The selection was based on reviews. We were going to the Albatros Citadel Hotel, but after reading that there was no beach volleyball, we chose the pharaoh. In Egypt, I have been many times and at different resorts, the main preference is the budget and 4 *. Now it’s hard to say what happened before the pandemic in the hotel, but now it falls short of 5 *.
About the main parameters of the hotel: territory, sea, food.
The territory is large, but stupid. Somehow, there was no desire to walk and admire for 12 days. The pool is large with a fountain and a children's area, but for all the time we saw a couple of people there. On the way to the beach, 500 m from the main building, there is a pond with a fountain and green water. You can get to the beach from the reception by car as well as back. The rooms in the main building are ok. Everything worked, burned, the water was summery a couple of times, but the service staff asked and quickly corrected it.

The beach is large, but there is no sea as such for Hurghada. Two piers - one shorter than the other long, but in terrible condition, cut off the path along the water or along the spit at low tide. You can’t swim from the shore and you won’t even lie in the water. In the tide, knee-deep. Everything is ok from the pier, there is a reef. The fish is so-so. Further from the reef, 5 turtles live in the grass. The beach has a bar for drinks only.
The restaurant and kitchen are closed. Not a lot of food variety, but tasty. The wine is delicious, whiskey and rum badyazhat with water. They returned a couple of times, brought another, apologized. There is no animation as such. Those. they are, 4 people, but do nothing. They play volleyball with us 2 times a day and that's it. On the beach there are darts, bocha and towns, but all by themselves. There is a gym, table tennis and an indoor pool.
Impressions from the rest in the hotel are neither good nor bad. In the midst of a pandemic, this is probably the safest and most peaceful place. Good luck to all.
