We were in Egypt for the first time, so we had nothing to compare with. I went with my husband, I am 28 and he is 30 years old. We rested for 11 days. Before choosing a tour, we thoroughly prepared, looked through a lot of offers and reviews, listened to experienced acquaintances.
So I’ll say right away that we paid ridiculous money for the tour, but we got a lot of pleasure and normal service. Yes, there were some shortcomings, but it depends on how you react. If you want to spoil your holiday - it's your own business. The only time we very delicately hinted that our room cleaner did not take out the trash, they listened to us very carefully and promised to fix everything. I just don't remember if it fixed something : )
Our room was in the very last building, backroom. At first there was a desire to change, but then changed their minds. The bed is excellent, the water is hot, there is no one nearby from the rest, it is quiet and calm, the music is not heard at all. Only the Arabs who work in the hotel next door go to their buildings, but this does not interfere at all. In the room we only changed clothes and slept at night. Our vacation was thought over at home: a day excursion - a day at the hotel beach - a day excursion - a day at the hotel beach, and so on for 11 days. We heard complaints from vacationers from the main building: music from nearby hotels, a lot of people running around, ants in the room (! ). We didn't have that. Water, cola, fanta and sprite are constantly brought to the room, we didn’t even drink it all.
The sea is relatively clean, but not to say that it is terribly dirty. One day some kind of dregs was spilled over the sea, probably from boats nearby. There are enough sun loungers on the beach, you can find free ones at any time, although our people occupied from early morning or even left something in the evening. Towels were given out to some people new, others not so much, I don’t know on what basis they shared, but I did an experiment and came up alone without a husband with a smile and asked for towels in Arabic - after this they gave only new ones.
Guides are very good, they tell everything as it is. We had an overlay with excursions, but nothing happens. The rest of the staff are also very helpful. I made friends with a local girl (the only local woman among the staff), she bakes cakes in a restaurant on the street. All without baksheesh. A couple of times they left baksheesh in the room, but did not put the swans!!!
Food. You know, gentlemen, after a couple of days I started drinking Mezim because I overate. I have never eaten so much, I wanted to try everything. You make a vow to yourself not to take a lot, but you always come with a full plate. So the food is ok. Eat less, you'll be healthier. I saw the plates of those around me, as if I had kept them starving for years, and they broke off the chain, and then write reviews: “Bad food! Food - FU! "
Restaurants are large, bars on the beach and in the hotel, there are paid restaurants. Juices on the beach carry fresh, very tasty and not expensive.
