Delayed with a review, but “better late than never”). We stayed at Melia Sharm in July. They settled us on the first floor. At first they wanted to change to a room on the floor above, but then changed their minds. We had a cozy terrace, we could see the sea a little, and although the next building was partially visible, we were not embarrassed. There was greenery all around, it was quiet and calm. As for the situation inside, the furniture is somewhat “tired”, of course, and it was not cleaned perfectly, but these are trifles. I advise you to pay more attention to something else.
Firstly, to the combined rooms. They did not immediately pay attention to this, well, there is a closed passage door in the room and there is. Well, people moved in there already at the end of our vacation, since everything was heard - conversations, rustles, TV, etc. There is no soundproofing.
Secondly, you need to make sure that the door does not close completely when you go out onto the terrace. Then you can’t open it, and if you also left a card from the front door inside... )

As for the general impression, the plaster fell off and lay somewhere, somewhere near the room there were dirty dishes for several days, etc. But on the other hand, the part of the building with the reception is beautiful, and the territory of the hotel is large, fairly well-groomed, a lot of greenery, flowers . Liked having multiple pools. We preferred the ones closer to the hotel, they are quieter. But for lovers of animation and music, there is a large swimming pool with a bar, closer to the sea.
The animation is not burdensome, no one pulled us, which is what we wanted. In the evenings, different performances on the large terrace - dancing, jugglers, competitions. There were discos for those who wished - on the beach or with a trip, for example, to the desert. Afternoon volleyball on the beach, etc.
Shopping is best done in stores with fixed prices. The nearest supermarket was found 15-20 minutes from the hotel. And for souvenirs, it is best, for example, to go to Soho Square. And there is a lot of choice, and prices are less, and there is where to walk, what to see. But it is better to go to the square in the late afternoon, in the morning / afternoon there is almost nothing working there.
There are no special complaints about the restaurant in Melia Sharm. We were satisfied with the food. Especially the desserts, very tasty. We dined mainly on the summer terrace, but during the day it is a little hot there, but the view is beautiful. In the bar on the ground floor, they made very tasty cocktails)
Befriended the staff. Basically everyone is nice and friendly.
I had to ask for help in the first-aid post (under insurance). We filled out the documents and we were given the necessary medicines without any problems.
There were usually not many people on the beach, there were enough sunbeds for everyone. The tides of the sea did not strain at all.
And about the main thing) The most beautiful bay of Ras Nasrani, the diversity of the water world of the Red Sea, the view of the island of Tiran, all this is of stunning beauty, and completely covers all the above disadvantages of resting in Melia Sharm.
