I don’t even know if I’ll tell you more about the hotel or the trip, I hope to combine two stories into one. We decided to go to Cairo, but to look at the pyramids not during the day but at night, to visit the world-famous laser show, to see Cairo through the eyes of the local population, a painfully interesting city.

We decided to go to Cairo, but to look at the pyramids not during the day but at night, to visit the world-famous laser show, to see Cairo through the eyes of the local population, a painfully interesting city. You will never see it like this on excursions, you will not feel the flavor of the population, our evenings are like exhibits there. In two words, very interesting and exciting. . .
We stayed at the Siag Piramids Hotel 4 *, a 10-storey huge building, the hall certainly impressed, everything was in gold color, flowers, and was even decorated for Christmas...
We took a room for 2 days ($ 20 per person, HB food). We were given a room on the 9th floor, at first I thought that garbage was slipped and was upset. The room honestly does not pull on 4 * at all.
In the room: TV (apparently for the sake of appearance, because turning it on we did not find a single channel, we did not call the reception because there was no time), 2 single beds, bedside table, dressing table, chest of drawers, air conditioning, refrigerator. The toilet and bathroom are adjacent, the hair dryer is at the reception… To be honest, not very but when we parted the curtains, everything immediately became second plan… Outside the window, the pyramids stood in full view, in all their beauty, oh, if you knew this feeling when you fall asleep and you just can't come to terms with the idea that outside the window is one of the few surviving wonders of the world. For a very long time I could not close my eyes and lay there until 4 in the morning, around 6 I had to close the curtains, because the sunlight began to hit my eyes. The evening before, we went to a laser show, though it was in English (it was in Russian on another day), but this did not bother us, we know English. After we returned to the hotel, had dinner, and went to see Cairo at night. Many intricate streets with all kinds of shops ranging from delicious sweets to silver and national clothes, which you will never see in charm and if you see it for fabulous money. The next day we visited a leather store and factory, where they mend, process and sew leather products: python, crocodile, cow and... There I bought a bag made of python skin for $ 40, then in Sharm they saw exactly the same for 120.
A little more about the hotel: it has an unheated pool, we swam with an Arab family from Cairo (they decided to take a day off for themselves). There is a cafe on the 10th floor and an Arab disco on the 1st floor, quite colorful, it’s interesting to go…
Food at the hotel:
Breakfast is standard, buns, butter, cheese, sausage, jams, porridge, tea…
Dinner: (you could choose there) soup, mashed potatoes with chicken, ice cream (what we chose) a large portion, we all did not master...
Let's just say, for 20 bars a day with food, it's normal, even good, even if the rooms are not luxury....
We also visited a lot of places that they don’t see on ordinary excursions, you can’t count them all... but it’s worth seeing.
Perhaps the hotel is not the best, not the latest technology, but when one of the 7 wonders of the world is outside the window, why is there a TV ??? ? everything else is no longer necessary, are we really such snobs that when we go on vacation we cannot live 3-4 days without the wonders of technology, then what we are trying to escape from, without realizing it, we are looking for and making claims if it is not there. Indeed, in this plastic box they show all the same pyramids, mosques, seas and oceans that we ourselves can see, and even touch, even if we don’t have a 5c + number, a white coat and slippers, you can enjoy the technique at home with monotonous workdays... You can just enjoy the ancient landscape from the window and be with your loved one??????? ?

It is not very clear to me in what years this hotel had 5 stars. Officially, there are now 4 of them. In fact, 1 star is just right. Roof, windows and doors. A bridge is being built on one side of the hotel, on the other side of which the pyramids are visible (from the upper floors) there is a road, I would say a highway.

The restaurant sucks, having breakfast in it is better not to go far from the toilet. I have been in this hotel several times. Everything just gets worse. In Egypt, in general, the number of stars should not be trusted.
