We rested with a married couple for two weeks from August 16 to August 30.2018.
The hotel is definitely not worth the money. I have been in Egypt more than 10 times, so I saw both decent hotels and complete trash. Here Monte Carlo is approaching ruin.
The territory is large, but there is little greenery, few trees, palm trees, umbrellas on the beach. If you look at the hotel grounds from the sea, you will see that Monte Carlo is bald like a skull compared to the others.
Coming out of the sea there is only one shower, the next one is by the pool, which is not quite adequate. The toilet is not close behind the bar, so Russian children piss nearby where they can.
Sun loungers are generally inadequate, old, crippled and very heavy.
The reef is as crippled as the sunbeds, there are at least fish, there are some ruins of bridges and tires everywhere. In neighboring hotels, the reef is much more beautiful and diverse.
The staff is corrupt. I am in favor of tipping if the person has done a good job, but if the person openly expresses his displeasure and disdain, I will not pay him to smile at me. This is the kind of staff at the bars, with crooked and dissatisfied faces. Even giving them water is a big favor.
The massage at the hotel spa is also bad. More like stroking. It seemed that the masseur would fall asleep on me right to the music.
The food is varied, there is a lot of it, you will not stay hungry.
We were given a room overlooking the walls of the pool bar, at the reception when they gave us, they said that we were very lucky with the room (joking, you can’t trust them at all), although we ordered with a view of the pool. The rooms are spacious, the furniture is not very old. The air conditioner was so loud that we were woken up at night by its noise. The master who was called in order to
repair only shrugged and left with the ends.
The conclusion is that you should not pay more, there are hotels nearby that are much better, both in terms of staff and the fullness of the hotel, and the reef. I will not recommend this hotel to my friends.
