We stayed at this hotel from October 15th to 24th, 2025. Building 42, Aquamarine Pool, room 42105.

Check-in was quick – we were at reception at 11:00 AM, and by 12:05 PM, a minibus had brought us to our room. At reception, we downloaded information about the hotel and its events onto our smartphone.

Room
A bit tired. The closet has plenty of hangers, but the rather scratched desk has only one drawer for small items. An LCD TV sits on the desk, obscuring the lower part of the fairly large mirror behind it. The TV has three Moscow channels and one Kyiv channel. We couldn't find any English-language channels.

The beds are large and soft. The linens are clean and free of holes. There's only one chair in the room.

The bathroom has a bidet and shower, but the faucets are old and don't close properly. There's a clothesline in the shower stall for drying swimming trunks, but they don't dry there overnight. Bring a clothesline and clothespins. The clothesline can be stretched from the balcony railing to the back of one of the balcony chairs (it's heavy and difficult to move).
The air conditioner remote control hangs on wires 1.9 meters from the room floor—I've never seen anything like it.
Neither the front door nor the balcony door can be locked from the inside of the room. Typically, such rooms are found in 3-star hotels, but certainly not in 5-star ones.
Funnily enough, one employee brings water (three 0.6-liter bottles daily) to the room, and another cleans the room. I've never seen this in any other hotel.
A plus of this room is that the power doesn't cut off unless the room card is in the holder.
Another plus is that Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
The hotel is huge. It's an 8-10-minute walk from room 42105 to the beach, and 6-7 minutes to the Coral restaurant.
Lots of greenery and beautiful palm trees. A few people swim and sunbathe in King Lake, but we weren't allowed in. In the northern part of the hotel, near Sultan Beach, there's a cascade of several pools with running water, but they're small and not suitable for swimming.
Near Sultan Beach, there are two pontoons and a dock for boats. They go on boat excursions every morning. It's clear that they spill fuel, oil, and waste into the sea. Therefore, the coral there is uninteresting and almost devoid of fish.
A separate drawback of the hotel is the very low quality of the All-Inclusive bracelets. They are made of poor quality fabric and fall off after 3-4 days. I had to replace my bracelet twice.
The hotel's main pool is a separate issue. It doesn't have a water circulation system for filtering. Furthermore, its edges are washed with water in the morning, which is then brushed back into the pool along with dirt. I saw Italians playing ball—one on the shore, the other in the pool. The wet ball would often fall onto the dirty ground and then be thrown into the pool. The two pool lifeguards didn't react at all. It's clear that swimming in such a pool is simply dangerous.

Food

The location of the bars on the property is very inconvenient; there's only one all-inclusive bar on the beach—very little. The all-inclusive bar, open late, is located on the roof of the Coral restaurant, reached via a rather long and awkward staircase. It's windy up there, and you can't sit there for long.

I really liked the Coral restaurant. The aisles between the tables are wide. There are tables for 2.4, and 6 people. The restaurant has two bars, which is very convenient. Reviews mentioned that they don't let you fill your water bottles, but we didn't experience anything like that. Everyone who wanted water filled their bottles. There are practically no lines at the restaurant; at most, 5-6 people for scrambled eggs in the morning.
Fruit options include melon, dates, apples, bananas, persimmons, pomegranates, oranges, and guava. There are plenty of dairy products and a variety of pickles and salads. There are also many Italian dishes, all quite delicious. Lunch and dinner include both meat and fish dishes. Delicious pastries and a variety of side dishes are available.

For dinner, two grills are open in front of the restaurant. Among other dishes, we had grilled quail and squid.

The strong alcohol is simply terrible. On the first day, it had a strong fumes taste. A few days later, I tried it again – the fumes had disappeared, but the alcohol had dropped to 20-25 degrees – terrible swill. The Coral restaurant only serves beer (which is decent) and red and white wine (which are quite good).
Beach and sea
There are plenty of sun loungers on the beach, but on either side of the main pontoon are the D-club and Luxary Club areas, each with 2-5 guests, but we weren't allowed in. The situation is similar on the hotel's main beach. You feel like a second-class citizen, or like a black person in apartheid-era South Africa. It's quite humiliating.
There are plenty of sun loungers on the beach when the hotel is at approximately 60-70% occupancy, as we experienced.
The main pontoon has two saltwater pools separated from the sea by a net. The water in them is much warmer than the sea, meaning there's no proper circulation.

A motorboat constantly cruises along the swimming area fence, keeping away dangerous fish, but it also keeps away larger ones. There are very few fish in the sea around the main pontoon. Not even the ubiquitous surgeonfish.

I swam most of the hotel beach and in nine days saw only a moray eel, a small lionfish, a small stingray, and 7-8 species of small fish. That's all. The coral is gray and uninteresting. It's more or less interesting (a stretch) if you swim from the main beach pontoon toward the Sheraton Hotel, i. e. , south, although the coral here is certainly not great.

Swimming is permitted from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, which was quite annoying.
The beach is very windy – towels are constantly blown off sun loungers. We didn't swim on the morning of October 20th and 25th because of the wind. Due to the strong northerly wind, sunbathing on the hotel beach will be problematic from November to April.
On the main beach, a passage has been cut through the coral. It's about 7.5 meters wide, but only the initial part is sandy. Then there's coral mixed with sand. Then, as you exit the coral table into the deeper water, dead, sharp corals protrude, requiring careful swimming. This passage is only accessible in coral reefs.

The beach is infested with small, annoying flies. Flies were everywhere, even in the dining area.

Entertainment
It's mainly on the main beach. There's a daily evening show, sometimes very professional. Among the evening shows, I liked the Michael Jackson and Aladdin shows. The rest are so-so.

Tourists
About 50% Italian, about 40% Russian-speaking, with Czechs and Poles. The Italians are a nightmare for both the beach and the restaurant. They gather in groups of 4-8 and yell so loudly that you have to move to other sun loungers. Their children are rude in the restaurant.
Pros:
1. Huge and comfortable Coral restaurant.
2. Several interesting evening shows.
3. Russian-speaking and very friendly reception.
Cons:

1. Cats – there are several hundred of them, and we also saw about 15 kittens. They're everywhere – in restaurants, on the beach, on the hotel walkways, and even in the elevator. They sleep on restaurant tables and deck chairs, jump onto first-floor balconies, and sleep there on your drying clothes. The cats are wild – you can't pet them because they swat you back with their paws. They carry not only worms but also other unpleasant diseases. The hotel feeds them dry food, which is included in the price of your tour.

2. Flies on the beach and mosquitoes in the room.
The hotel doesn't do any pest control for fear of poisoning the cats. Very bad.

3. Uninteresting, poor coral.

4. Strong winds on the beach.

5. Few fish.

6. The all-inclusive bracelet breaks every 3-4 days.

7. The main hotel pool is dangerous.
8. The main pontoon is in disrepair. Walking on it is extremely unpleasant. Instead of repairing it, they posted a sign that read, "Pontoon is movable. Proceed with caution. "

Do you want to stay at this hotel? Of course, if a 7-night package tour for two costs no more than $1.100, then you can go. Otherwise, no. The hotel isn't worth more.
