My husband and I went to Egypt for the first time, the hotel was chosen for a long time. I wanted to save money on accommodation, because we went first of all to the heat, the sea and the sun, and the hotel is not the main thing. Read the reviews and settled on the Sol Y Mar Sharming Inn, all inclusive. The hotel is wonderful. Large rooms, we had a view of the neighboring hotel and a bit of the sea. The territory is very beautiful, everywhere flowers, palm trees, very clean. The staff is polite and pleasant. There are two deep pools on the territory, there is no heating, each has a separate pool for children. The water is clear but cold.
Rooms are cleaned every day, towels are changed every day. It's nice. In the bathroom - shampoo, soap, sewing kit, shower cap, glasses. Shower on the counter. Plumbing works, there is always hot water.
I would especially like to say about the restaurant. They want to put not 4 stars, but twice as much. The food is varied and always hot. Breakfast - from 7 to 10 am. The cook prepares omelets and pancakes right in front of you, there are boiled eggs, rice, chicken and beef sausages, cottage cheese, cold cuts, vegetables, fruit salad (melon + orange), muesli, milk, wheat porridge and many different sweet puffs (more than 10.15 kinds daily). Lunch - from 13 to 15. There is always soup from the chef, mostly light, without zazharki and excess fat. The chef prepares pasta and fries. In addition, fish, meat, chicken, rice, potatoes, a very large selection of salads and simply chopped vegetables. For dessert - cakes and cakes, fresh dates, bananas, guava, tangerines. Dinner is always a holiday. Every day the waiters are dressed differently, all evenings are devoted to different cuisines - Italian, Egyptian, Chinese, etc. Every evening - a new dish from the chef: there was tuna, crabs, baked meat, duck - you just can’t remember everything. Meatballs, chicken with different sauces, fish with lemon, fish cakes, for lovers - dietary steamed vegetables and meat. Lots of salads, chef's special salad, vegetables, awesome cheese, fresh fruit. Cakes, pastries, desserts - I wanted to at least try everything. The food is always fresh, delicious - there was nothing that I didn't like. The restaurant is clean, through the windows we saw that the staff even catches flies so as not to interfere. Several times they saw how waiters were lined up before lunch and dinner, and the management explained something to them for a long time - apparently, how to work.

The waiters do a great job, smile, remove the plates as soon as they are empty. There is a problem with cups - they are not enough for everyone, so drinking tea or coffee may not work. But this is such a trifle that it cannot spoil the overall impression of the restaurant. The impression was spoiled only by Russian-speaking tourists, who believe that you can come to the restaurant for dinner in a beach set - shorts, slippers and T-shirts.
The hotel had 2 guides from Turtesse - Nikita and Ahmed. Both are very nice and polite. Helped to cope with any problem, told about everything. All excursions were bought from them - everything is at the highest level, the organization does not cause any complaints - everything is on time, Russian-speaking guides. In general, trips to Cairo and Jordan left only a lot of positive impressions.
When I got a little sick, Nikita helped me get in touch with the insurance company and the doctor.
The general impression of the hotel was spoiled only by the reception - the guys are too arrogant, they don’t want to take a step without baksheesh. On the first day, we asked 4 times to bring towels to our room - they smiled, said "5 minutes! " - and did not carry. After the intervention of the guide brought instantly. We didn't have a safe in our room so we had to borrow it from reception. When we were on an excursion in Cairo, our safe was opened. Apparently they were looking for money. But the money was in a suitcase with a combination lock (of course, not 000). So the guys gave us our things from the cell - there were passports, a voucher, insurance - they also made us guilty, like we need to close it. And we closed, and also checked whether it was closed.
So if you go - do not really trust the safes and promises of five minutes, immediately contact the guide.
But no minor troubles could spoil the impressions of the sea. The sea is a fairy tale. With thousands of fish and fish - yellow, blue, striped, round and long, generally of various colors, sizes and types.
The hotel has two beaches. One - a five-minute walk, coral. But paid (2 dollars at the reception). The bar on this beach is paid, to drink water, you have to pay. The sea is deep - more than 40 meters, a small bridge to enter the sea. Beautiful corals. Here we saw a huge 2-meter moray eel. The convenience of the beach is that at any time you can return to the hotel, and then come back - regardless of transport.

Free beach - a few kilometers from the hotel, there is a free bus. The ride is about 7 minutes. The depth is less - about 25 meters, less variety of corals and fish. A plastic pontoon, when there were waves on the sea, it was necessary to maintain balance on the pontoon. At the bar you can drink water and sweet drinks for free. The big minus of this beach is its attachment to transport. And if it’s easier to get to the beach (many flights), then leaving it is sometimes problematic, since the driver refuses to carry standing passengers. In this case, it remains either to take a taxi or spank on foot, because you can stay without lunch.
In the evenings in the hotel - animation, discos. I can’t say anything about this, since we have never been there - we are not fans of mass entertainment. In the evening you can stroll around Sharm, a 20-minute walk from the hotel - the entertainment center "1000 and one night", nearby - souvenir shops, shops. By the way, we bought a lot of gifts in the hotel shop - there is a very friendly and pleasant seller - Bob. He is local, but a Christian. The prices in the store are lower than in the market (they bought a handbag from him for $12.5, in the market they asked for $30 for the same; they bought 2 dresses for $7, in the market - 35). There is a free shuttle bus to Naama Bay from the hotel, recommended.
The holiday was a 100% success. We were not fans of Egypt, we didn’t really want to go there, but at the end of March we really wanted to plunge into a piece of summer. We have not regretted our decision. We recommend the hotel to people who do not pay attention to minor flaws (such as old furniture) and do not plan to sit in the rooms all the time. The hotel can be put 9 out of 10 points, the Turtess company - 12 out of 12.
