On October 10, my husband and I arrived from this cool hotel. I definitely want to share my impressions, because there is something to share. I don't understand why this hotel is positioned as 4 *, many 5 * Egypt cannot boast of such a level. And so, in order.
1. ROAD.
We flew out at five in the morning from UIA. Everything went without delay. The Pegasus transfer is comfortable (6 people were traveling on the bus), after 4 hours it took us to the place and at 13.30 we already received the keys to room 266. Yes, the road is long, but in the end the rest was worth it.
2. SETTLEMENT.
As I already wrote, without delay we received the keys and we were taken to the room. The road to it seemed endless and, in the end, without even going into the room, I ran back to the reception with the idea of changing the number enjoy the sea, not the health path).
At the reception, I was assured that by 6 pm they would be able to move us to a room closer to the main life at the hotel, and now they offered to take a shower and change clothes in the room that was originally given. Which we calmed down and did. The room turned out to be magnificent and even with a view of the sea and the pool, but we still firmly decided to move. When we were given another room (121), close to the reception and the restaurant (I gave $ 20 in gratitude), it was already dark and the view from the window was not visible, and after dinner we fell asleep instantly, without even going out onto the terrace (a sleepless night affected and long road). For that morning, a surprise awaited us when we went out onto the terrace, it turned out that we were literally on the beach - 20 steps down and you can swim in the sea.
3. TERRITORY.
She is just great! Green, well-maintained, well-planned (most rooms with sea views), while huge.
You wonder how in the desert such greenery as there can be grown? Honor and praise to the workers who are busy in the garden from morning to evening. I must say that the territory is divided into two parts - Laguna Beach (numbers start at 2) and Palm Bay (numbers start at 1). Laguna is remote from the center, has its own pool with a bar, an amphitheater with Italian animation, a beach near the lagoon with a bar and also Italian animation, shops, a dive center, an Italian restaurant. In general, we jokingly called this part of the hotel “Italian ghetto”, which was also consistent with the population. In Palm: reception with lobby bar, main restaurant, own beach with bar, pontoon, swimming pool with bar, shops, holiday house, fish and Bedouin (open on Wednesdays) restaurants. I recommend visiting these restaurants.
4. NUMBER.
The rooms in this hotel cannot disappoint.
50 m2: a large bathroom (shared, with a shower, with real hot water), a large room with a huge bed, a large terrace (with a sunbed, a clothes dryer, a table and an armchair) and even a dressing room. Good fridge with freezer (you can freeze ice), TV with Russian channels. In general, everything you need for a comfortable stay. Only cleaning is lame, despite the tip, but not so much as to spoil the impression. Our first room had rattan furniture, the second one had stylized metal furniture.
5. SERVICE.
Excellent, as 95% of holidaymakers are foreigners (Italians, British, Germans, Swiss, French, Australians, Poles, Slovaks, etc. ). I was even pleased with the fact that in the bar on our beach, beer is poured into chilled glasses - a trifle, but nice. The receptionists are courteous and friendly and resolve all issues quickly. The service staff does not speak Russian, keep this in mind.
In fairness, it should be noted that as soon as the first direct flight from Moscow to Marsa Alam arrived on October 4 and there were noticeably more Russians, the service deteriorated a little, which was noticeable in the main restaurant.
6. BEACH.
There are ebb and flow. Therefore, we went to our beach only in the afternoon. On the house reef we saw barracudas, turtles and dolphins, not to mention everything else. But because of the wind, it was possible to swim there with pleasure only early in the morning. Abu Dabab is a separate story, a heavenly place. This is a combination of fabulous reefs with an excellent sandy beach, where it is quite possible to relax with children. Reefs: on the left and right sides, you need to explore both. Huge turtles live in the center on the sand, guitar players, they promised a dugong (sea cow), but we did not see it (local experts claimed that it had sailed away to breed, God forbid). Red Sea lovers should definitely visit Abu Dabab.
Our hotel has its own beach there, as well as a free shuttle (12 minutes, you need to sign up). Intensive swimming there from 8.00 to 12.00 was quite enough for us.
7. FOOD.
European, excellent quality, especially for Egypt. There are not many dishes, but they changed every day. There was something to eat for every taste. Meat, chicken, fish cooked differently each time, vegetables, fruits, delicious pastries, etc.
8. DRINKS.
Juices, of course, powder, bottled water in unlimited quantities. Bottled beer, good, bottled wine is decent, draft is worse, the rest of the drinks, as everywhere in Egypt, in general, take ultra inclusive with you.
As a result, a great holiday in a great hotel (I hope it will not deteriorate with the increase in Russian-speaking vacationers). My opinion is that this hotel is for sea lovers who want to combine this pleasure with privacy. Places like this can and should be returned to. Even more loved Egypt and the Red Sea.
