Were in Egypt from 10 to 18 December 2010. Tour operator "Intourist", airline "Transaero". In general, the holiday was a success, despite some things. Well, first things first.
There were 5 of us. 4 adults and a child. The flight from Yekaterinburg took place on time on a Boeing 767. The plane was good, the flight attendants were friendly. Admittedly, the food was a bit of a let down. Because it was breakfast time, we were fed a choice - scrambled eggs or pancakes. The taste is so-so, but generally edible.
After arrival, the tour operator took us to the hotel without any problems and quickly. At the reception, we were immediately put on bracelets and sent to a restaurant. After we ate, a blue-eyed Egyptian in a blue T-shirt escorted us to our rooms. We gave him $1 from each room. Looking around in the room, we realized that there was not a fountain here, but initially we decided for ourselves that we had flown to Sharm to schizgar, and not to hang out in the room, so we were not particularly upset. The balcony overlooked the street, the air conditioner blew only cold air, although it was cool in the room, an old TV, the remote control of which was taped. There was little light in the room. There was a floor lamp by the TV, but since there was only one outlet, I had to choose either to watch TV or turn on the floor lamp. In the room of our friends there was also a table lamp, and there was a dryer on the balcony. We didn't have that kind of pleasure. The water in the shower was cold. If the first evening we somehow washed ourselves, then the next day it was incredibly cold, and even the constant floods after washing were frustrating. The water was adjusted only on the third day. The floods have remained.

The weather let us down. On the first night it got colder, there were very strong winds, in the morning the balcony was covered in sand. During the day they sometimes put on jackets, and in the evening there was nothing to say - it was cold even in leather jackets. It improved only after 4 days and the rest of the days we made up for getting a tan.
The food at the hotel is varied. This and a lot of side dishes - vegetables, rice, potatoes, pasta, and meat, fish, crabs, chicken, kebab cooked on fire, soups, very much nothing, etc. Breakfast includes scrambled eggs from the chef. Various pastries are also offered throughout the day. There are few fruits - mainly guava, dates, oranges. From drinks all day - tea (black, green, red and yellow), coffee, cocoa, juices are very tolerable (in the spring I was in Egypt in a five-star hotel, so it’s impossible to drink juices there). In general, the food pleased, as it did not cause disgust and indigestion.
The hotel area is small. It has 2 pools, one of them with slides that operate on a schedule - hour after hour. The water in the pools is not even cold, but icy - it cramped my fingers and toes. Once I ventured to swim and earned myself a cough and hoarseness in my voice. The pools have a pretty good bar with juices, beer, spirits, alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. Near the bar there are tables for table tennis, hookah (hookah $ 3) and a playground where animation takes place. Animation, of course, is a little lame, but the animator girls are trying. From 8 to 9 pm children's animation, from 9 adult shows start - this is a fire show, and an African show, Mr. and Miss hotel, a competition "men against women" and other events. After which a small disco and a trip to the Space club. In the building where the reception is located, there are a couple of shops with souvenirs, on the second floor there is a lobby bar where you can drink, listen to music, play billiards, surf the Internet. In the evening, someone is being poisoned with chemicals on the territory of the hotel - of course it smells unpleasant, but this is not for long))
I don’t know how it was the rest of the time, but on our arrival, out of all the vacationers, there were 90 percent Russians. It pleased. There were many new acquaintances. And among foreigners, by the way, too)).

There are two beaches near the hotel, as already mentioned. Middle is a 15 minute walk from the hotel. This is the beach of Delta Sharm hotel. He is very small. They say that there are a lot of beautiful living creatures in the sea, but we didn’t swim there, because because of the sharks they didn’t let us into the depths. By the way, on this beach one day we met familiar guys from our city. It was very surprising)) The second beach is located in the old town area. We got there by bus. This beach is big and cheerful - music plays, you can play volleyball. The sea here is shallow and there are no fish, and in general it is like a bay or something, because the horizon line is not visible. We mainly went to this beach, because here you can safely swim. We did henna tattoos. So, on this beach they are cheaper than on the near one.
Now about excursions. The whole company went on an excursion to the Colored Canyon and the Blue Lagoon. The tour is interesting, but a little tiring, because it starts at 6 am, they bring it back at 7 pm. At first we drove by jeep for 2.5 hours to the city of Dahab, then we walked along the colored canyon. Then we went to the blue lagoon to swim. Special footwear is desirable, I personally cut my foot on corals and then the whole rest I could not stand on my foot. There we ate lunch and rode camels. It was extreme)) Then we went to Dahab to the shopping center and home.
The second excursion with my girlfriend was on the show "1000 and 1 Night". There we had a Moroccan dinner, then they talked about the history of Egypt, there was a show on horseback, women's belly dance, dances with skirts, men's belly dance. Friends from the next room went to Mount Moses. They liked it, but it was physically hard and very cold.
We also went to the Dolce Vita disco for free from Intourist. It is now called the Taj Mahal. The disco is big and cool. Who likes to dance well - I advise.
I would like to mention the following hotel workers - these are, of course, the animators Nadya (Egyptian), Lyuba from Yekaterinburg, Lenka and Sylvia (I don’t know where they are from) and their DJ. Hookah man and bartender Raed, waiter Tarek, and indeed, all the waiters are very friendly and helpful. One waiter (unfortunately, I don’t remember his name), if he sees that you are pouring tea, will definitely offer to bring it to your table.
In general, I liked everything, it was fun. They tried to ignore the shortcomings and enjoyed the rest.
Anyone who has any questions about the hotel and recreation, please contact, I will be happy to answer
