Egypt is a country of contrasts and contradictions, but despite this, our seven-day vacation can be considered one of the best!!!
We returned home yesterday. First, the female point of view... I liked everything in the hotel, because. we didn’t go to look for flaws in the corners, but to enjoy the sea, sun and relaxation. We lived in building No. after noisy parties in the main building, they came to sleep in a quiet, remote place, the road (from 3 to 7 minutes) did not bother at all, but even pleased with the well-groomed green area, birds, flowers and all this incredible beauty that ends right outside the hotel gates. Well, this is understandable - around the desert. The food strained only with variety and the main problem was simply not to overeat, and I think everyone found dishes to their liking. I personally tried to limit myself to vegetables and meat dishes. True, with great difficulty, because I always wanted to try something new. I really liked the light local beer and tomato juice. There were no problems with the stomach, although we denied ourselves little, enjoying all the abundance of dishes from the heart and stomach!  As for the beach and the sea: the entrance to the water is good: a knee-deep spit of 40 meters is ideal for small children, then the depth is for self-confident swimmers. The purest water! There was always enough space under the sun: there was no shortage of sun loungers, umbrellas and towels at all. On the beach, it was a little uncomfortable at first from several intrusive local "agents" from travel agencies, massage parlors and a photographer, then we got a little tanned and they all spread to the next newly arrived crowd of "pale faces". Well, in general, if you respond to their onslaught benevolent, then no one will be rude. Everywhere all the staff is very friendly, they cleaned the room, changed towels and bed linen daily. I did not notice any discrimination, they treated both foreigners and Slavs equally well. Advice to everyone who is going to this hotel is to take raptor-type plates with them: on the first night of arrival there was no wind and mosquitoes appeared. I didn’t hear them, but my husband reacted very much.
They often write in reviews that the Arabs are annoying with their rudeness towards girls. Yes, not a single self-respecting Arab or Egyptian will miss a girl without a compliment or the phrase: “Habibi! ” or “Oh, what a princess! ”, but personally I didn’t notice any rudeness! Everyone is very polite and respectful! Personally, I perceived all such signs of attention with humor and it added a good mood and emotions! But in general, the hotel left only pleasant memories for me personally.

We took all the excursions (and there were three of them: Luxor, Tobia Island and ATVs) at once on the day of arrival from our guide from the tour operator - Soral, which we later regretted - comparing with the prices offered for the same excursions by local representatives on the beach - we did conclusion that they overpaid a fairly large amount. Therefore, advice - evaluate slowly, compare, and then choose what you like and can afford.
Now the male point of view. . . We were in Egypt for the first time, so there is nothing to compare with, but if we take the Turkish four in which we were last year, then Tia Heitz pulls almost a seven. Everything is impressive, especially the sea. If anyone likes to dive, then there is nothing to do in the Mediterranean Sea, but here it’s just a fabulous feeling, it seems as if you got into an aquarium. The variety of fish is just incredible! I’ll warn you right away that you need a special box for filming underwater, so it’s better to buy it at home, as there are plenty to choose from and the prices are lower. In the Makadi Bay shopping area, I saw only plastic footcloths for 50 bucks. They are reliable enough, but the price is doubled at least (50 dollars). And in no case do not buy discs with a record of your excursions (Quad bikes, Yacht, etc. ) !! ! Not only is the sound completely removed and instead a track with Egyptian music is superimposed, which does not fit into the video sequence in terms of rhythm, but the quality of the recording is worse than on a pirated DVD with 15 films on one side. Moreover, the operator shoots on a quite decent semi-professional Panasonic, though of the Stone Age, but apparently on such a hackneyed cassette that the quality is completely absent. The CDs that are given as a gift are no better. Do not use local Kodak stores to transfer information from a photo or video camera to a USB flash drive. It's better to buy an additional flash card at home (it's cheaper and safer! ) A local "virtuoso" managed to plant a Trojan on both flash drives for me, and somehow, instead of deleting old files, he made them hidden. The same thing happened with the camera card, so the computer simply does not see all 4 giga of photos. The problem is solvable, but still unpleasant.
The kitchen made me very happy. When I returned from Turkey, the first thing I stopped at was a barbecue and ate a hefty piece of meat. Here, there were no problems with meat: chicken, beef, lamb, and everything is very tasty. many write in the reviews that a lot of spicy. Don't eat those pickled salads! After all, it is full of fresh vegetables, and the concept of "spicy" does not mean an excess of vinegar, and I did not find excessively peppered there.
From alcohol you can drink only beer, everything else - sucks! All five types of local strong drinks taste like perfect cologne diluted with water. However, people whip all this for a sweet soul in buckets, apparently guided by the saying "freebie and sweet vinegar. " They say that dry wines are not bad, but for some reason I doubt that this is not a powder.

Stock up on small banknotes in foreign currency, there is no change. Never and no one! Bargain with all the talent that you have, depending on your abilities, you can knock down from 30 to 70% of the original cost, do not be afraid to pretend that you are leaving, they will not let you go anyway, they will give in. For example, two panama hats, for which at first they wanted 27 dollars, we eventually bought for 10. But they are not traded everywhere and do it, unlike the Turks, without pleasure. They prefer the burghers and the Franks there, who do not bargain at all and immediately pay the requested price. Therefore, it seems to me, they do not like us precisely because we are the same rogues as they are.
In general, if you do not take into account the little things that, I think, are in any hotel, we rested just fine!! !
