We went at the end of September 2018, a tour from JoinUp for $ 740 for two.
At the time of purchase it was one of the cheapest 5* hotels

The hotel is located near the airport. We arrived at the hotel around 8.30, immediately put on bracelets and took cards for towels. Checked in at 12:30 pm in a room on the second floor with a sea view. When you check in, there were no extra charges. On the day of departure, the bracelets were not cut off, making it possible to use all the services after the room was returned.

The room is not bad, the view is excellent, the plumbing is somewhat shabby, but not critical. Refrigerator, TV and safe working. The room has two single beds that can be moved together, sleeping comfortably. There are no strange smells or noise in the room, the air conditioner works well.

The hotel was about 2/3 full. Of the guests, approximately equally divided are Slavs (mostly Ukrainians), Arabs and Western Europeans (mostly Italians). In general, no one interfered with anyone, it was comfortable.
The hotel staff is generally pleasant, they understand Russian and English, they do not require a tip. Three times they left a dollar or a chocolate bar for the cleaner, cleaned normally, twisted figures from towels.

The food suited us, very tasty, no one was poisoned. Dishes are simple and clear. Somewhat monotonous, but not tired for a week. For lunch and dinner every time there was a choice of beef, fish or chicken, a large number of side dishes, a sufficient selection of vegetables (raw and cooked), for desserts there were mainly a variety of biscuit cakes and oriental sweets. Of the fruits, only dates, melon and a bag of cut fruit filled with juice. Sausages and frankfurters are not tasty, apparently made of paper, cheeses are also not very good. A large selection of delicious pasta prepared by an Italian chef right on the spot. From seafood 3 times there were squids, 1 time pasta with a mixture of seafood. In the evening, something was cooked on the grill, not very tasty.
From drinks packaged juices, Pepsi, 7up, miranda. Local alcohol is of dubious quality, but you can drink it in cocktails, light bottled beer tastes like inexpensive Ukrainian.

In addition to the main restaurant, the hotel has a grill restaurant and something Italian there. Upon check-in, they give a coupon for one visit to the grill. The grill looks wretched and they cook there the same as in the main dining room, in general it is not clear why this "grill restaurant" is needed.

The territory of the hotel and the reef near it are the main advantages of the hotel.
The hotel is built on a hilly area in several tiers. Due to this, the area seems larger and more comfortable. Lots of flowers and vegetation, several pools. Overall nice and clean. There was enough space by the pools, no one fought for sunbeds and umbrellas. Animation works on the main pool, loud music, on the rest it is quiet and calm. Like the rest of the hotel, the pools are not new, tiles are falling off in places.

The entrance to the sea is sandy, cleared, a pontoon leads to the reef. The pontoon is about 50 m, opened at 9:00, closed at sunset. The hotel reef is lively, lots of fish and corals. We went on a yacht towards Ras Mohammed, the reef in those places is no better than near the hotel. Quite a strong current, it is better to swim with fins.

Hotel guide from JoinUp -- Mohamed. A rather unpleasant type who soars his excursions more expensive than anywhere else and criticizes the rest of the local excursion companies. In general, he is engaged in a typical Egyptian divorce of inexperienced tourists. We bought an excursion to Soho from him for $ 9, the price was supposed to include bowling and a skating rink, but in reality it turned out that only water, a poor hookah and ice cream (even worse) were included.

Near the entrance to the hotel there are shops with souvenirs and products and a tour desk Vova Boroda.

In general, we were satisfied with our stay at the hotel, after reading extremely negative reviews we got more than expected from the hotel.
The hotel corresponds to the description and the asking price, although already in a somewhat worn condition. Minor flaws are completely covered by the beautiful territory and the sea.
