We rested with my husband from 05.03 to 19.03. 2008. We went from the tour operator "Intourist", there are no complaints against them, well done. Travel agency "Kontur", Tomsk. In Egypt for the first time, before that we were in Turkey. Of course, I understand that it is impossible to compare Turkey and Egypt, they are completely different countries with their own customs, so I will try to be objective. I can divide my opinion about the rest into 3 sides: this is a hotel, excursions and the rest itself. In the ratio I will put the following marks: 3.4, 4. And now everything is in order. About the hotel: The hotel does not pull 5 stars, only 3 with a stretch. There is only one positive thing - the territory is really beautiful, blooming, it is clear that the hotel was originally planned as one of the best in Sharm, but the management structure is rotten - Arabic, hence all the unpleasant moments follow. The service at the hotel is so bad that you can't even put a three. The room was not cleaned well, the floor was never washed for 2 weeks, the towels were changed every other time, and sometimes the dirty ones are folded beautifully - as if they put fresh ones, the linen was changed 2 times, sometimes they forgot to throw out the garbage, I’m already silent about dust and all sorts of other things like soaps, shampoos, etc. . , despite the fact that we left a dollar every day and even caught it by the hand, putting the dollar personally into the hands of the cleaner and saying that we should wash the floor in the room and change the towels, I say ok. , the answer is ok. . We come from the sea to the room - nothing has been done - AND THIS IS 5 STARS? Then they just spat and did not leave them a tip. We were told that each building had its own cleaner, maybe we were just unlucky, because some fellow citizens said that they cleaned well and without a tip. In the lobby bar, the bartender is just a boor with a capital letter, and is rude even to children. In general, the attitude towards Russians is very bad. Some write in the reviews that you smile and they will smile at you too - nothing like that. Not a single waiter will approach you no matter how much you call, but the foreign tourists just sat down at the table, there are already a bunch of waiters near them. The Germans are so “licked”, although they drink and brawl terribly. As for food, everything is so primitive and every day is the same (this is not Turkey for you). I never thought that people would queue outside the restaurant to eat (there are just no places). There are few seats, the waiters do not have time to clean up the dirty dishes, then they will run out of glasses, then drinks. The most surprising thing is when the waiter offers to sit at a table with a bunch of dirty dishes, and wait 20-30 minutes for the knives and forks to be washed - terrible! The choice of snacks is limited to 3 types of sausages, cheeses, sliced fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, herbs, cabbage - everything is standard every day. Of the fruits, only dates, green melon (chopped), oranges, tangerines, bananas, guava (which no one eats) despite the fact that during this period there is a season of strawberries, mangoes, watermelons. In short, the food is not very good, of course you won’t stay hungry, but you won’t experience satisfaction from delicious food either. I also want to mention that my husband and I have strong stomachs, but the Muscovites whom we met together with a 6-year-old child did not leave the toilet every other day. Complete unsanitary conditions, there are so many flies on the buffet..... Detergent remains on the dishes - they do not have time to caress the dishes - draw conclusions. In addition to the main restaurant "Marakesh" as a buffet, there is also Chinese, Italian, fish, Central Asian, they must be booked in advance. We liked the fish one more, nothing else Italian. About food and service is understandable, now about the sea. There is no sea at all. I mean, it's there, but not in this hotel. The pontoon is 1 km long. , you still have to go 100 meters straight from the pontoon to dive, to swim you have to go to the left of the pontoon 200 meters, there is a small lagoon, where we dived with a mask and snorkel. We must pay tribute that under water - BEAUTIFUL! So many different fish of all colors and corals. It's nice that you immediately forget about the negative hotel. The water is warm and clear. It’s impossible to predict the wind in Egypt, it’s like luck, and we were a little unlucky, out of 2 weeks of rest, a cool wind blew for 5 days, a red flag hung (you can’t swim), although the Russians don’t follow this rule and still swam, because some of them even come to rest for 4 days. Since there is no sea in this hotel, everything is set up for people to swim in the pools, there are 7 of them, one is heated, it is so small that I would call it for children, children mostly swim there with cries of “mom peed in water. " The animation is almost invisible and inaudible, it seems that this is a "Nursing Home", of course it is in the sense of a girl in T-shirts with the inscription "Animation", but when you ask one of them what kind of entertainment is held in the hotel in the evening, you get a killer answer - “I didn’t come here to work, we ask why? , in response - to find a husband. ” I saw the truth a couple of times aerobics, yoga and volleyball, in the evening a disco - That's it. Live music is just an instrumental without words. From excursions we went to Cairo and Jerusalem (to holy places). Cairo is such a dump, the city is gray-black, not a single bright color, the Cairo Museum did not make any impression - everything is covered in dust, cobwebs. The pyramids also did not make any impression - all in camel shit and cigarette butts, as well as Bedouins who want to get into your pocket. But Jerusalem is the biggest light in our vacation. There is really not a big reservation, if you are going to touch the faith and visit the shrines of Christianity, see with your own eyes the places where Jesus Christ was born and lived, then I highly recommend this tour - you will not regret it. And if for the sake of a word, then it's not worth it. The Dead Sea is wonderful, the Wailing Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Golgotha, other temples are all so impressive. Summing up: the hotel is lousy - I do not recommend it, in general, people say that Hurghada is an order of magnitude better than Sharm. Correctly, many people write tune in to the positive (sea, sun, beach) and despite the bad hotel, we still got a four-star vacation, we were a little tired of such nuances, but we arrived tanned, but we won’t go to Egypt anymore. If you have questions write, I will answer. Have a nice holiday!
