My friend and I vacationed a lot, traveling every year, and this is our 20th trip to Egypt. I don't understand the negative reviews about this hotel!!!
The location is fantastic: right next to the Sheraton, tons of shops and pharmacies all around, the fish market and port are 10 minutes away, and there's a McDonald's across the street! ! )))
The beach has new "mushrooms, " is clean, plenty of space for everyone, towels are provided, and the entrance to the sea is sandy. There's a beach bar, and everyone gets a full drink. The pools are fine, and the slides are open.
The rooms are the reason for the minus one star...It depends on the person: renovated or just updated, the furniture is tired...but everything works, they clean, and the sheets and towels are fine. Soaps and toiletries are provided daily, and there's always hot water. These are standard rooms. I didn't stay in a bungalow because they're gloomy and dark (in my opinion).
The food is excellent!! ! I'm diabetic, and my food choices are extremely limited: side dishes like grains, pasta, and potatoes are off-limits! Sweets and most fruits are off-limits! So, when choosing a hotel, I look for a variety of dishes so I can choose what's allowed given my condition. So, don't listen to anyone!
Meat, fish, cheese, eggs of all kinds, vegetables, fruits, herbs, baked goods (even rye bread) – everything is available! Once a week, seafood and a large grilled baked fish (I don't know the name) are handed out in portions, but no one counts how many times you come back for a serving. Drinks are available, even Coke Zero… not all 5-star hotels have it for tourists, but in Regina, it's available in all the bars and restaurant. They include a coffee machine at breakfast – choose your favorite one, but the rest of the time, the bars always have one (a machine).
Another minus one star in the hotel rating is the Wi-Fi… weak in the hotel lobby and that's it, it's not available anywhere else. We bought a SIM card and used it for all our gadgets.
