Just got back from Rehana the other day. While fresh impressions, I write. : ) The hotel is wonderful! From many Egyptian "fives" and Rehana Royal differs only in the second coastline. An excellent huge territory, from five in the morning the hotel staff licks it, waters it, cuts it... They are generally great there - they follow everything very much, it just pleases the eye. The attitude of the staff is good to all vacationers in general. Those who write about the opposite - maybe you should look at yourself, how you behave and how you treat others? I saw such finished among our compatriots there that it was a shame for all of ours at once. (
We arrived on March 18, arrived at the hotel at about 1 pm, the wind was blowing it away : )) There were sandstorms in Egypt. I had to endure three days, then the weather was excellent until the very end of the holiday.
At the reception, we were immediately given bracelets and sent to dinner, after dinner we were settled. The number given at first was not very good. Well, that is, not very good for me - the first floor overlooking the vegetation. Husband so nothing number was. And I wanted better, for 20 dollars (they wanted 30) I negotiated a room overlooking the pool and a reception on the second floor. : ) The room is great, I don't know what they write about broken furniture and plumbing. Not French carved furniture, of course, but not Soviet freaks either. Everything is maintained in the same style, few hotels of this class can boast of this. The room was cleaned well, daily, we changed towels every day, we didn't even have to throw them on the floor. : ) And for a dollar, room service made swans out of towels and hearts out of bedspreads on our bed. )) Although it still depends on the individual, probably our neighbors from the same building complained that they cleaned worse and did not make swans.

The food is excellent! Varied and very well prepared. There is always a choice of 3-4 meat dishes, many poultry dishes, vegetables in all forms, in general, a myriad. Fruits daily - in March we got bananas, oranges, guava, watermelons, apples, strawberries. : ) And sweets...... you can just sell your soul for them. : ) In the bars during the day there are snacks - french fries, sausages, hamburgers. I really didn’t like sausages there - soy is soy. Alcohol of local production is so-so, of course. But since we are not big fans of it, this minus is imperceptible for us. And the beer is nothing, just very light, similar to our draft Obolon. The non-alcoholic cocktails they make are delicious too. : ) We already wrote about juices here - the most common powder ones, like Jupi. All water is imported, upon check-in two half-liter bottles of water are issued and then you can go to fill them in the cooler, they are almost at every step.
The territory of the hotel, I repeat - super. A lot of greenery, a lot of pools (by the way, not every five has so much). There are two big slides and two for children, I would not call it a water park, of course : ) There is a water park a couple of kilometers away - in San Raise. The heating of water in March still (already) did not work, but by lunchtime the water was heated up anyway. In the evening, the whole territory is awesomely illuminated, every bush, every tree.
The beach is good, the road is not tiring at all. The tunnel to the beach is really very beautiful, in the same place there is a shop where you can buy cheap everything you need - coral slippers ($ 5), hats, sunscreen, etc. By the way, a safari-style hat bought there for 5 bucks is still admired by all of Kyiv. )) We got to the beach only in the evenings, in the morning we went there very early, right after breakfast. At this time there is a sea of ​ ​ free sunbeds and mattresses and it is not very hot yet. If you come to dinner, then there are already problems with places, I watched a couple of times. And as always, the Russians start to make a fuss. ))
The sea, as elsewhere in Sharm, is shallow, the reef is 50 meters, and the depth begins from the pontoon. Life-guards often whistle when entering the water from the shore. Because of what, again, our compatriots make scandals. Although there is a completely wild beach nearby on the left (the hotel is still unfinished there). And whistling by the way is absolutely not in vain. This can be seen in the photos attached below. Moray eels, sea urchins, sea snakes - it’s not enough to encounter such a creature on a reef. They saw a girl with a bandaged leg and a man with a wounded one.
Diving from the pontoon is a pleasure. Do not forget to purchase a waterproof case for the camera along with the mask and snorkel - the photos are excellent and a lot of fun.

I can’t say anything about the animation - we were on our own and didn’t visit any entertainment on the territory. One thing I can say - the animators are not at all annoying. But for those who crave communication, there are all the conditions there - water aerobics, Latin dances, just aerobics on the beach, volleyball. There is a gym on site, but a couple of the most normal machines didn't really work. They offered, I would even say actively offered, a SPA (from $ 10 procedure) - in principle, you could go, but there was reluctance, we arrived at the sea, but you can go to the SPA in Kyiv. In the evenings, there is a disco in the reception building on the second floor.
Oh yes, another insignificant minus is the frequent lack of hot water (during the day it seems that it doesn’t exist there at all). But in principle, at a time when everyone usually takes a shower (in the morning and evening), she is.
We discovered one wonderful place for diving / snorkeling, three kilometers from Rehana. There is also a wasteland, hotels are just being built, a wonderful cape and gorgeous fauna. We also noticed this place from Google-map. And they were not mistaken - quite a lot of people come there to dive.
We went to Cairo and the pyramids. We took it directly from the hotel guides. It turned out to be only $10-15 more expensive than private traders, but the program is more extensive, the bus is good (and it takes 6 hours to go one way! ) And insurance is included. The tour is exhausting, but I really enjoyed it. First the pyramids, then Cairo, papyrus and perfume museums, a boat ride on the Nile, lunch and a visit to the museum. If you haven't been, go, you won't regret it. A lot of impressions from this crazy city are guaranteed.
We also went to the Old Market (it takes 20-30 minutes by taxi ($8-10), minibus (from $2 to $5 for two, as you bargain), a hotel bus ($3 per person one way). To be honest - to catch "There's not much there. Although I know English very well and I can bargain. The prices are insane, in the same shops near Rehana, the starting prices are much lower. Plus, this characteristic feature of Eastern peoples to pester, grab hands....More or less you can buy in supermarkets. " Well, or know exactly what exactly you are going to Old Market for and how much it should cost.

By the way, to the left of Rehana on the same side of the road there is a small shopping center, there are 2 supermarkets and many small shops. The assortment and prices are the same old market for you, but you don’t need to go far. There we discovered the society of a wonderful person, Isham - he has a store-museum there, called Doctor House. ))) If you pass by - come in, you won't regret it. First of all, he is a very intelligent person, he knows Russian very well, he is completely different from all those Arabs whom he had seen before. He has 3 higher educations and lived in Moscow for 6 years. )) He collects antique household items and furniture (which can be seen, photographed and bought in the same store), plus he is engaged in perfumery, makes ointments and creams based on oils and sells spices. From communication with him in general - a pleasure. By the way, he absolutely does not force anything to buy from him, unlike most. )
In general, the hotel is a solid five, as well as the rest. We went without a child, now we will also go to Rehana with a child. For children there are all conditions.
