Rested from 15 to 26 September 2012. Four adults with a child 4.5 years old.

Location:
Located 25 km from Hurghada, 8 km from the airport, on the beach. Very comfortably.
10 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the city. You can take a taxi to the city for $ 3 (this is normal), or you can take a minibus for half a dollar. There were five of us, so we took a taxi. Across the road there are shopping malls, with Russian-speaking owners (all the owners, in their words, are Christians).

Hotel:
Opened in 1997, currently undergoing partial renovation. The broken tiles at the pools are being changed, and decorative stone borders are laid out along the perimeter of the paths, which does not interfere with vacationers at all. When we installed the fourth slide at the children's pool. The hotel is more suitable for families. Very beautiful, large area. Electric cars drive from the main building to the beach.

Check in:
We arrived at 10:00 am Egyptian time (check-in from 12:00).

The bracelets were put on upon arrival, so we had time to have breakfast. Until 12:00 all arrivals, except for us, were settled. We were offered a choice of rooms or bungalows for two families. The rooms were promised to be very good, after the inspection they chose the rooms and for this they charged us $20 each (later we found out that all the windows in the rooms only face the courtyard and there is simply no “view of the wall, etc. ”, because h. , to pay, it also makes no sense). But the rooms were really good, everything worked and the location was good (on the second floor in the central building, everything is nearby). They dragged the suitcases themselves, no one even tried to help.

Number:
Balcony (second and third floor) or terrace (on the ground floor), baby cot (on request), decent beds and quality linens, carpeted floors. Large bathroom, bidet, hair dryer. Towels were changed every cleaning, toiletries (gel, shampoo, soap) were not changed and were not reported even once, including you need to have your own.
Centralized air conditioning (worked great for us, you can adjust the temperature, both plus and minus). Mini-bar (an old empty, practically non-working refrigerator), 6 Russian TV channels, a safe in the room, a telephone. The room was cleaned with our consent. The room is equipped with a tea table with an electric kettle, we replenished the supplies ourselves (brought tea, sand and all sorts of goodies from the restaurant). Everything in the room has already served for at least 10-15 years, and is pretty worn out.

Nutrition:
We had All Inclusive from 10:00-24:00.
Breakfast (08:30-10:30) - eggs in various variations, rubber pancakes, and a variety of pastries and jams. All this can be washed down with tea, coffee, milk or diluted juice (like UPI), there are no packaged juices.
Lunch (12:30-14:30) - meat and fish dishes in various variations (not everything could be eaten). They gave crabs. They make boiled pasta with spices (it’s difficult to call this work pasta), there was boiled rice, steamed vegetables.
From fresh vegetables (carrots, grated), sliced tomatoes (not at all tasty), cucumbers (just homesickness, sorted out in a matter of seconds), and a lot of inedible salads (in my opinion), there were broths and mashed soups, (Some were very tasty). Absolutely not tasty potatoes (in any versions), if they didn’t know that there is no frost in Egypt, one would think that frozen potatoes. There were no fries at all. Sausage even seemingly inedible, we did not risk eating it. There are several types of cheeses, most of the type of cheese (very tasty, but not for everyone).

Dinner (18:30-22:30) - BBQ sausages and chicken cooked on the cook's grills delighted for dinner.
It seemed that everything was meat and chicken and liver, but everything was somehow not tasty, insipid and monotonous. On the fifth day, I did not want to go to lunch at all. We went to McDonald's. Lots of different pastries, we ate them.
You can eat boiled rice, it is without any spices, but in 12 days it just got tired. Instead of mayonnaise, locally produced sauces are presented. For some reason, ketchup was given only to the Germans. From the fruits were: bananas (not tasty), grapes (tasty), watermelon (tasty), pears (not tasty), quince (not tasty), oranges (not tasty and not beautiful in appearance), melons (tasteless), and dates (both fresh and dried).
The children's table is represented by a very meager assortment, you can say it was not there at all. Our little beauty lived practically on juices and puffs. Packaged juices were bought in stores, ice cream was never given.
Alcohol was poured, but with such a look that it seemed that we had the last earned blood and then take it away. They can pretend to be incomprehensible, once they poured us water with vodka instead of a sprite with vodka - and all this with a smile on his face. Just gave them those cocktails back. Although we didn’t sit in bars and didn’t go drunk and didn’t even look like that.
The wine taken at dinner was white, red and rose. All wine is dry, not for everybody. Beer, as we were told, you can drink. Whiskey is too specific - it is impossible to drink. They tried cocktails, which they made with joy, but as soon as they found out that they had come with their husbands, the joy disappeared somewhere.
6 restaurants, 4 bars were declared. In fact, 5 restaurants and 2 bars, we did not see any more, or did not understand that this was a restaurant or a bar.
Restaurants. 1 is a catering restaurant where our daily meal took place.

Four restaurants - with a one-time free visit (record at the administrator, for a specific time and date). Italian is the worst restaurant, it was impossible to eat everything that was served, they didn’t even give a glass of wine for free, they asked for 50 dollars. We ate only ice cream and went to dinner. Asian - the same buffet, only in a different place with local flavor, local alcohol is free. Live music plays, bread is baked.
Fish - very tasty dishes and wonderful waiters. Chinese - the most delicious dishes were there, the evening was a success.
Two bars, one by the pools (all drinks are only in plastic cups, which then flew empty around the territory), another Lobby bar on the first floor of the hotel (here you can get drinks in glass cups, it depends on what kind of bartender there will be). We didn't find two more bars.

Services:
Two outdoor pools, one for children with four slides for children, and one for adults, there is an indoor heated pool in winter and a hint of a jacuzzi in the spa. Along the perimeter of the pools (they are adjacent, at different levels, water flows from the children's pool to the adult pool), very convenient small rivers are made (the pools are two and a half meters wide, three meters wide, and 20-30 cm deep) are very popular with small children, and adults too too. In the outdoor pool, classes were held, with everyone interested, aqua aerobics.
Umbrellas, sun loungers, mattresses by the pools and on the beach - free of charge, towels on the cards. Changed towels at the pool and on the beach without any problems. Free sun loungers, both by the pools and on the beach, could be found without difficulty.
The spa center has a gym (free of charge), you can get a massage (of course for a fee). My 3 massages, 3 chocolate facials, and 3 sauna sessions cost $80 (and that's discounted).
There is a playground, with shabby benches, swings, and slides, but the kids are happy. From the side, it is not clear for whom the territory fenced with a fence (probably some kind of animal used to sit there) The entire playground resembles our old playgrounds from our childhood.
The declared children's club exists only as a separate, untidy room, in which there is not a single toy, and not a single children's book, and not a single book in Russian, although 80% of the vacationers were Russian.

Internet is paid (we took 30 minutes - 5 dollars, or 4 euros). During these 30 minutes, we could not connect, took another 30 minutes, the result is the same. As a result, they congratulated their son on his birthday by phone.
The shops on the territory of the hotel are very expensive, we have never seen anyone shopping there, but the sellers are very friendly (probably they miss talking). Opposite the hotel there are malls where all sorts of things are sold, and much cheaper than in the hotel. The quality of goods leaves much to be desired, so we did not buy anything except souvenirs.
Currency exchange can be done around the clock (there is an ATM in the hotel lobby for $ 1 - this is 6 Egyptian pounds), but everywhere you can pay in dollars. Money can be withdrawn from the card.
There is a beauty salon where it is fashionable to do manicures and pedicures. I braid pigtails, and make simple haircuts (or maybe even very tricky ones). You can also get a temporary tattoo there.
We did not like the animation, all contests are designed for tipsy audience. It was even a shame for our compatriots, as they were mocked by the "local" animators at the show jumping "Mr. Sonesta" - so we did not go to subsequent events.
Children's animation was generally specific: a Russian girl came out and danced with herself, she did not need children. Our baby cried when she was first taken to a group of children who were dressed in different costumes, and then she was simply left to stand alone. As it turned out, there was simply no suitable costume for her, the child stood and cried until dad took her away. The animators did not trouble themselves with studying dance movements to a certain music, the newly arrived kids had to look at the kids who already knew these movements. After 3-4 days, another girl appeared, like a more decent one. In general, children's animation is designed for children from 10 years old.

We did not find the declared bowling alley. Three or four times there was live music. Periodically invited to show programs (everything is paid from 25-60 dollars). There is a diving center (on the beach to the left of the sea), the guys there are great, they go around, offer masks (free of charge), and other underwater equipment. They offer underwater trips, sea excursions, etc. , at a price much lower than that of tour agents from the hotel. Conducted dart shooting competitions (darts). There is a mini-golf course, a basketball court and a tennis court (in the daytime everything is free, and in the evening for money, payment for lighting). There is one table tennis table. Volleyball is played on the beach.

Beach:
Own, sandy, there are corals, a pontoon, near a small port. We saw how on the beach those who wanted to ride a camel (I don’t know how much it costs).
We liked the beach.
In the sea, then, the tide, then the ebb, and it is convenient for adults to swim from the pontoons for both children and adults (from the pontoon there is an entrance to the aground for children, and there is an entrance to the depth for adults). In the morning the water is clear. Corals are beauty, and most importantly, everything is nearby. If there is garbage on the beach, it is a minus for vacationers. Many fish, which can be seen directly from the pontoon, you can admire for hours. In the corals we fed fish from our hands, we saw moray eels, stingrays, lionfish, etc. Simply delight and beauty, that's where we spent all the time. In the morning we got up at 7:00 and walked slowly to the sea, then breakfast and to the pool. After lunch again at the sea and there until 18:00, then dinner. In the evenings we went to restaurants (four restaurants by appointment), several times we went to a mini-disco. We visited the Mister Sonesta competition, that was enough for us. They walked around the area.

Tours:
Excursions were taken from our tour operator from Intourist, Sammy.
Guide Semi was always very friendly, answered all questions, left his cell phone for emergency calls. All information received on time. Thank him very much.
On the day of the meeting, excursions are given with discounts, then according to the price list (then we did not know about the existence of a diving center).
We took an excursion to the Orange Island (initially it was $65 per person, they made a discount, it turned out to be $45 per person and the child was free), and as a plus they gave an excursion to Hurghada, the declared cost in the price list is $10 per person.

1. Orange Island. In the morning, having collected all the tourists from their hotels, they were taken by bus to the pier of the Steigenberder Hotel. We were given masks with snorkels and flippers. Loaded on a yacht, and we went to sea. At sea, there were two stops at coral reefs. Those who wish, accompanied by a guide, swam in the sea. The guide made underwater filming and entertained on the yacht (later it was offered to buy a video from him for $ 35).
We spent 1 hour on Orange Island. There are inflatable slides aground, which are simply unrealistic to climb, there is no entertainment. The group was fed and given a coupon for 1 free glass of water, it could be purchased at the bar (fanta, cola or sprite - to choose from). Drinking water could be poured without restriction from the cooler. All alcoholic drinks are chargeable (a can of beer is five dollars). Upon arrival at the port, the team collected tips, we arrived at the hotel around 18:00. I liked the tour very much, but the island itself was disappointing.
2. Excursion to Hurghada, we stopped at the carpet factory, where it was proposed to purchase products, then to the oil factory. We visited a Christian temple and saw a mosque. It was suggested shopping, with the purchase of fruit, and a souvenir shop. We stopped at a papyrus store and a Karkusha cotton store. In the morning we left at 9:30 and arrived at the hotel at about 19:00. I really liked the carpet factory.
I would not put 5 stars to this hotel, but it deserves 4 stars only for the beautiful territory and the sea.
Sorry for the length, but it might be useful to someone.
Have a nice holiday everyone.
