When choosing a hotel, the emphasis was on minimizing the wind, quiet rest and the maximum number of guests in the hotel from Europe and the civilized world and a minimum of "Zaporizhzhya".

Old Peles successfully fulfills all these requirements. It is in this part of Sahl Hashish Bay that the wind is minimal. The hotel itself is relatively old, and looks pretty good. Rooms - standard for Egyptian hotels - are large, with moderately worn furniture. The bathroom is normal. Only the curtain in the bathroom / shower spoiled the look. Repairs can already be updated, but a few more years will be ok (probably decided by the administration).

The staff is polite and respectful. Everyone we had to talk to tried to make the most of our vacation. The waiters are polite, the bartenders are good (especially if you do not complain about the dollar, somewhere about chocolate : )

Animation is unobtrusive, but it is enough.

If someone is planning to go with children - the children's club there is probably "so-so".
A small house and a playground in the sun. There is a traditional evening children's disco in front of the animation.

Staff speak Russian and are fluent in English and German.

The vast majority of guests are from Europe. There are few tourists from Ukraine.
"Zaporizhzhya" is even less (although they are, as always, the loudest and tactless, so noticeable, you can normally find a place away from it : )).
An interesting fact is that until December 30 there were almost no tourists from Russia and there were no queues in the main restaurant (even early at the omelets), it was clean and all dishes were available until the end of breakfast / lunch / evening.
As soon as the concentration of Russians increased on December 30, you immediately had queues and splashed food on the floor, and not everything can be found at the end of the dinner. But that's it - people are eaten for all the money)
As for food - it is at a good Egyptian level - there is always some meat in different kinds - something fried, something grilled.
Somewhere well-grilled, somewhere a little overcooked, but approx. There are fish and often two species. There are also dietary dishes. There is always something to eat in order to eat normally.

The beach is beautiful, umbrellas at a great distance from each other, there is enough space for everyone. In summer, everyone may not have enough, but in winter it was with a large margin. Entrance to the sea without sharp differences in depth. Sand and coral remains. We, like most people, did without corals.

It was this winter that the water in the sea was surprisingly warm, about 24 degrees. During the day the temperature is 25-30 degrees, after sunset 15-17.

And as always - who goes in the mood for a good rest - a good rest : )
