We opted for this hotel based on reviews including here. We arrived in the morning, we were at the hotel at about 9. We left the documents at the reception and went to have breakfast. We walked a little more around the territory, visited a bar on the beach and after 11 we were settled. Room 2302 turned out to be quite pleasant, everything suited us. The window overlooked the mountains and a piece of the sea. Also the amphitheater. Replenishment of the mini-bar with drinks for an additional fee, a strange moment, it's like 5 *.
The territory of the hotel is compact, well-groomed, you don't have to go far. The beach is of rather coarse sand, huge, but the place reserved for swimming is relatively small. Several types of fish swam right next to us. There is a diving center on the beach, we dived to see the hotel reef, it costs $ 25 per person. In general, it’s interesting, there wasn’t an abundance of fish, but I saw zebras, lionfish, and so different fish, the water seemed cloudy.
We took 2 excursions from the hotel guide. First buggy ride in the desert. Did not impress. I liked the same excursion in Hurghada much more. And the second excursion is a sea trip with diving + White Island. The name White Island is too loud, it is rather a small white sandy spit, to which you still have to swim from the ship on your own. So bring waterproof phone cases with you if you want a photo. We were not warned about such subtleties, so we were left without photos))). People on this spit are apparently invisible))) But the place is valid, we liked it.
The food at the hotel is generally good. Breakfast is typical and monotonous. Fruits: watermelons, unsweetened melons, plums and nectarines more or less. Seafood was every day, delicious, stewed squid, grilled and battered fish, there were even some mussels in shells, but there is nothing special there. The queues at the distribution were a bit annoying.
In general, the restaurant and reception look tired. The furniture is old-fashioned, the floors are scratched, everything is somehow dim and there is little light. Pieces of paint peeled off the walls were observed between the buildings. The hotel has an outstanding shape, I liked it, but again, unfortunately, the building lacks brightness and freshness. I looked at the hotel from the beach and thought how amazing it would be if it were white and the windows of the loggias were blue.
The hotel is located on the outskirts, there are no shops like a normal European supermarket in the pedestrian access zone, it is full of typical shops with souvenirs and the like.
Let me sum it up. We liked the rest, I will gladly come to Egypt again, but to another hotel.
