain.

5) Excursion around Hurghada. There is nothing to do here, especially for money.

Since Hurghada is a very young city, it is about 38-40 years old, so there is nothing special to see there. The largest mosque in Egypt and a large Christian temple are still being built there, and it will still cost a very, very long time. But that's not the point. If we were just driven around Hurghada and shown around, it would be really interesting.

BUT, this tour involves visiting some shops, namely a souvenir, textile and leather center, as well as a factory for the production of medicinal oils. A souvenir shop still didn’t go anywhere, you can buy something and, in principle, at a normal price, but everything else is really a scam. Well, we are people already seasoned in such matters, but no matter where and anyhow we don’t buy, but the rest here should be vigilant. Firstly, the Nefertiti factory with its healing oils, it can really be all that wonderful and healing, but sorry, not for the same money! ! ! For me, all these jars and flasks are not worth it! Although, if you are not sorry for the time, then you can listen to the Russian lady there, rubbing you in on how all these gifts of nature are good for the skin, health and male “strength”.

Well, if you don’t feel sorry for the money, then you can buy all this, all of a sudden your hair will grow where it was not destined to grow at all, and you will immediately look 20 years younger at retirement age. Second, regarding the leather factory of TURKISH leather. Advice... forget it! All price tags are without a specific currency. When you ask in what currency products are sold, they answer that in dollars. But this is not even the point, but for what amount all this is sold! ! ! In Moscow, in a boutique, you can buy cheaper, even with those 50% discounts that they offer. In short, a divorce for money is still the same. Again, if you don’t feel sorry for the money, spend it on health, just remember that you are buying a thing for a price that it is not worth. In general, I warned you : )

6) Tezturovskaya night. Nothing to do here either!

In my opinion, this tour is another waste of money. You are collected from hotels and taken by bus to an establishment called Hard Rock Cafe.

Entrance is free, at the entrance you are offered one free alcoholic drink, everything else is for money. Everything would be fine if the cost of drinks at the bar would be adequate, but in my opinion, what they offer there is not worth it. But this is my subjective opinion. For example, a small glass of whiskey-cola with an unlimited amount of ice cost $ 10 there. Maybe for someone this is an acceptable price, but not for ordinary mortals. Moreover, knowing the Russian scope, it is clear that one such cocktail is not enough. Again, do not feel sorry for the money, spend it on your health : ) The music there is for everyone, as in a regular disco club, tyts-tyts-tyts. Young people may also like it, but it is unlikely that people of advanced age will find this institution interesting. Although everything is decorated there in a cool way, in the tradition of the international Hard Rock Cafe chain.

This was our entire tour program in Egypt. We were also offered trips to Cairo, Luxor, Alexandria, Israel, etc.

Recordings last about 1-1.5 hours. Most likely, this was the first and last time when we bought CDs on excursions : ) Conclusion: If you want good quality and what you want, shoot the video yourself : )

The rest of the time, not busy with excursions, we peacefully basked on the beach, swam in the magnificent sea, played volleyball, walked around the city, ate, drank, slept and enjoyed life to the fullest; )

I can say the following about Hurghada itself, the city is rather dirty, in terms of garbage, it is everywhere and in very large quantities. The Egyptians do not keep order on the street, although the city budget provides money for cleaning and even there are special services. There were places where it was relatively clean, but not as much as we would like. Also striking is the huge number of abandoned hotels and buildings under construction and unfinished. In a word, Hurghada resembles a colorful garbage dump and a construction site rolled into one : ) BUT, because

the city is still young and everything is still ahead of it, let's hope that in 10 years it will be put in order and it will become clean and well-groomed. In any case, the climate is wonderful, one breathes easily and deeply, the heat is easily tolerated, and the sea is generally a fairy tale, although it is not Sham el-Sheikh. The next time we are going to Egypt, most likely we will go there already.

The main thing when going on vacation, you should always remember that we create rest and good mood for ourselves. So, I wish you a pleasant journey and an easy way; )
