I want to share my impressions of staying at the IBEROTEL MAKADI OASIS RESORT 4 * hotel. The hotel is located in a complex of hotels of the Iberotel chain, Solymar and Jazz, together they form a huge territory on which 8 hotels are located. All together it is called Madinat Makadi. This means that tourists can use the entire infrastructure of all hotels. You can walk around neighboring hotels, go to an evening show, play sports at all sports grounds. You can only eat and drink on the territory of your hotel. The beach is divided into zones, and each hotel has its own piece of the beach, on which there is a bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as a snack bar where you can have a bite to eat without pretensions.
On the territory of Madinat there is a pharmacy, a discotheque, shops, a spa, tennis courts, golf courses, a water park, etc. , i. e. you can relax without leaving the hotel.
Now directly about the hotel itself.
Settlement.

Everything is very fast, upon arrival you need to fill out a questionnaire, passports are not robbed (you can return them to the safe located at the reception, for free). We arrived as two families, at first we were given rooms far from each other, we asked for rooms next to each other, they changed immediately, without problems and baksheesh. The Russian guest relation explained to us the rules of conduct at the hotel, about the dress code for dinner, etc. Then we immediately went to lunch, in the meantime our suitcases were delivered to the rooms.
About numbers. The rooms are very nice! The room has a main room with beds, and between the room and the balcony there is a small room with two sofas and a table. If your child is sleeping, close the skin there with curtains and sit. There are also lamps and shelves near the sofas, where it is convenient to put glasses, bottles, or lay out some of your little things. The furniture is not new, but it is oriental in style and looks nice. Rooms are updated, and very quickly.
We witnessed how local workers took out about 50 toilets in a day, and on another day they demolished the same number of doors. There is no noise and dust from the repair, the buildings where the repair is being carried out are fenced off so that you may not even notice that there is a repair.
The mattresses on the beds are comfortable, the only pillow I had was very high, I asked for a lower one. It was brought immediately, but it was so low that I could not sleep on it.
Linen is good, there are no pellets. Towels are also good, white, towels on the beach are also clean, large, fluffy.
Plumbing and everything in the bathroom is good. There is no bathroom, there is a shower. There are no interruptions with water, hot water flows with a bang. The water in the shower is desalinated, but there is no smell of rotten meat, only a little smell of bleach. I brushed my teeth with this water, everything is fine. There are no shampoos or creams in the bathroom, only liquid soap. I carry my good shampoo with me, so it didn't bother me.
Cleaning in the room was good, spun out of towels both with tips and without.
But with a tip they spin more beautifully, as it seemed to me. Every day they bring a bottle of water per person. We didn’t have time to drink, because water is everywhere.
The hotel has two swimming pools, heated and not. The pools are big and beautiful. Next to them there is a scoreboard where three times a day they write the temperature of water and air, and the chlorine content in the water.

Towels are issued only next to the large pool, it is not very convenient when you go to the beach.
About the beach. Walk to the beach for 5 minutes along a covered corridor. The entire corridor is covered with flowering shrubs, you walk in the shade. You can go through the territory of the first line hotels, but the corridor is the fastest. The only thing I did not like on the beach - umbrellas are very often. It's bearable, but I like a more secluded beach holiday. In the off season, when we were, it's still nothing, but when there are a lot of people in the hotel, you will feel like in the Chinese subway.
The entrance to the sea is sandy, at a distance of fifty meters there are coral reefs. If you have been to Marsa Alam, you will be bored. Good for beginner snorkelers.
On the beach, you can take fins masks for free (it seems on bail). But it's better to have your own.
The water at the end of January was warm 20-22 degrees, this is not always the case with us in the summer. But the children will probably be a little cool, or if you watch the fish for a long time.
The Germans on the beach are playing boccia (loudly, with exclamations like OPA! ). You can play volleyball.
There is a bar on the beach, where you can drink alcoholic cocktails (with yuppie juices - sucks), coca cola (smells like licorice), fanta (its color is nuclear orange, it tastes nothing), soda (normal), tea (delicious), coffee (sucks, but if you add milk, sugar and rum, it will trample in cool weather). By the way, you can pour coffee yourself from the coffee pot, or ask the bartender, he will pour it from the machine. In the coffee pot in general slag, in the car a little better.
Ice cream on the beach only popsicles.

From 12 to 17 you can have a bite on the beach. Grilled meatballs are fried (it is quite possible to eat, it seems from beef), or chicken with vegetables (normal), or something else meat. French fries are fried (delicious, better than poppy seeds), you can take salad, fruits such as apples, bananas, guava, dates, oranges, muffins, pretzels. They also make pizza there. Sauce is poured onto a dough cake, you choose the filling yourself: tomatoes, peppers, sausages, onions, chicken, minced meat, cheese. It has nothing to do with pizza, but you can eat it. Freshly squeezed juices on the beach for 2 bucks. Once they gave strawberries, but not enough.
About food at the hotel. The main restaurant is open from 6.30 to 23.30, with half-hour breaks. They say after the revolution the food became worse, I think it is. There seems to be a lot of food, but there is nothing to eat. For breakfast, scrambled eggs like everywhere else, a lot of different breads, there are cereals, muesli, vegetables (tasty cucumbers, iceberg and romaine lettuce, peppers, arugula, olives, delicious boiled beets).
Powdered mashed potatoes, but there's a real one in the kids section!
For dinner, they make a grill: either fish, or meat, or crabs. There was also duck and chicken, very tasty. There are also soups for dinner.
For lunch and dinner there is a different pasta, but I didn’t like it, but the Germans eat it.
Even at dinner you can eat ice cream, sometimes pancakes are fried (I liked it), once there were round donuts - very tasty! They were fried right there in front of you. You won’t lose weight with such food)) Sweets for dinner - the same biscuit cakes with different creams, jams - always the same, but very tasty! They also gave oriental sweets.
The waiters deliver wine (red and white, it tastes normal if you are not a gourmet. Once you asked for rose wine, they stupidly mixed red and white. Neighing), you can pour soda, tea, beer and coffee yourself.
You can also have a bite from 12 to about 17 at the pool. There is the same pizza, sandwiches, muffins, the guy is frying pancakes with jam, honey, nutella.
There is also ice cream (the ball is placed in the cone). It was chocolate, cream, mango - all delicious. This bar has packaged juices, they also prepare cocktails with them.
One day they were making rolls for dinner. This is a pipets, comrades, my homemade rolls are a masterpiece compared to theirs. The most set-up was with rice - it was sticky like porridge, you take such a roll in your mouth and it sticks there, gets stuck and doesn’t want to go further. soy sauce is like hell.

In general, talking about food - if you are a gourmet, you are not in this hotel. But you definitely won't leave hungry! The main thing is to try everything, and you will find food to your taste. And eat more vegetables and fruits, since they are there.
About alcohol. Beer is fine, wine will do too. Strong drinks in their pure form strongly do not advise - a gag reflex is provided. You can drink it in cocktails. They have such a menu in the bar with 10-15 cocktails.
In fact, everything is the same screwdriver, only with either juice or cola-sprite, with different syrups. Rum is better than whiskey, whiskey tastes like weed. There is also ouzo, have not tried it.
We bought rum in a dutik and made cocktails ourselves with their juices in bags. Ice can be borrowed from the restaurant or bar. After dinner, we took charcoal for hookah from the barbecue (we bought it, we were eager to try it, it was a waste to kindle the charcoal ourselves).
About the territory. Everything is very beautiful, a lot of greenery, flowers and trees. On the territory of neighboring hotels, figures of animals are cut out of the bushes - very beautiful. I think this is one of the greenest hotels in Egypt.
About the water park. It's free! And drop dead! We went three times. There is a free bus every 15 minutes. The water park is huge, very steep slides for adults - they rode until you drop. Lots of fun stuff for kids too. There are slides for very young children and for older children. Warm water.
Everything is very safe, it is very difficult to get hurt or hurt. The only negative is the slightly slippery floor, it is best to ride in coral slippers, especially for children and teenagers. There is a bar on the territory where you can drink tea-coffee-cola, eat ice cream (in cones), eat pizza (so-so), pasta (so-so), burger (very tasty), panini, hot dog, something sweet . Entrance to the water park on the cards that are given upon arrival along with the key to the room and cards for towels. All in all, I highly recommend this water park!

Shopping. Madinata stores are overpriced. We bought a bracelet for 30 bucks, then we saw the same one in Hurghada for 10. If you want to buy something for little things, it will do, if you want to buy a lot of everything - it’s more profitable to go to Hurghada. Taxis can be ordered through shop assistants. We were five of us, the car was like a minibus, the same number of people would fit in there.
First we went to Dahar to the vegetable market (the spectacle is not for the faint of heart, the girls need to dress in long clothes, but the prices are low: a kilogram of strawberries is 1.5 bucks, strawberries are delicious, bananas (yum-yum), mangoes (unrealistically delicious), melons)), then we went to the main street of Hurghada, where Mak. There's a hell of a lot of shops, all sticky. In the end, we rode for more than 5 hours, the taxi driver drove us around the store, and we paid 35 bucks for everything. At the hotel, a taxi costs 50 dollars, a bus 8 bucks per person, and will give you 2 hours of free time there. So a taxi in every sense is more profitable.
Animation for children was kind of good, it seems there is a kids club. In the evening, the animators put on a show in the amphitheater. If you do not find fault - very fun, funny, funny.
Separately, I want to say about the discrimination of Russians in the hotel. She is. The Germans in the bar poured beer into glass, us into plastic. At dinner, wine is poured into glasses for them, and into glasses for us. Well, and so on in detail.
I think this problem would be easily solved with a tip, but it didn’t soar for me. In general, the hotel staff is very friendly, everyone talks to you, greets you, but no one bothers, no obscenities, everyone is very polite!

I also want to talk about windsurfing separately. On the territory of the Iberotel Makadi Beach 5 * hotel there is a German Surf Motion station. The station as a whole is nothing, the prices are average. The equipment is not new, the sails are patched. Daggerboards for beginners generally look like dinosaurs. Access to open water is not very convenient - you need to go through a 30-meter hole between corals (flags indicate the way). It is easy to break the feather on the corals, breaking the feather is not included in the insurance. The people at the station are good, they will tell you everything, help, etc. I would not train with their instructors, although I could be wrong. In general, for beginners, the water area is not very good.
If the wind blows along the shore, then it’s normal, but if it’s across, then you’ll go out into the big water, you’ll be tormented by spinning between the corals.

In general, I want to say that in general the hotel really liked! This is the 4th time in Egypt, while this is the best hotel I've been to. I recommend to everyone. If you have any questions, I'll try to answer.
