We came to Egypt not for the first time, before that we rested in Concord El Salam, Iberotel Fanara in Sharm El Sheikh and Sunrise Crystal in Hurghada. Obviously, we treat Sharma better. Meilia Sharm was highly recommended to us by a travel agent as a great hotel for families with children. It turned out to be true, there were a lot of families with kids in the hotel.
I'll tell you in order. We arrived at about one in the afternoon, ordered an individual transfer, 40 minutes after arrival we were already at the hotel. We were seated very quickly. Our room had a view of the main pool and a side sea view. This view was booked from Moscow.
The main guests of the hotel: Italians, British, Poles, Ukrainians and Russians. The territory is large, beautiful, palm trees, low flowering trees, neat shrubs against the backdrop of white buildings. Architecturally, the hotel looks very advantageous. The lobby building overlooks the sea, where Tiran Island rises lonely above the water. Wherever you go, the boundless sea, green gardens and the lunar mountains of Sinai will please your eye everywhere.

The hotel rooms are new, plasma TVs with USB input, after reading the reviews, they took cartoons for their daughter with them. The furniture is new, they put a large extra bed in our room, not a folding bed. Folding beds are standard, but we booked a deluxe. Everything works well in the shower, the water is warm enough. The cleaning of the rooms is very thorough, imperceptible. Swans were not made from blankets, but we were not interested in them. Leave a tip every 2 days.
The food at the hotel is good, not the best cuisine, not the most comfortable restaurant, but everything was fresh, there was a basic set of dishes, that is, chicken, meat, fish, vegetables, sweets. The waiters are very smart, helpful, they remember what each client likes to drink. And so not only in restaurants, but also in all bars. Polite, casual, courteous. The service is beyond praise.
Animation is sports, there are aerobics, gymnastics, team sports. The animator in the kids club is just lovely, they calmly left their daughter in the club, they couldn’t pull it back. In the evening, traditional shows, but there is something to see.
The sea is a special conversation. It is wonderful. Children frolic in shallow water, and we took turns diving from the pontoon. The water was cool (and what we wanted, it was winter outside), but this did not stop us from seeing several moray eels, a stingray, three manta rays in a flock, and of course, shoals of colorful fish. The hotel has a heated pool, which was stuck around by the Europeans, the sea was too cold for them.
The surroundings of the hotel are not encouraging. You can walk along the embankment to Melia Sinai, but there is nothing to see there either. For a change, we booked an excursion to Israel, took a tour for 2 days and did not regret it, we had a great rest in the hotel on the second day of the tour. Those who go for 1 day get tired more. It is tiring to drive a clean 6 hours to Jerusalem, and even to stand at the border is not clear how long. They were satisfied with the service.
In the evening we went to Soho (15 pounds in a taxi), the child really liked it, my daughter even went skating with me.
In general, we are satisfied with the hotel, but we do not like to rest in the same place twice, so we will go to another hotel. For families with kids - one of the best hotels in Sharm.
