Good day to all! We rested in Melton Beach from December 17 to 25. We bought a tour for a month for $ 530 for two for 8 nights with a departure from Boryspil. But two days before departure, for the same money, you could buy from Joynap for two nights. I chose this hotel solely because of the first line and Raz Nazran Bay, because according to reviews there is very good coral. We flew with Turkish Airlines (for those who don’t know yet, they don’t provide food on planes now, they only offer coffee, tea, water. We were at the hotel at 8 pm.
HOTEL. Not new, small, compact. Almost all rooms have a sea view, which is very close. Attraction - a lighthouse and a promenade near the hotel. The lighthouse can be accessed through the restaurant or on the left side of the stairs at the entrance to the lobby. Nice panoramic view of the hotels and beyond. Pools not heated. There were many vacationers, mostly Ukrainians. There is free Wi-Fi, it catches near the reception, but people complained that they often change the password and it doesn’t load well.
We bought a Vodafone SIM card for 3 gigabytes for $5 at the airport, we didn't even use half of it.
SETTLEMENT, They immediately asked if we were aware that we had paid for a standard room and if we were counting on something more. I replied that any building would suit me, the second floor overlooking the sea. First, they offered number 519, but the latch in the door to the balcony did not work, then 524. This is probably the farthest building from the restaurant, but we left the room early in the morning, returning at five o'clock. Standard room - on the second floor, second line from the sea, it has shower gel, shampoo, soap, sanitary napkins, towels, hair dryer, acrylic deep bathtub, new curtain. Water pressure is good, hot water is always available. Missing - swimming cap, glasses. Idea Standard plumbing, TV (2 Russian and 1 Ukrainian channels), refrigerator, small safe, all mattresses in the hotel are hard but comfortable.
Upon arrival in the minibar, one and a half liter bottle of drinking water was added daily. Large balcony, pool under it (but cold). Cold tiles on the floor, few outlets, not enough lighting. In no case do not open the doors wide open in the evening, mosquitoes will fly in, very small and almost unresponsive to our lamellar fumigators. By the way, I noticed that in this hotel you don’t hear birds in the mornings, in the evenings cicadas don’t chirp. And no cats or dogs. At all!
The hotel consists of six two-story buildings on different lines from the sea (the smaller the number, the farther from the sea). Numbering of numbers: the first digit is the building line number, the second digit is the floor number, the third and fourth digits are the room number. There are rooms without balconies. The most unfortunate accommodation is in the Villa Tripoli and Villa Bengazi buildings, because some rooms have access to the square where all tourist buses stop.
Rooms 5101 to 5115 overlook the amphitheater, where music blares all day.
NUTRITION. Not exquisite, but quite edible, everything is standard. Breakfasts. Disappointed by the lack of fruit. Buns, pies, pancakes, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, vegetable slices, mashed potatoes, cereals, muesli, cheeses, sausages, two types of yogurt, curd paste, jams, honey. Tea bags, coffee from a cooler (did not try). Pour into disposable paper cups or find small glass ones, but there are not many of them.
Dinners. Two types of meat, three side dishes, a lot of salads (I haven’t tried it), two types of fruit, biscuit cakes, a lot of all kinds of vegetables and herbs, three types of sauce, vegetable oil for pouring, soup.
Dinner. It looks like lunch, but they already gave three types of fruit (melon, banana, tangerines, oranges, gauava, pomegranate, dates were noticed), three types of meat - fish, chicken, meat in the form of cutlets, sausages, goulash; quail, liver (on the street).
They give out in portions, but as much as you need, they will give as much (you can show which piece). Alcohol is poured in a bar on the street. Packaged red wine, beer and strong alcohol. I’ll immediately note for lovers - in this hotel it is mercilessly diluted. The closer the evening, the more watery it is. They themselves saw how the bartender topped up from one bottle into different ones in color and name. Even the beer was sometimes diluted. So take it with you, otherwise it's a disaster.
There is also a bar in the lobby. Works from 10 to 23.00. There is no wine in it, everything else is present (also often diluted). Plus tea, coffee (tasteless). At noon and at four o'clock there were some buns.
Bar near the fifth building and the amphitheater. It works from 10.00 until sunset, but at 4 there may already be nothing. The same set and (cocktails, mirinda, sprite, pepsi, tea, coffee). At first, everything was served in miniature plastic cups, then in large plastic ones, but since they were not returned back, there was no one to collect them along the beach.
I always carry on-duty mugs with me, so there were no problems. Beer had a habit of running out (there were those who wanted to take 4 glasses in each hand), we had to wait for more to be brought. The bartenders at the hotel are almost all unfriendly, greedy. I liked only Julian and the general manager of the restaurant.
Ice cream is served on the beach near the shisha (hookah bar) from 4 to 5 pm.
The beach bar is closed.
To sum up the nutrition, many dishes are peppered, biscuits often differ only in color, there are no packaged juices. Tea and coffee are so-so. Alcohol - only cold undiluted beer can be drunk, the rest is sadness.

Services offered on the beach are not intrusive and not frequent. I do not recommend Ichthyander for excursions. And it’s expensive, and it won’t return the money if, due to malaise, you refuse the trip (in return, they will offer something, but each time they will find an excuse to cancel it).
SEA. Warm and wonderful. There was no wind, no prohibitions either, the pontoon was short. The beach does not close, but swimming is only allowed until sunset. Particularly beautiful places are on the left side towards the Baron Hotel and the sunken ship. We explored the reef starting from the lighthouse (opposite Tiran Island) through the hotels Coral Sea Sensatori Resort, Baron, Sirena, Melton, Siwa. This is several kilometers of coastline. We walked along the beach once to the Far Baron, then slowly sailed to our hotel, taking a break on the pontoons. But more often they either sailed from the neighboring Sirena pontoon, or directly from the shore above the corals on a wild beach at high tide from the side of Siwa.
Low tides begin somewhere around 11 o'clock and until two o'clock. At this time, it is already impossible to enter from the shore, and the view at the edge is ugly. The best was seen either in the early morning (before eight), or after 15.00. Eagle stingray in shallow water above the reef, huge grouper, large hedgehog fish, schools of carnax, horse mackerel, parrots, napoleons. Unfortunately, neither turtles nor moray eels were seen.
The most beautiful reef near Baron's pontoon and half way from our hotel to Sirena (former Melton Sharm). There is almost no reef wall as such, the reef goes down 5-10 meters and without a shallow plateau passes into a dump to great depths. The reef is alive but also in places. There are two currents, halfway to Sirena.
