We went to Egypt as a family with a child (8 years old). This is our first trip to the Red Sea. Therefore, they were fascinated by the sea at first sight and, I think, forever. This is paradise, a fairy tale, or rather the Little Mermaid's house from the cartoon. It is worth going there for the sake of the sea, and not for the sake of food, comfort, etc.
Now about the hotel. The territory is large, beautiful, well-groomed. Many pools, with bridges, islands, of different depths and purposes. There is a small jacuzzi, a children's pool with slides (for children under 3 years old), slides for older children, and 3 slides for adults. They work by the hour. Also on the territory there are football and volleyball fields, Kids Club, animation in the evening. 1 restaurant and 2 bars on site. 1 bar on the beach.
The hotel is located on the second line, but the beach (on the territory of the Sonesta Beach hotel) is 10-15 minutes on foot. There is a shuttle to the beach (hotel), in the morning it goes every hour, in the afternoon every half an hour. Transportation was used very rarely, only at the end of the holiday.
The food was good, we weren't hungry. The side dishes are the same (2 types of potatoes, 2-3 types of pasta, rice), there was meat and fish, salads, a lot of delicious and beautiful pastries, grilled vegetables, omelettes, muesli in the morning, etc. Fruits were not in such a variety, watermelons, melons and oranges.
In general, they were satisfied with the food, but by the 7th-8th day I began to get bored : )
