We chose the hotel by accident. Flying with a friend. For a long time we wanted to choose a “city hotel” in Egypt, so that there was somewhere to take a walk in the evening, and not sit in a hotel in Sydney. Before that, we were in the Montaza area, I didn’t like that it was only possible to leave the hotel into the desert.
We liked everything about the hotel in general. Although there were nuances. The main nuance is the rooms without balconies. These are standard rooms, but there are also superior rooms without balconies. Rooms are in good condition but old. We lived for 3 days in a standard room, then paid an extra $10 per day and were moved to a superior room with a balcony. We are ladies smoking, so there was no way without a balcony. At the same time, we had to wait 3 days for a superior with a balcony to be released. At this time there was a holiday and many Arab tourists came to the hotel. And the standards are not in the main building, but far away and walking to the restaurant, bar, pool and reception is far away.
The pool was very hot and we were there only once. The rest of the time was on the beaches. About them is a separate story. The choice of beaches is cool, but be prepared to pay extra for it. Buses run to the beach every hour.

The main free beach of Eden, where we went for the first time. The beach is very party, there are local, but advanced. You can smoke hookah for money. There is a bar with free soft drinks. Food only for money. There is a 15% discount. We ate once, on the first day, we liked it, but still tried to dine at the hotel, because we still paid for the all-inclusive system. We didn't really like Eden, as the sea was shallow, dirty, there was parking for yachts, glass-bottomed boats and "submarines" nearby.
Phanar beach was my favorite. It's just an amazing coral reef. Entrance, like other paid beaches from the hotel, is $ 3 at the reception. But get ready to pay for alcohol or stay sober until lunch. The same situation is on other paid beaches. They give only water and one non-alcoholic drink on Palm Beach. It was simply unbearable without coffee, so we bought it in bars on the beaches. Palm Beach, by the way, for some reason did not like. But the Reef Beach is excellent, entering the sea along the penton, and although the coral is not as lively as on Phanar, it is very interesting to swim, although in some places there was a current.
The hotel staff is pleasant, although some of the bartenders should be sent for training. They are rude and don't want to work. The guys at the reception are normal, they try to help. The restaurants are clean. I didn't like the Italian on the roof, the food is worse than in the main. And they're in a hurry. Obsessively offer to dine at the fish for money. The choice of food is not for gourmets, everything is standard, modest, you can eat.
The hotel is located on Il Mercato Street, it has cafes, clothing stores, opposite oriental shops with souvenirs and fruits. A little further complex 1001 nights. Taxi to Old Town $2. There you can also take a walk, buy fruits and small souvenirs. My friend and I finally visited Israel this year. We were lucky that we missed it, there were many tourists from our group who did not cross the border. We were lucky, as there were several old Schengen in our passports.
I would also like to mention a Syrian shop with nuts and sweets on the other side of the hotel along Il Mercato street. They prepare delicious Turkish coffee, delicious marshmallows and nuts. A lot of locals also sit there, which was a kind of quality mark for us.
The hotel turned out to be decent, but be prepared to stay sober or constantly pay extra for everything.
