I really want to share my impressions of how my friend and I went to Egypt from May 12 to May 26.2007 at the Le Meridien Makadi Bay 5 * hotel from the travel company Gallery de Voyage. Everything was just great!! ! With the exception of the airport in Hurghada, this is something unbearable, but, fortunately, this did not overshadow our trip at all!
Upon arrival, we went through passport control for a very long time (at least an hour), then we couldn’t find our luggage (min. 30-50), we ran from one flight to another, but it turned out that “ours” had already taken all their luggage, and our lonely three bags were somewhere in the corner ...Fortunately, they found it))))
Then we went out into the street, there we were met by a guide, who said that we were very long-awaited guests: ))))) I thought it was him out of courtesy (so, in principle, it was), but it turned out that our bus had been waiting for us for 1.5 hours and nervous Russian aunts all this time expressed their dissatisfaction in every possible way ...

after 20-30 we arrived at the hotel, everyone at the reception was polite and nice, they heard a lot of compliments about how beautiful we are (this is after a 4-hour flight, panic about losing luggage and hassle on the bus) - it was nice ...They gave us a key, put on bracelets, took our bags and wished us a good rest.
The room was very good, the bed was not a 2-bed, but it felt like a 4-bed. Everything in the room worked properly, the room was cleaned every day, towels were also changed every day, and we left a tip only 2 times! Nothing of course was stolen!!
The room had: TV with channels in Russian, English, German, French, and naturally Arabic, air conditioning, which worked properly, telephone, hair dryer, mini bar, in which water and soda were changed every day (7-up, Pepsi , Fanta), safe. By the way, normal clean water flowed from the shower, it was not scary to brush our teeth, but, of course, we didn’t drink it !!
In the morning, when we woke up and went to breakfast, we thought that we were in paradise - the hotel area is very large and beautiful, I won’t say that there are a lot of trees, but their absence didn’t bother me - there are a lot of bushes with beautiful flowers, and these flowers at night they begin to smell - and it's so cool !! ! The pool is just huge, with bridges! : )
Before breakfast, we had a meeting with a guide, where he told us everything about the hotel, where food and drinks are free and where food and drinks are free (for a fee, though we only dined when we left, and then we just wanted to know what kind of restaurants that are paid ): )))
So, there were four free restaurants - on the street, on the beach and two in the building - the food was very good, the fish was especially tasty !! ! And sweets!! ! Lots of food, varied and delicious. From drinks - also a complete variety - juices, cocktails, wines ...There are no complaints about food,
The only thing is, I don't think they taste very good...
The service at the hotel was very pleased - as soon as we came to eat, the waiter immediately ran to us, asked what we would drink and literally a minute later the drinks were already on the table. I didn’t meet all the very friendly, obsessive and annoying Arabs there, maybe there were some who paid more attention to us than to other tourists, but they didn’t strain us, they didn’t grab our hands by the legs and didn’t pester ...!!
The audience was very different, most of course Russians, then Germans, British and neighboring countries come, the age category is also different, there were enough young people, there were many mothers and fathers with children and cute old men in couples : )) but no one was bored : ))
Animation team: the guys are very good - two Russian girls, one girl from Tunisia, and guys (local and not). We were entertained every day, starting at 10.30!!!
Here is the program:
10.30 - exercises, French balls, volleyball;
11.30 - water gymnastics and water polo;
12.00 - Latin dances;
sixteen.
00 - belly dance, volleyball, polo and all sorts of madness there : )
Then at 21.00 for children in the club - cartoons, and at 22.00 - all sorts of show programs, different every day, but after 1.5 weeks something can be repeated ....and at 23.00 - a disco. My friend and I won a beauty contest at the hotel and on the trail. day feel famous : ))))
The hotel has a gym with a swimming pool, we really didn’t get to it, but we often went to play ping-pong - the first hour is free, and then a penny, but this hour is enough !!!!
In general, everything was very good! It wasn’t hot, the sea was somewhere around 25-27 degrees, beautiful fish swam (only few, but you don’t need a lot of them), there were corals nearby, you could swim with a mask, but we went on an excursion with a mask to dive on about . Tobia - we loved it!!!
