I have been in Egypt for the fourth time. The hotel is good, but there are both advantages and disadvantages. First about the good. Huge beautiful hall with a huge glass wall overlooking the sea. Here it was pleasant to drink coffee in the early morning before breakfast, admiring the surface of the Red Sea, and in the evening, relax with cocktails to live music. I was also pleased that the Lobby bar really worked around the clock - checked). The staff is really very discreet and friendly. Settled immediately, did not strain. There is no Arab obsession and sycophancy here, even in shops, which is pleasantly pleasing. The territory as a whole is large and beautiful - pools, plants, landscape - everything is thought out and kept clean and tidy. A huge sandy beach allows you to choose a place for every taste (next to a bar or a pontoon, by the sea or under a wall) and make sunbeds as you like (although there were very few vacationers, less than a fourth). The pontoon is really long, but I do not consider this a disadvantage. The coral reef is beautiful, especially in the morning when it is brightly illuminated by the morning rays of the sun. You can swim directly from the shore, in many hotels the coral reef immediately begins and you can swim only from the pontoon. So for families with children, this is a huge plus. We were also pleased with juices from packages, beer from cans, various cocktails, as well as coffee and cappuccino from coffee machines. Ice cream from 16 to 17 was clearly on time with an accuracy of 1 minute. Tastes like regular ice cream. Despite the meager number of people, ice cream and chocolate quickly ended, there was enough fruit, but they didn’t eat it much except for children.
Now for the disadvantages.
1. The main drawback for us was the animation. She was the worst. Animators (probably 5 people) are not that entertained - they purposefully hid from vacationers. There was something like water aerobics - where the animators argued with each other, splashed and sometimes remembered about the vacationers - standing in the pool and waiting for how it would all end. There was no special music at the so-called dance lessons - they danced to the general background on the pool and it was impossible to call it a dance - boring and not interesting. In general, the animators did everything possible so that the vacationers did not disturb them. We looked with envy at the neighboring hotel next to the Baron - where incendiary music played from morning to evening - dances were replaced by exciting games. Everyone had fun and played with them - from children to pensioners. We went several times for aqua aerobics at Melia Sinai and for an evening program there.

2. The food was very monotonous, sweets for Egypt are very mediocre, there were never any cakes. Fruits and vegetables were varied according to the season. Meat (except chicken) was not chewed at all. The fish was in one form, but quite tasty. Very slow service, often forgetting orders. At the same time, they were very offended when someone himself approached the bar for juice or wine. But none of us had stomach problems.
3. The opportunity to visit a la carte restaurants one time for free - as in other 5 * hotels was not.
4. Transvera Naamu, or at least in Soho, too, was not, which in my opinion is generally a shame for a 5 * hotel. Rather, he was but for the money. And it cost many times more than a taxi. (So feel free to take a taxi even if you are in Egypt for the first time. The road is nearby and there are many taxi drivers)
5. There are not as many fish there as we would like. Compared to the coral reef, the Continental Bad Reef - here there were many times fewer fish, not only in quantity, but also in diversity. For those who are traveling for the first time, this is quite enough. Compared to the previous three hotels where I was, the reef next to Melia Sharm is the most sparsely populated. For a week I did not see any lionfish or stingrays or moray eels or clown fish. There are practically no sea urchins here.
6. For the weekend, numerous Arab families come with wrapped up women and all the attention is mainly to them.
Conclusion: The hotel is soulful, clean and beautiful, but very quiet, even boring and is very far from Naama and the old market.
