Vacationing with two families. The hotel has been known since the days when it was Melia Sharm. We rested in FUN & SUN, but in fact they did not understand what was the difference with the usual Albatross, except for the bracelets. Wi-Fi was available to all guests. Everyone enjoyed the restaurant Sunny, the water park and part of the FUN&SUN beach. Perhaps in the future there will be some kind of separation, but in early October there was not. Perhaps due to the fact that they started working on this concept only from October 1st.
Transfer from the airport to the hotel was booked at the hotel. Convenient - fast, no need to wait for everyone to get on the bus. We arrived at 8 am. We were at the hotel at 9. Sent for breakfast, gave rooms. I didn't like the rooms because they were on the first floor. They asked for the second one. We had to wait a bit for the cleaning to be completed. The rooms are not small. Liked the modern shower. Cleaning - as always in Egypt.
The hotel area is large and beautiful. Not very green, but planted a lot of plants.
By spring I think it will also be super green. Lots of beautiful places to take photos. Lots of pools. The beach is huge. Loved the new sun loungers. The hotel was said to be 50% occupied. But I think that even with 100% occupancy, there will be enough places near the pools and on the beach for everyone without any problems. Now part of the hotel is being completed and there was construction noise. But he didn't interfere much.
There are various shops on the territory. But, unfortunately, there was no pharmacy. Actually, she didn't work. We went to the nearby Coral Beach Montazah hotel. There is not a bad pharmacy with low prices. We must get out of the Albatross and go 200-300 meters to the right.
It was nice to meet my acquaintances at the hotel - employees with whom we became friends in previous years in other hotels.
In the morning and in the afternoon there are two restaurants - SUNNY and Soprano. We liked the food in Sunny better. Although it was similar in assortment, it was somehow tastier in Sunny. The choice is less than before Covid, but everything is fresh and tasty.
The fish restaurant is still open in the evening. But we did not see anything special in it. Fish, shrimp - all this is in the main restaurants. There is also an a la carte restaurant, but we did not go to it. During the day you can eat on the beach at the food court. There are very tasty french fries : )
The beach is very big. Because of this, the second pontoon is missing. And missing another bar on the beach. Although the waiters walk along the beach offering drinks, it would be more convenient and faster to take a drink yourself. There are still few showers on the beach and there is no way to wash the sand off your feet. The coral reef is beautiful. There are many different fish.
The hotel has two animation teams. Both teams are good. They work in different locations. Evening shows are shared. But we liked FUN&SUN animation more. They have green t-shirts. Somehow they got to know each other better and became friends.
The water park has a zone for children and for very young children and for adults seven slides.
For a change it is quite normal.
In terms of maintenance and service, Albatross is similar to me in terms of Sultan Gardens a couple of years ago. Maybe a little worse, but not much.
By the way, for the first time I did not buy a local SIM card. Wifi was throughout. It's not always super fast, sometimes it lags, but it's quite possible to use it.
