We rested in this hotel for 10 days in October 2009. Two adults and two children 3 and 6 years old. I will try to break my review into 2 parts:
1. Objective. Only the facts without my opinion is it good or bad.
2. Subjective. My disgusting IMHO. : )
The experience of "lying" rest is not very big. Before that, we rested in Reef Oasis Blue Bay 5 * (Reef) in Egypt and Club Mega Saray HV-1 (Mega) in Turkey. Therefore, if I compare, then with these hotels.
So, part one.

1. Territory. Very green area. The hotel is not new, so there are a lot of big beautiful trees. Not only palm trees. Near the buildings, everything is simply entwined with plants. Beautiful and creates a shadow. Flowers in flowerpots are even on the paths. All this is continuously watered, cleaned, pruned by a huge number of gardeners. The area is not very big. Compared to the hotels we have been to, it is much less than in the Reef, about the same as in Mega. A small bus runs from the beach to the reception with one stop at the children's pool. The whole trip takes no more than 5 minutes.
2. Numbers. All 2 floors. Only what I saw. We stayed in the junior suite on the 1st floor. There is a separate bedroom, and a hall with a bar counter - a kitchen - a room. I don't know how else to call it. There is a sink and lots of cabinets. In the hall there is a folding sofa, an armchair, an old TV and . . wardrobes. Why there are so many of them, I did not understand. The bedroom has a bed 2x1.6. Sofa I don’t know for sure, but probably 1.4 width. The furniture is very tired and the rooms are in need of refurbishment. There is a safe and an empty minibar. Completed upon request. 2 separate air conditioners for the bedroom and hall. The bathroom is very small with a curtain. On the balcony there are 2 chairs and a table.
3. Sea and beach. The beach is very big. For all the time I have not seen that all the trestle beds were filled. One pontoon. Sometimes it's crowded. But there are 2 entrances to the water on the plates that are laid on top of the corals. Along the coast there is a strip of water up to the corals. Approximately 1.5 to 2.5 meters depending on the tide. The kids were the best. The reef is good, lots of fish. Although the "Reef" was better. I saw a stingray and a huge moray eel. There is no toilet on the beach. In the nearest one you need to climb up, quite far. Descent to the beach by stairs. Towels are provided upstairs.
4. Nutrition. It exists and there is a lot of it. : ) Sometimes there are themed dinners. There was Mexico, Italy, France, Egypt. There is always pasta that is especially popular with Italians. There are a lot of pastries, but these are mostly puff pastry products in the morning, cakes were added for lunch and dinner. There are very few oriental sweets. UPI type drinks. Very small glasses for drinks of 100 grams. Beer and cocktails are poured into plastic cups. The main restaurant is one. Snacks at the bar near the large pools. No fruit. One hamburger. There is an Italian restaurant where you can enter for free by appointment, but no more than 2 times a week for dinner. There is a paid fish restaurant.

5. Animation. Guys from different countries. Chief from Tunisia. For 10 days, local artists were invited to dance twice. It was fun. If you compare Rif and Mega, then Sultan is better. From about 20-30 children's disco. About an hour. Then until 22-30 evening show. Further from 23-30 disco.
6. The contingent of tourists. Feels like 50% of the hotel of the country of the former Soviet Union. 30% Italians. The rest are Poles, British, Czechs. Surprised by the number of Poles. First time I've seen so many of them. Even the animation is spoken in Polish.
7. Construction. If you look on Google, you can see that construction is going on on both sides of the hotel. On the one hand, construction is coming to an end and cosmetic work is underway. It's relatively quiet there. On the other hand, everything is in full swing . . knocking, digging, sawing. Noise during the day is a little annoying. Silence after 6pm. Work stops. If you look at the map of the hotel, then the noisy construction site is at the top. Next to it are rooms 601-685 and villas.
8. Children's rest. A very big plus is the strip of the sea to the corals. There they swam with masks and ran. There is a children's pool. There is 1 slide, which for some reason descends into the adult pool (1.5m). Therefore, it is not recommended to use without adults or without a vest. Adults are not allowed on the hill. There is no promised children's menu. Rather, it is, but only in the Italian restaurant, where you can get no more than 2 times a week and then by appointment. For example, in 10 days we only managed to do it once. The children's menu differs from the adult only in the size of the pizza. She is smaller. : ) There is a children's club. He keeps on the enthusiasm of the Russian girl Irina. She is an energizer! Thank you very much, if not for her it would be very tight. Actually, in addition to Irina, the club has a tired playground, a sandbox without sand, a tennis table and a tiny pavilion with TV, a table for drawing, table football. All.

Please note that extra children's beds are chargeable! ! Nothing has been written about this either. 10 dollarsday. I will talk about this in more detail in the second part. They also give ice cream at 15-00 every day for an hour in tiny cups. The food was normal, there were no poisonings.
Part two. Subjective.
In principle, the first part is quite enough to understand what kind of hotel it is. This part is about adventure.
"My congratulations! This hotel received the title of Hotel of the Year in 2009 as a hotel for families with children, ” said the Pegasus guide as we smoothly defiled to the reception. “Wow, how lucky you are, ” I thought to myself.
Then there was a polite dialogue, smiles, hated bracelets (by the way, I had never worn them before. There is no such thing in the Reef or Mega. ), the Arabs traditionally told the children “beautiful! ” and we went to the room. It was as big as I wanted. It was a weighty argument when choosing a hotel. Junior suite about 60 meters.
When I asked what kind of door from the hall is incomprehensible and where it leads, the person accompanying us waved his hand, saying, don’t worry and mumbled something. Well, okay. And then it dawned on me. Where are the beds? The two-room suite had one double bed and a sofa - a sofa (as they call it) which was impossible to expand. There was simply no mechanism.
- "What about children? " I asked.
- "Children? And . . this is at the reception, ”the man waved his hand.
Sensing something was wrong, we trudged to the reception. There we are met by the same person who put on our bracelets and says in surprise aaa . . so you have children? Frankly, I was in a stupor. Five minutes ago, he put on bracelets for all of us.
"And we have children's beds for an additional fee of $ 10 per day bed. " - he said.
Then there was my indignation, his uncomprehending face, communication with the representative of Pegasus, who said that this could not be that they had not warned me, etc. and that I have no options is the position of the hotel. As a result, I paid $ 200 extra for 2 beds, although before departure, there was no question of an additional fee for a bed anywhere, neither on the Internet, nor in Pegasus! A little further I will talk about the position of the hotel. : )

While we were walking, beds were brought. It was an extra sofa (I didn’t understand whether they inserted it into that mechanism or brought another one), a folding sofa and an extra bed, which is a folding bed with wooden boards stuffed on top. Moreover, the person who brought the cot all the time wondered how we didn’t have enough 2 beds and why I couldn’t put the children together. Frankly, it was a shock. This adventure on the day of arrival ended for us. In the evening it turned out that our room overlooks the amphitheater and at least until 22-30 we are provided with the effect of full presence without leaving the room. Therefore, who with children and goes to bed early, I advise you to immediately change the room. Now my IMHO. Hotel of the year for families with children - it's ridiculous to tears.
On the second night, we appreciated all the "advantages" of our room with an incomprehensible door. 2 guys settled in the next suite, and as it happens, until the morning, the floor of the hotel in the room celebrated the arrival of such wonderful guys. And the mysterious door turned out to be the door to the next room. As they explained to me later, it was the so-called connecting room, which, if desired, easily turns into a 4-room apartment. : ) The door just opens. At the same time, the audibility is simply amazing. Hear everything! For example, if the doorbell rings in one of the rooms (there is a bell in the suites), then both open, because it is not clear which room is ringing. Therefore, one more piece of advice: if you come across such a number, immediately insist on a replacement. Fortunately, as the manager told me later, there are only 2 or 3 of them.
Well, a few words about the hotel's position on baby beds. On the last day, I had a heart-to-heart talk with the manager and he revealed 2 terrible secrets to me. First. Pegasus buys a very significant part of the hotel. They are the main ones. And the requirement to take money for the children's extra. a bed is a requirement of Pegasus. They signed a contract with the hotel where it is written. If they don't charge me, they'll pay for it themselves. Those. if you book a hotel on your own, then all beds will be in the room + children for free. Thanks Pegasus.
And the second. Everyone here says that this is an Italian hotel and they are allegedly treated better and even they wear green bracelets, while everyone else is yellow. It's true. The bracelets of some Italians are green. Do you know why? It's non-alcoholic all inclusive. Not even beer. Seriously, why do my kids need alcohol? And why should I pay for it?

But the saddest thing is that we cannot buy such a non-alcoholic "all inclusive". Guessed why? Correctly. Thanks Pegasus. And the attitude towards Italians and other foreigners is exactly the same as towards Russian speakers. Smile and you will be answered.
Well, in conclusion, about a very sad thing. When checking out, a women's leather jacket was forgotten in the room. They remembered her only on the way to the airport. I took a taxi from the airport and returned to the hotel. Fortunately 5 km in total. Unfortunately, the jacket could not be found. My old acquaintance manager just shrugged. Then there was an interesting Arab taxi driver who, when he found out how much the missing jacket cost, almost jumped out of the window. And he kept repeating that the Egyptians are bad people and all thieves! And he is Sudanese. But the Sudanese are the most honest people on earth and would never take someone else's. And that Allah sees everything and rewards everyone. Well, it's like . . themselves to blame. Don't forget your things.
And yet we had a good rest! : ) If it weren't for the beds, not a very good room and a jacket, it would be perfect. The hotel actually has a lot of advantages. Maybe after reading this review and knowing in advance where the pitfalls are and how to get around them, you will have the perfect vacation. What I sincerely wish you.
