We will try to leave the most detailed review, because. everything that is written about 2007 is already outdated; ))) New pools, slides and a jacuzzi have been completed in the hotel.

The hotel is located 10 km from Sharm El Sheikh Airport, in Naama Bay, on the second line.
Due to the proximity of the airport in the mornings and evenings, you can see and hear the planes landing. Maybe this bothers someone, but we found only a plus in such a close location: when Tez Tour took us to hotels after arrival, our hotel was the second along the bus route and we quickly checked into a hotel; )) Already somewhere 1.5 hours after the plane landed.
To the center of Naama Bay, where all the entertainment and shops are walking distance from the door of the hotel for 20-25 minutes. You can walk along the road (but it’s better to meet traffic, otherwise taxi drivers will be tormented), or you can go through the Sonesta Beach hotel (turn right at our common beach and walk along the pedestrian street along other hotels and cafes, it’s much more interesting there; )) Or by bus for about 7 minutes for 1 pound per person.
Shopping, as already mentioned, is best done in the Old Town (aka Old Market). You can’t walk to it; ) We went by bus (caught a blue mini-bus and drove to the end, 15-20 minutes) for 2 pounds per person, when there were no pounds, we paid 1 dollar for two. Often from tourists who do not know their prices, they demanded more and did not give change. So it's better to change 1 pound bills right away. If you want to go by taxi, you can bargain for 15-20 pounds.
By the way, more about shopping. A 24/7 food supermarket is a 10 minute walk from the hotel towards Naama Bay. The prices are quite reasonable. For example, sunglasses, which are sold in a hotel for 90 pounds, cost only 30 there; ) Moreover, what’s good is that the prices are fixed and you are spared the trouble of haggling, although they try to squeeze the change. For example, we collected goods for 33.25 pounds, we give a hundred, the cashier gives us 65 pounds and, looking with an honest look, asks “OK? ” maybe it was necessary to scoop out all the change, but the poor fellow felt sorry.

On the territory of the hotel, we personally counted 8 pools and all with different depths. Of these, one jacuzzi (this is super, try it; ))), at least 4 heated ones (one of them rides from the slides), a couple of children with slides.
In previous reviews (and in the description of the hotel) they write only about two pools (these are at the main bar). When we were there, mostly elderly foreigners sunbathed, so we preferred warm distant pools (where, by the way, there is also a bar ; ))), a jacuzzi and slides. They were built in December 2007 just near the numbers 600 - 1200, so it's a sin for the Russians to complain about the settlement.
In the reviews they write that there are not enough sunbeds... Well, this is relative. We could always find free ones. Even if they are in different places or in an inconvenient place for you, you take and drag them to where you like. The staff also brought mattresses from sunbeds (without a plastic structure), they could be taken next to the issuance of towels, if they weren’t there, then we just spread a towel on the lawn in front of the pool and sunbathed (although this was only once). In general, if you wish, you can always find a place. Of course, if you want to take a certain place by the pool, then it’s better to “book” it before breakfast (throw your towel on the sunbed and even if someone takes it, if you are absent for a long time, then as soon as you come, they will immediately release it; ) )))

We were given a room on the second floor in the third building, not far from the main restaurant. The view from the window was on the playground and football field. In the evenings, you could relax in the room without listening to the music from the bar and the laughter of drunken Germans and Englishmen (by the way, there were many of them), which cannot be said about the people who lived in rooms overlooking the first pool. So we liked the location, even though we did not pay anything at the reception.
The room is standard, a large bed (although it is made of two smaller ones; ))) and our mattresses moved apart by morning), a TV with Channel One, where there is VERY little advertising; )), a lot of bedside tables, a small refrigerator, a safe, air conditioning , a balcony (where you can sit on the chairs in the evening and drink a cocktail brought from the bar).
There is a washbasin and a shower... but we never got really hot water, it always flowed a little warm. But this did not cause much difficulty in general.
Many wrote in the reviews that the rooms are a bit dark. It's true (we had one) - there are no windows, a door to the balcony with a small window made of colored glass, which does not let light through, the lighting in the room is dim. But this, in general, did not bother us, with the balcony door open, there was enough light; ) True, when we once forgot to close it at night, we were devoured by Egyptian mosquitoes; ))) So air conditioning is better at night than an open door.
The hotel has rooms with sliding glass doors to the balcony, they are light and good; )

In general, the linen was not changed for us even once, the floor was not washed or even swept, one day there was no cleaning at all (although we were on excursions that day until 5 pm).
Here is one example of what we consider housekeeping in this hotel to be below 4*. On the penultimate day of our stay, after cleaning, we had one half-empty bottle of shower gel in our shower (when we moved in, there were 2 with shampoo and 2 with gel). The question is, what to wash your hair with?; ))) I barely found our cleaner, and to the question about the lack of shampoo I get a wonderful answer “Shampoo from the finish! ”... And this happens. As a result, the manager brought us two bottles of gel and shampoo. In general, for cleaning the room no more than a triple!
In the restaurant we liked to eat outdoors where you can smoke. But places for dinner there could not wait, too many people.
The waiters serve quickly, only when there is not a full house (there are empty tables), if everything is occupied, then first of all they “lick” older foreigners (they change the tablecloths for them and put two pairs of cutlery, and drinks are immediately poured), we were told that this because they (foreigners) like to complain to the manager, which is why the waiters are deducted from their salaries.
We are unpretentious people, but when you already come to the table with full plates, and there are still no cutlery... this is too much; ) Once at dinner, we waited for 10 minutes for beer to be brought to us... In the bar, most often we ordered beer (by the way, they have quite nothing, it is called Stella, it is sold in stores for 10 pounds per bottle). A large selection of cocktails (in the main bar there is even a menu with about 10 of them and what is included in them). We recommend trying the Green Devil. And intoxicating and refreshing. But you need to try it for the first time during the day, in the evening you will be served a lightweight (in terms of components), although maybe a stronger version. It is best prepared by Raouf and Hamdi. You can also order a cocktail made to your taste, or pure drinks (whiskey, vodka, rum, gin (local spill)). Bars are open from 10 am to midnight. During the day, you can have a bite to eat with hamburgers, french fries, chips, and a variety of puffs. From non-alcoholic drinks there is coffee, tea, juices, cola, fanta, sprite, water; ) Service is high quality and fast. They understand Russian; ) But the waiters are better in the main bar than at the far pools. We give them a five.

There is a football field (with us, markings were applied to it, nets were hung on the gates), in the evenings international teams play there; ))) Animators invite to the volleyball court during the day, so it is also not empty.
Separately, I would like to say about the "Health Club", which has a gym (when I was at school, we had similar simulators : )), sauna, Turkish bath, jacuzzi - all this for a fee. It is best to do the Cleopatra procedure upon arrival, an unforgettable experience ; -) It takes 2 hours (steam room, jacuzzi, coconut peeling, shower, Turkish bath, massage). We really enjoyed. True, they gave 100 bucks for two, but it's worth it, believe me; ) Many water activities are offered on the beach: catamaran, banana, parachute, etc. On the first day of your stay, everyone who is not tanned is given price lists; )

The reviews write that it is monotonous... you can say so : ))) Every day for lunch and dinner, potatoes, pasta, rice, meat, fish, vegetarian dishes, salads and pastries. It's just cooked differently each time. So even the pastries were not able to try all. In the morning, several types of eggs (from liquid omelet to simply boiled), pancakes, vegetable and fruit salads, croutons, muesli, etc. For lunch every day a new soup, a lot of meat, chicken, fish, salads, side dishes... For dinner, there is also a large selection. Moreover, during the week they have a day of Italian cuisine, Arabic, American, international. We did not wait for Russian borscht and dumplings; ))) (apparently, there are not enough Russian tourists yet; )) They write that all the food is peppered... We did not notice this, for example, french fries are not even salted; )))
A small digression... When we were in Naama Bay, we wanted to go to a restaurant in order to taste seafood delicacies (but they are not too cheap there), but that day we did not bother. And after we were served the so-called “sea cocktail” for dinner (and even for free; ))) we didn’t look at cafes anymore; )
In general, the kitchen can be put four plus. Not five, because there are really few fruits (we saw only oranges, bananas, tangerines and dates, and all seem to be not the first freshness).
Sea/beach 4
We share a beach with Sonesta Beach, but it’s very small...
If you go from the shore, then the sand, but shallow... If from the pontoon, then corals, where everyone swims with masks. You have to wear slippers, you can get hurt. The water is clean, clear, warm, very salty; ) We always found free sunbeds, no matter what time we came. Towels for Sonesta Club can be obtained at the hotel and brought with you, you can on the beach, but they are issued until 16.00. Bar on the all-inclusive beach only for Sonesta Beach, in our bar only soft drinks and snacks are free (after all, we must be something different from 5 stars; ))) But of course, after we went to excursion on a yacht to the Ras Mohamed reserve and swim there in the purest emerald water among corals and fish, then we no longer went to our beach...
Animation, Entertainment 3+
In our hotel, animation is good only for children - they are engaged in the daytime in the kids club and every evening at 21.00-21.30 on the stage, the animators arrange a Baby Dance with the children, which, as we have noticed, the children really like.
With adults, during the day, animators do aqua aerobics in the first pool and invite to volleyball. Every week, Mister and Miss Sonesta Club are chosen, on other days visiting bands perform, or animators arrange a Comedy Show; )) There is no live music, and there is little animation in general... But we didn’t really need it - the Russians will entertain themselves; )) ) We went to a disco a couple of times (opposite the reception), we liked it; ) There are few people (most of them from Sonesta Beach, they say they generally have a rotten one), the music is different (there was even Russian), admission is free, drinks are paid (but we went right after the bars closed at 00 hours, so drinks were not needed; )))

As mentioned earlier, there is plenty of entertainment for children - a playground next to the club, children's warm pools and slides, animation. It seems that they were not bored there; )
