“Great stay at an affordable price”? From the first minutes of our stay at the hotel, we began to like a lot. Ambience, comfort, friendliness of the staff. One of the few disadvantages, which we learned about at the beginning of our holiday, is poor internet, which is slow and intermittent. But this problem is not only in the hotel, but in general in Egypt. On the other hand, this can be considered as a plus, since you will have more incentive to enjoy the surrounding nature, take a walk, and not “stick” to the screen of your gadget. And then everything was as it should be. We were taken to a lovely room overlooking the pool. The friendly hotel clerk brought us our luggage. By the way, friendliness is the "calling card" of the Egyptians. The sullen and unfriendly staff is the exception, and makes up a maximum of 5%, and 95% are nice people who work hard and with a smile on their face. The restaurant "La Gondola", which belongs to the hotel, is a cozy place where there is a fairly large assortment of all kinds of dishes. Always delicious and fresh food. Every day we ate fresh vegetables along with delicious feta cheese, and of course delicious meat prepared by the restaurant's chefs. We had the opportunity to enjoy the taste of "kebab", eat a well-cooked shish kebab. Perhaps for those who will go with a great desire to taste a plentiful amount of seafood, their rare appearance and small assortment will be a disappointment. Once for the whole week there were squid and octopus, but mostly fried, quite tasty local fish. There was entertainment from the animators, both on the beach and beyond. The sea, of course, is shallow and filled with reefs, so we swam more in the heated pool. In general, we are satisfied and recommend the Le Royale Sonesta hotel, both for honeymooners and families with children.
