We stayed in this hotel from 06/27/2012 to 07/03/2012. All inclusive.
General impression: the hotel is old, but they are doing minor repairs (replacing tiles, tiles, sun loungers).
Rooms: settled for an extra charge in bungalow No. 537. Very good location. Close to the sea and pool. The bungalow is divided into zones: a bedroom with a large bed, wardrobe, safe, TV, air conditioning; living room - also air conditioning, sofa, armchairs, table, kitchen table, chairs, kitchen sink, kettle, cups, glasses, 2 sticks of Nescafe, 2 tea bags, sugar and only one 1.5 l bottle of water for the entire stay at the hotel. This is a big minus. The bar is filled upon request. Prices for drinks are 5 times higher than outside the hotel in shops. (Bar replenished themselves). The bathroom has everything you need: a bathroom with a flexible shower, a clothesline for drying clothes (there is such a pimp in the wall, pull, stretch and fasten), shampoo, etc. , hair dryer. High quality cleaning every day. All liked it. In general, I was satisfied.

Territory: a wide alley with large trees, benches, a lake - super. Very nicely trimmed bushes. There is a playground with swings, a kids club, where my 11-year-old child spent with great pleasure from 10.30 to 12.30. There is an amphitheater where shows and children's discos were held, a very good SPA-salon, a gym, an indoor pool with a jacuzzi (it is absolutely not needed in summer, the water is very chlorinated), a billiard room, a bowling alley, shooting from a gun. Tuff-taf cars drive around the territory, it's too lazy to walk. Call reception and order.
Pools: quite a large pool for adults, around which for the kids like a river with bridges, there is a pool for children. Sunbeds around 9.00 occupied freely. The only drawback: when you swim - there is no shade.
Sea: two pontoons. It was very convenient for me that the sea leaves. There is such a gorgeous sandy bottom... For the kids, that's it. And close to corals. Special footwear is not needed. We swam along the buoys on the right. I didn't see a large variety of fish, maybe I was unlucky. But the corals are great. The disadvantage is that the water is very cloudy, both during the day and early in the morning (not dirty, but a lot of small particles in the water, we couldn’t take high-quality photos). There were many jellyfish. At low tide, they were washed up on the shore.
Beach: there are a lot of sunbeds, enough for everyone. Only instead of sand - fine, fine gravel. Bar one at the beginning of the beach. The waiters don't come and don't offer drinks. Self-service. This is a disadvantage. From the end of the beach in the heat for a glass of water - strained.

The most important FOOD: in Egypt for the 7th time. Haven't seen this. On the first day, my husband and I were shocked. Fresh vegetables: sliced raw beets, sliced turnips, julienned pumpkins and carrots, sluggish cabbage, lettuce leaves in bast shoes, cucumbers and tomatoes in limited quantities. There are 7 types of salads, but all of them are not edible. Hot: garnish with mashed potatoes (delicious) or on another day potato slices (not tasty), rice always (dry), stewed vegetables: zucchini, eggplant, carrots, asparagus beans (delicious) or the same vegetables on another day steamed. Sometimes chicken cutlets are bread with no idea what. Sometimes stewed meatballs are meaty (delicious). Soups every day (delicious). Chicken every day once a day - from the chef fried in a piece by hand (dry) or stewed. Fish almost every day once a day (in my opinion pangasius) - half-baked. Spaghetti pasta and horns are fried with tomato sauce every day. Breakfasts are meager: scrambled eggs, rice porridge with milk, boiled eggs, a dry breakfast with milk, sausage and cheese are cut into pieces by the cook (not tasty), pancakes, it is not clear from what green donuts and that's it. But the buns were always delicious, fresh and plentiful. Few fruits. 2 types at a time: bananas, dates, melon, apples, 2 times watermelon was cut into 3 pieces per hand, I saw the remains of grapes, cut oranges. There were few sweets for dinner, there were no cakes, and the cakes were all from the same dough, but different in appearance.
Cons: The restaurant is almost self-service. For drinks you go to the bar, in order to take a glass of cola you have to stand in line. It was I who loudly wrote a glass, not a glass, but a beaker for two sips. The waiters do not walk, dirty dishes are removed after the meal is over. The plates are missing. You can even wait 10 minutes. My child ate scrambled eggs in the morning, cake in the afternoon, naked pasta for dinner. I've been crying for the last few days. I had to take croissants with me. There were such days that it seemed like there was food, but there was nothing to eat.
A couple of months ago this hotel was praised, and that the juices are packaged and the food is normal. Upon arrival, I rustled reviews of people from other 5 * hotels. And I came to the conclusion that in the country of Egypt, maybe in connection with the elections, it was from the end of June that supplies of provisions to Hurghada decreased, packaged juices disappeared, there were no sausages, there was a lot of tension with veal meat, and don’t even think about lamb. So the food in all hotels will be the same.
I would not recommend this hotel because of the food. In August I'm going to the Citadel (we bought vouchers back in May). According to reviews there, the same situation has become with food. And this is a VIP hotel. And it costs a lot more. I'll go and have a look. If so, why pay more.
