From May 9 to May 20.2010 we rested at the Sabena Marmara 4 * hotel.
The hotel is located in Sharm, in the Hadaba (Ras um el sid) area next to IL Mercato, and not far from Alf Leila Wa Leila - an entertainment complex with evening shows.
Upon check-in, they immediately ask for 20 dollars at the reception, it is not clear why?
And in order to still get them, they show 9 rooms where the air conditioner does not work, they are not cleaned (dead cockroaches on the floor), in some the plumbing is broken. When I said that I don’t care where the balcony goes, on which floor, but there should be water and air conditioning, then without extra charge we were given a room on the first floor with access to the pool. The rooms are all standard, only with one large FRENCH BED, and with two small TWIN. (Do not believe the fairy tales that with one large bed this is a deluxe room for which you have to pay extra).

Now the hotel is undergoing renovations in buildings from 7.00 to 21.00 it stinks of paint (not pleasant enough).
HOTEL - the territory is beautiful, a lot of greenery, the pools are normal, but they chlorinate early at 18.00.
Wi-Fi - The hotel is free in the bar near the reception, it is very convenient to talk on Skype.
FOOD - standard in the morning, like everywhere else - scrambled eggs, pancakes, potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes, melon and orange salad, yogurt in cups, and only four types of puffs.
Lunch - rice, potatoes, pasta, chicken, beef, vegetables, jelly, oranges, dates.
Dinner - more varied than lunch, + fish, a couple of cakes. 2 times was watermelon and guava.
ALCOHOL from 10.00 to 24.00 without restrictions - gin, rum, cognac, whiskey, vodka, beer. There is no wine. Cola drinks, sprite, and orange, more UPI and chilled hibiscus, instant tea and coffee, milk.
In general, the food is much weaker than other hotels, even the triples in which we were, but you will not stay hungry.
BEACH - CORAL (Fanara Beach), El Fanar (1.5 km from the hotel) - one of the best in the area for the number of fish right off the coast, a convenient entrance to the sea is cleared, but the sunbeds are very close to each other, only 40 seats from hotel. Many more hotels carry people to this beach (see photo).
SANDY El Kema Beach (3 km from the hotel) at the beginning of El Maya Bay, next to the Old Market in the old town. There are enough sunbeds, free, sand for an amateur, good with children.
There is a scheduled bus to the beaches, there are many flights, and to Naama Bay too.
An evening show is held every 10 days (we saw it 2 times, since we rested for 12 days).
We are satisfied with the rest only because the Red Sea is the best, simply unforgettable, and despite the small negativity, I still want to return to Egypt, but not to this hotel. We met good people, it would be boring together.
The hotel pulls on 3, up to 4 falls short.
