Rested family (me, husband and child 9 years old) 12 days at the end of May. 3rd time in Egypt, but first time in Madinat Makadi. After reading reviews about a quick settlement, we chose a tour with an early arrival. We were at the hotel at 8 am. They put on bracelets, gave them to fill out questionnaires, and then with a smile they say that they will be settled at 14-00, since there are no free rooms. We were stunned... and they tell us, go swim, sunbathe, in general, relax. We were tortured, we didn’t sleep at night, the green child (sick on the road) wandered around the territory until 11 am, there was no mood anymore. Then the husband came to the reception and calmly explained what he thinks about the hotel and service. And lo and behold!! ! 10 minutes later we were given a room that we liked and our mood began to change for the better.
But in general, I really liked the hotel, beautiful territory, very good food, friendly staff, some write that they treat the Germans better, I didn’t really notice this. It’s just that our people have such a mentality that we won’t sit idly by, but we’ll all go and bring ourselves. And the Germans are different))))
I won’t say anything about the animation, because in the morning they work near the pools, on the beach there is only boccia. And we go to Egypt only for the sake of the sea, although jellyfish, of course, upset us a little. But on such jellyfish days we went to the water park. I liked it very much, especially my son.

Some cons - purely my IMHO:
1. Every day I counted 20-35 boats in the sea !! ! Coral slippers were brought home with black soles from fuel oil. But I really want to believe that they swam in the clear sea.
1. The sand on the beach is terrible, they could have brought fresh. Nearby in Solimar, the beach is much better, and sometimes they went swimming in TIA behind the pier.
2. There is no towel dispenser on the beach. Carrying with you, in addition to a bag, fins, children's berths, 3 large towels was not very convenient.
In general, I liked the Iberotel chain, I will advise this hotel to friends, it is quite possible that we will come here again, although there are still so many beautiful places in the world. But while the child is still small, the Red Sea and Madinat Makadi are a very worthy option.
