We needed 2 rooms next door and that was a problem. They said either take what you have, or wait until 14.00. With the help of the guest manager, we took one room, and the other came at 14.00.
All staff speak English, it is difficult to agree on something with them. We did not go to the meeting with the guide.
ROOMS. These are probably the worst numbers of all my 7 times in Egypt. Furniture is standard-old. TV is not plasma. And the biggest disappointment from the bathroom. Low bath, with fabric curtain. Fortunately we were lucky, otherwise we can not avoid injuries. At the same time, this guy (Mohamed Saber) was just passing by and seeing that the metal structure was falling on the child, he didn’t come up, didn’t help, didn’t apologize, probably the Koran does not allow it. Check-in: check-in was early, they settled in an hour and a half, hinting at an additional payment, claiming that the room was the best. Room: we have a superior category, and they gave it, overlooking the main pool and the edge of the sea. The room is spacious, the usual standard for the Egyptian number of rooms, no frills. Immediately I want to note the heat and stuffiness in the lobby, there are no air conditioners or they are not turned on, the windows are all wide open, 1 fan is working. The bracelets were put on after check-in, so we skipped the main breakfast, got to a late one. On the table were a plate of sausage, cucumbers, feta, rolls, everything! Therefore, do not sleep and get up for breakfast, otherwise you will be hungry. The main restaurant ALSO FANS, there are air conditioners, but they are not turned on for unknown reasons. You will also have to eat in the heat or stuffiness, and you imagine these July temperatures in Egypt. Meals: only the main restaurant and the restaurant on the beach are open from 15-00 to 16-00, where pancakes are baked every other day (undercooked for my taste), then a small pizza (just with cheese and ketchup) the food is the same, really the same every day, and this is not a figure of speech, the difference is only in the main dish for lunch and dinner, it can be turkey, beef or fish, everything else: side dishes (potatoes or rice), salads, soup are the same. Even desserts for dinner are the same. Yes, they are delicious and beautiful, but they are the same every night. At lunch, a woman in the main restaurant bakes several types of national cakes (with garlic, sesame seeds, etc. ), thank you and take it every day, very tasty.
Separately for drinks: the first 4 days in the bars and the main restaurant they poured Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Schweppes from original bottles, bottled beer, instant coffee from sticks, black tea bags, there is a coffee machine at one bar, but it is also refilled with instant Nescafe, we always ask for a cappuccino, at least you can drink it more or less. The wine is white / red, poured from bottles, BUT it is warm, a couple of times it was just hot, they asked for ice separately, but unfortunately, we spent the next half day in the room due to indigestion. Yesterday, on Saturday 18.07, when there was another numerous arrival of guests, bottled drinks Fanta, Cola, Sprite, Schweppes disappeared from the bars and the restaurant, vending machines with an incomprehensible substance and just a chemical smell were placed everywhere, which is hard not to hear through artificial flavors. After this, my stomach ached, and has not yet passed. It turns out that now I only drink water, tea in the morning, less often coffee, in the evening I can drink beer, but since I’m not a fan, I drink tea or coffee again, hot wine also doesn’t fit, I’m generally silent about local strong alcohol. How is it necessary not to respect and not love your guests in order to remove normal drinks in such heat and give them poison to drink?!
Territory: large, but not well-groomed, in many places the grass is dry and yellow, there are few flowers, almost no watering during the day, many locations (bars, lobby, which was once the main one, lounge areas with sofas) do not work, although people in enough hotel.
Beach: large, wide, spacious, sandy entry from the shore, the depth begins almost immediately, there are enough sunbeds and umbrellas for everyone. The hotel has a system of reserve a certain place on the beach for the duration of the holiday. Red flag - the place is occupied, green - free. We sunbathed for three days on the 2nd coast, so to speak, then a place was vacated near the sea, and we moved. But the system is still not working well, not everyone is ready to wait for several days until the desired place is vacated, there may be a “raider” seizure of the reserved place, and the beach workers will simply shrug their shoulders, saying that they can’t do anything, come to this place tomorrow.
Sea: very warm, beautiful with a truly extraordinary reef stretching for tens of kilometers, a paradise for divers and snorkelers, but this is not the merit of the hotel staff, nature and fate decreed so. There is no pier, the combination of entering the sea from the shore and a huge reef is the highlight of the sea in this hotel. Sea for 5!
Animation: a good international team of boys and girls, there are daytime activities, children's animation, and evening shows, very professional and interesting. As a person who does not suffer without animation, everything suits me.
