The three of us rested with the grandson of IberOtel Palace from 06 to 13 January 2019, tour operator TUI. The flight is normal, Rose of the Winds. At the airport, everything is as always. In a word, "Mess". In the end, they lost their luggage, no one needs anything, no one is in a hurry. But TUI just left. Somewhere in an hour things were found. True, after another half an hour, the representative of the tour operator sent us by taxi to the hotel (partially for our money). Transfer was a success!?!
The hotel was sold out, settled somewhere by 14-00, though they immediately "ringed" and we had the opportunity to have breakfast, lunch, sit in the lobby bar with drinks. We stayed at the hotel for the second time, but the experience was much worse. The rooms are shabby, poorly cleaned, the bed for the child was installed only in the evening, the safe was opened only in the evening and then only after repeated calls to the reception. The dollar does not work on the staff, they take it - and there is no reaction. The food in the restaurant is quite decent. Everything suited us, but the waiters are terrible. Dirt on the tables, the dirty tablecloth is not changed, but covered with another, drinks can be brought by the end of lunch or dinner. I was very surprised at the "buffet" table by the table reservation system, it seems that there is a place and at the same time there is nowhere to sit. There were a lot of kids, but it didn't bother us. Most of the tourists are Russian speakers (Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia). There were enough places on the beach, but it was dirty, the sunbeds, the tables were crap with birds, they are washed and wiped very reluctantly, the sand is cleaned symbolically, you can dig out anything. One joy - the sun, the sea, the air - no one will take it away. There was one heated pool (the water is warm, comfortable), but we preferred the sea, the child was delighted. No animation. There is a kids club - but very modest. Evening disco for children. Not bad, but short, up to an hour. Flew in the evening, wanted to extend the room until 16-00, refused. A very large influx of tourists. At the same time, they fed in the restaurant, served in the bar until departure. And finally, transfer to the airport, 2 hours riding around Sharm. It would be better to sit in a bar and take a taxi. The airport is overcrowded, it took almost 2 hours for everything. With such a passenger flow and security, it is probably time to build a new terminal.
In general, we had a good rest. But the administration has something to think about. With such a staff and such an organization, the hotel is in for hard times. We won't go to this hotel next time.
