By 9-05 all the tourists who arrived the day before gathered, but the guide Saber was still 10 minutes away. I was talking enthusiastically with a colleague about something. In the end, we turned around and went to the beach. You don't value our time, why should we value yours?
What idiot scheduled the information meeting at the most inconvenient time for tourists? That it is impossible to hold it at 12-00 before lunch, when it is already hot on the beach?
Then other tourists told us that, as usual, the guide Saber spent more than 1 hour “sucking in” excursions for them, and only spoke about the hotel in passing. We then noted the voucher at the Anex tour counter.
Beach
Biggest disappointment of the hotel.
Approximately from the middle of the neighboring Concorde Hotel (in the north) to the end of the beach of the Savoy Hotel (in the south), the reef is half-dead. Moreover, the hotel's coral table is full of holes and bumps, and it is dangerous to walk on it, which children love to do so much. Very few fish. Only at the far ends of Sharks Bay (100 meters from the beaches of the Siva and Savoy hotels) do at least some flocks of small fish appear. From large, for 8 days. , I saw only a grouper about 1 m long.
You need to go down to the beach by a staircase with 88 steps, you can also go along a rather steep road going to the left of the stairs near number 344, i. e. there are no problems to go down to the beach with a stroller. There were always enough plastic sunbeds with a net, but a lot of them were torn and they are all very old - still from the Sunrise Hotel, that is, they are at least 7-8 years old.
There is no promised place for bathing children near the shore. And at high tide, the water goes more than 7 m.
By the way, this year at the beginning of October it was cool in Sharm - water maximum 26.5 degrees, air - 31 degrees. In 2015 and 2016

The first few days there were quite a lot of Arabs, then they left about 25% of all tourists. There are many tourists from Ukraine, there are Belarusians and Kazakhs. In general, the hotel was 25-40% full. Arabs behave badly: they put a child 1.5 years old backwards on the table, although there is a high chair nearby; they take the pasta with their hands, and then they dump the excess with their hands back into the container with food. We managed to eat separately from them only 2 times at dinner in a la carte restaurants: Italian and fish. They both liked it very much.
Hotel
An important nuance is that some of the hotel rooms (401-484 - this is the entire southern part of the hotel) are in the process of being renovated. Therefore, from a number of numbers of the sea view category (for example, 327 and 329) a view ...of the shields enclosing the construction site. The sea view rooms have been renovated, but the furniture in them is “tired”. Even numbers on the 2nd floor, odd numbers on the first floor.
From rooms 301-317 - limited (by bushes or opposite building) or side sea view. The best sea view is from rooms 346 and 344.
There are two water slides (open 10-12 and 14-16). It’s more interesting to ride on the blue one, but if you accelerate, you can hit your feet painfully on the fence located too close in the main pool.

It consists of 3 zones: a bedroom, a living room (with a soft sofa and an armchair + TV) and a bathroom. The bathroom is quite large and everything worked, but there were no grates in the drain holes of the tub and the sink. There was no soap yet. A major drawback is the presence of two balconies in the room. The second, French, goes to the stairs of the next room. The cleaner forgot to close his door, and around 19-40 a hungry three-colored cat came to our room. I had to feed them with the leftovers of the chop taken from Kyiv (they don’t serve food on planes anymore).
We were regularly gnawed by mosquitoes, despite the brought fumigator. We asked Nina the guesthouse to do the processing of the number. It stank for over 4 hours. One night the mosquitoes did not gnaw, then they began to gnaw again. The problem is that there is a gap under the front door.

Breakfast and lunch were at the main restaurant (this is near the reception and we had to go there about 6 minutes - far), dinner at the Fatima restaurant above the beach (there was a grill).
The food is a little short of Turkish 3+ (for example, Carbel hotel), but there are always 3-5 side dishes, fresh and stewed vegetables. At the same time, fish (it was in a day, and one evening there were even crabs in Fatime) you can take it yourself is not limited, but meat dishes (meatballs, chicken, fried meat and liver) and even shawarma, cooks give out in 2 different places . I was surprised that at breakfast cottage cheese (with sprinkling with various spices) and sliced ​ ​ u200bu200bsausage and hard cheese are given out by the cook. Cottage cheese is given out in pieces measuring 2x2x1 cm.

At the airport they were forced to take off their shoes (take either shoe covers or spare socks - the floor is very dirty) and then they carefully felt them. They took away not only 0.6 l of water, but also 100 g of juice given out in a lunch bag. packaging. They even took away a roll with the remnants of a packing film for a suitcase - this is already something new. Another tourist was confiscated round nickel-metal hydride AA batteries by pulling them straight out of the camera (and no one forbids transporting such batteries - this is not Li-ion). And of course, everyone himself found his suitcase in a pile of others, and carried it to the transporter on the plane.
