Traveled with my husband in November 2008. Generally agree with previous reviews. The hotel is good. A few words about the animation: really all in Italian. Animators work for the Italians and invite only Italians to participate. But if one of ours wants to participate, you are welcome. Italians have red bracelets, everyone else has golden ones.
Now about the shortcomings, attention: as recommended, during the settlement they invested 10 bucks in the passport. We got a chic room (house 26, room 262), overlooking the pool. The view from the balcony is the most beautiful BUT: right in front of the windows in front of the entrance to the pool there is an animation site and music is blaring all day long. And it doesn't just rattle, but TERRIBLY rattles. But this is not the worst - the show starts at 21-00. Again, nothing saves from the roar, it is impossible to sleep. The show runs until midnight. Usually I endured until half past midnight, then called the reception and threatened to call the police. Only after that the music was turned off. So, who cares about silence - be careful with rooms overlooking the pool.
Now regarding the time of year: they are now like winter (frosts reach +25 : )). At the same time, there is no cold, but the wind can blow from the sea, which is not very comfortable, although the water is warm. Darkness begins around 17:00, and darkness falls suddenly. Dinner starts at 19-30, but at the very beginning it is better not to go there, because there is a queue in the restaurant and nowhere to sit. Then the crowd slowly disperses. It turns out that from five to eight in the evening there is absolutely nothing to do, darkness has come, and dinner is still far away. At this time, you can go for a walk in the city.
On Fridays they have a gala dinner: the Italian shift leaves and a new one comes in. Everyone comes out in evening dresses, animators in tailcoats, I light candles on the tables. Therefore, I advise you to dress up for dinner on Friday too, so as not to stand out in shorts against the background of evening dresses.
Tipping was given for cleaning. Every other day they left five pounds on the table. They tried to leave 2 pounds - they didn’t take it.
