In Egypt for the 6th time, 5 of them in Sharm.
The only negative of the hotel is the outdated rooms. True, it did not bother me at all, I basically only slept there.
The pros are huge. Firstly, the hotel itself: 8 floors, everything above the 1st floor - overlooking the sea. Each even floor - rooms with a balcony, odd - with a terrace (common). The hotel is very close to the beach. Wonderful green area. The beach is full of flowers.

The beach itself is big enough. A huge plus is the large coastal zone. Very beautiful reefs, 2 pontoons of 15 meters each. For good swimmers - to the right, you can swim over the fence and swim away for km 3 (not very welcome, but... ). There you can swim along the reef in a place empty of people and hotels, where there are beautiful reefs, not frightened fish and complete unity with nature! If you take a boat trip, then most likely the third stop will be here. Therefore, the hotel staff is worried about sailing, there are always a lot of yachts. Just be careful.
I swam all day long. The last 4 days I have not gone for breakfast or lunch.
The food is of quite good quality. Breakfast - scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, pancakes, any cereals, cheese and sausage cuts, vegetables, yogurts, tea, coffee, a lot of pastries, butter, honey are fried in front of you.
Lunch - vegetable casseroles, meat, pasta with delicious sauces, natural meat and fish for distribution in portions, salads, vegetables. For lunch and dinner there was always something on the grill (on the terrace on the side of the restaurant). There are few fruits. You can go to the market, to the old city in the very first days and buy mangoes, dates, etc. Just do not need to buy where the guide advises. Turn the "corner" and buy where the locals take. The difference in prices and quality of goods will be significant. I bought 2.5 kg of excellent mangoes (yellow-red) for $5 at a convenience store on the way to Soho Square. Wanted 3 dollars for 1 kg, bargain.
Dinner - very similar to lunch, only much more romantic - the restaurant is located on the 7th floor. The veranda of the restaurant offers a beautiful view of Sharks Bay at night. I came to dinner already towards the end, took food and just enjoyed the view. Therefore, I did not go to any of the custom restaurants. Whatever they say, I like Egyptian wines, especially white and rosé . I'm also terribly fond of German beer. So Egyptian beer is also very good.
At around 11 am, ice cream was handed out at the pool bar, it is very tasty in Siwa, especially vanilla. Do not miss! From 12.30 to 14.30, delicious hamburgers were fried in a bar near the amphitheater. You can take as much as you like. I have had both breakfast and lunch for the last 4 days.

Near the hotel is Soho Square, 7 minutes walk. This is the cultural, commercial, entertainment center of Sharm. Concerts, shows, discos, souvenir shops, an ice rink, an information cultural center where you can learn a lot about the history of Egypt by visiting one of the special programs. The hotels and the square are well guarded.
There are several hotels on the square. In "Concord - sport" it was possible to ride horses earlier.
If you go outside the hotel right away, you can catch a taxi to the Old Town or to Naama Bay (4-5 dollars, bargain again) for 2 times cheaper. From the hotel it is about 8-10 dollars.
Siva itself is a beautiful hotel inside. Its common spaces - cafes, shops, halls - this is a beautiful palace from oriental tales.
The staff - though mostly new and young, but helpful and friendly. Special thanks to the hotel managers Sarah and Natalia. Sarah is from Germany, Natalia is from Belarus. Very nice and friendly. They will help you solve any of your problems. And just nice and interesting interlocutors! Special thanks to them!
Many people complain about wi-fi. . . I just didn't have time for it : ) Animation - nice guys. There was not enough animation in the evening, but this is due to the policy of the hotel. But again, it didn't bother me. I met wonderful guys, one couple even had a 9-month-old baby. Every evening we left or left somewhere. The kids loved it too : )
I heard that some were freaking out because of the large number of Arab tourists, a la, you feel like in a "gypsy camp". Well, this is a normal phenomenon in all hotels in the last 2 years. We went to the same Savoy - the same story. Hotels need to survive somehow. (although I once rested in an almost completely Italian hotel, where 90% were Italians - the same story). The main plus is that Arab tourists mostly do not know how to swim and "lived" only by the pool (well, sorry, pool lovers) : )
I have been to many places, in Greece, and in Spain, and in Tenerife, and so on. It was one of the most amazing holidays ever! Thank you Siwa, I will definitely be back soon!
