We decided to go to Egypt in the "off season". The travel agency (Atlas, Yekaterinburg) offered to choose Oriental Rivoli in Sharm El Sheikh. Yes, that's right, and I read the reviews, and they strained me a little... But... they took a chance. And they didn't regret it.
Now about the hotel. Solid 4 stars. We arrived by paying for a Standard room... That's a tin)))) In one there was no window (well, or it was skillfully draped, I didn’t see it)))), in the other room on the window there was a small wooden lattice and a view of the wall)))
In general, they gave another 120 dollars and got a Superior number. No. 1149.

The room is good. . . With direct access to the pool))) We hardly used the door with the keys (why? Sunbeds in front of the room))) In the room. . . yes, everything is fine. . . Wardrobes, safe, TV. . . Normal bathroom. . true not a bathroom, but a shower... But this is, let's say, particular. There is a small refrigerator filled with different drinks.... IT IS PAYING, VERY PAYING (see below) In the refrigerator it is possible to lock it with a key - it is not closed)))) Do not get caught.
The hotel itself. Not bad. Of course you have to choose for yourself. Need a quiet place - this is the case. Italians? There were... There were Germans, Poles, Spaniards... The average age was 30-35. BUT THERE WAS NO NOISE. . . THERE WAS NO. . .
The hotel has three swimming pools, one of which is heated. Considering that the temperature is not high in the other two seasons (the sea turned out to be much warmer) The hotel has no access to the sea. The beach (apparently the owner is one) at the Gafi hotel. There were NO problems. The only thing - you need to take a pass to the reception. Sunset in the sea is sandy. Apparently artificially created... Corals, and everything else is... all this is for everyone. Sorry, but I don't belong to them)))
Meals at the hotel. The cooking quality seemed good to me. Meat problems? Chicken? Fish? Yes, no, it seems....Considering that the trip to Egypt is already the third in a row - the level of cooking is higher than the average Egyptian for this type of hotel. We had three meals a day. I did not like the restriction with water, with drinks. Not just a restriction... but you have to ASK for water, cola, etc.... Ugliness, I agree.
In general, the choice is again yours - there are different types of food (breakfasts, breakfast + dinner)... Choose. But next to the hotel there is really nothing from food outlets except McDonald's and Starbucks ((((.

There is one more minus. Almost no Russian is spoken. Moreover. . . Upon arrival at the hotel. . . the Poles (like) arrived after us, so they got juice and almost instant resettlement. . . And we were offered to wait at the reception for 14 hours (i. e. more than 3 hours( (( ) And of course, no juice (or whatever they gave the Poles. It's a shame, but it seems that this is a flaw of the tour operator (Teztur in our case). In addition... there are REALLY very few Russians in the hotel... So, drive more often and there will be both Russian and juice)))) Moreover, according to the guide, Russians are one of the few who do not make problems from tips for cleaners, porters, etc.
I observed a landmark picture (in my opinion) - in the bar the bartender memorized some phrases in English (only your child heard the hero today))))... So the conclusions suggest themselves....
The hotel has a restriction on bringing drinks and food "from the street" into the hotel. They introduced me right away... But, for all the time they never checked the bags. Although I saw it and checked it more than once. In fact, a lot depends on YOUR mood. . . Smile (greet, say goodbye) to the security at the entrance, to the people at the reception (although not the most pleasant), to the cleaners, etc. . . And you will be treated like people)) ) without conducting humiliating checks. Yes, by the way, no one grumbles about the fact that, for example, in Bulgaria, sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach for an additional fee, despite the "star" of the hotel. These are their rules. And it's EXACTLY the same here. THEIR RULES.
Trip to Cairo. 60 dollars per person. Departure at 1 am. The road to Cairo is not five hours, as the guide swears, but all seven). Tip (albeit peeped) for such long trips, it is advisable to grab at least a pillow from the room. The bus was apparently more experienced travelers (with pillows))). And if possible, then take TWO chairs for 1 person.

Cairo... Tin....Dirt, crowds of people, car horns, chaotic movement... Cairo Museum... One piece of advice - do not go with a guide... Check the time of boarding the bus and see the museum yourself... do not get lost . . The guide shows "stones" - tombs, statues, etc.... And there are also rooms with jewelry, costume jewelry, etc.... There is something to look at there... I'm not saying that you don't need "stones"... but not so much. . . After the museum of boats on the Nile. . . Strange as it may seem, but our Petersburg will give a million points of odds to the Nile and Cairo))) Lunch, Pyramids, Sphinx. . . EVERYTHING at a gallop. . . Then a survey a platform where "you need to buy, they have a good time"... then a store of all sorts of things and an oil store... the road "home" is the same 6-7 hours. At the exit - such a rule - the driver for 1 dollar for work in the form of a tip... At the discretion of course.
On the day of departure... Bus at 15-45... asked to leave the room at 11... Did not agree. They said - the luggage was written at 11-50... so come... So the porter came with an interval of 5-7 minutes... Then he asked for a tip))) They didn’t give it. GOT. It turned out that there was not enough spirit of bottles of water in the refrigerator....And not some kind, namely Aquafina (well, they have such water . . from Coca Cola) They found one in their bag... they put it in and for the second they went to cafe outside the territory) 2 bottles of water - 14 pounds... 1 bottle of water IN THE CAFE - 4 pounds))) Upon learning that water appeared, they said at the reception . . This is your water... take it, and we are 14 pounds... I was shocked by such impudence. Sent away. Luckily I had passports
Everything else in Egypt is like a blueprint....Unfortunately... .
