Sonesta is one of the first in the Naama Bay area. We had no particular illusions about the hotel, but the first impression was far from rosy. We waited two hours at the reception before checking into the room. Free time to walk around the hotel. The hotel can be conditionally divided into 2 parts: the nearest one (the most comfortable for accommodation, not far from the main building, near the pool) and the far one, on the contrary, on the right side, a new hotel is being built, well, in addition, they are either building or restoring two pools on the territory of the hotel Sonesta Club. There are about 30 percent of Russian speakers in the hotel, much more Russians in Sonesta Beach 5 *.

I was unpleasantly struck by the fact that the Russians were settled in rooms just overlooking the construction site (even $ 10 did not help). The rooms did not impress either, dark, damp, with green-red paint cracked on the furniture.

Since the hotel is located on the 2nd coast, we went to the nearby Sonesta Beach to the beach. Every 5 minutes a small free bus goes there, and on foot you can get there in 7-10 minutes. The beach is good, but unfortunately, finding free sunbeds is very problematic.

The sea deserves special attention. In October, it is 26 degrees. For swimming, shoes are required, because you can hurt your feet on the reef, or, God forbid, step on a sea urchin. The underwater world is striking in its diversity. For convenience, you can go down to the sea from the pantone. Animation is not on the beach, not in the hotel. On the beach, you can buy a yacht tour to the Ras Mohammed Nature Reserve or Tiran Island. (we went, I really liked it . . special thanks to the instructor Aymen))) As for excursions, it is better to purchase them in Naama Bay from local travel agencies (for example, the Orbit agency, we went from them to Jerusalem for $ 135 per person) You can get to Naama Bay by minibus for 1 pound or by taxi for 10-15 pounds.
To the Old Town for 25 pounds. It is better to hang out at a disco and relax in a cafe in Naama, but you can go shopping in the Old Town.

There were few in the hotel, they only came to eat and sleep. The food is varied, but enough. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Tipping works wonders)), even when the restaurant is full, there are always empty seats. In the evening there is an entertainment program for 20-30 minutes, usually dances performed by dancers from Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan))
In general, the holiday was a success, but I will not go to this hotel again. I will give preference to either Days INN4* or Tropicana Rosetta.
P. S. Have a great holiday in Sharm!
