Many thanks to the staff of the Sultan Gardens hotel.
We rested in Egypt for the first time, we ventured to fly in the winter from January 11 to January 21.2019. We wanted to have greenery in the bay, and a warm pool, and much more ...We found it through friends who had been here a year before us, and did not lose. The hotel was great in every way.
So ...We rested with the family, me, my husband and son 14 years old. The hotel was booked through TEZ TOUR. As it turned out, another 100 people arrived with us, in the same hotel, and these are 2 buses and a minibus, it was very unexpected.

Settlement. We arrived at the hotel by the first bus (around 17.00) and immediately to the reception for settlement. We booked a Standard Garden View room. We were given a room very quickly, and most importantly ...I offered an extra charge for a good room, but I was surprised when they refused the money and said that they give us a very good room. To be honest, I didn't expect it to be so good. We were taken to the room, it was already dark, as it gets dark there earlier, at first we did not consider all the beauty.
Room 534: The first thing that caught my eye was cleanliness. Special thanks to Mohammed. I was pleasantly surprised by the Family Room, two separate rooms, a small corridor, a toilet and a shower room, to the left a large bedroom with a window into the courtyard, to the right a large room: two separate beds, a sofa, an armchair, a coffee table, a wardrobe, a dressing table, a refrigerator, a TV, a huge cabinet under it, bedside tables. Also in the room Wi-Fi, kettle, 4 cups, spoons, tea bags, coffee, milk, sugar. Passing through the room to the balcony, she was surprised, went to the first floor, and went out to the balcony of the second. There are 4 chairs and a table on the balcony. There are 2 bathrobes and two pairs of slippers in the room, I turned to the reception, they reacted quickly, after dinner, there was already a third pair in the room. The room was cleaned daily, water was delivered daily, a minibar was filled for check-in (6 cans of soda, 2 juice), free of charge, one time.
After 10-15 meters to the right of the room there is a large heated pool and jacuzzi (towels are also provided here). One thing but ...children under 14 are not allowed to be there, but it was + for us, the child is already 14 and it was our favorite vacation spot. Quiet and calm, children do not buzz and do not run underfoot. The bar is right next to the pool.
Territory: Very large and beautiful, immersed in greenery. Taf-taf (small bus), but we didn’t use it, it’s a pleasure to walk around the territory, especially to go to the sea for about 7-10 minutes. Towels are handed out near the beach (on cards). The beach is excellent, there were always enough places (although it is not always possible to find free places near the coast, if with a company). 4 entries into the sea: from a stationary pier, from a pantone and along cleared two paths with paved slabs (you can calmly walk along them, it is advisable to put on corals or crocs, walk 7 meters and plunge into the beautiful water world). And there is little space for children from the shore.

I want to note the food, I read reviews, someone praises, someone vice versa. The food is good, varied, especially pastries and desserts, different types of fish and meat, fruits in January (strawberries, physalis, dates, apples, oranges, tangerines), in general, the chefs are great!
We visited two a la carte restaurants, Italian and Indian. I liked everything (in Indian you can find not very spicy food).
Animation Entertainment: I can not say anything, did not go. Once we were in the amphitheater, there was a fire show, I liked it. And somehow there was no time. In the morning, a gym, breakfast, sea, pool, lunch, then either again the pool, or an excursion, dinner, exit to the city. Until 22.00 did not always survive. Passed out to sleep.
Weather in January: we thought for a long time whether to go in January, the reviews are very different, but we took a chance. Let me tell you, it's warm. By 9.30 you can go to the sea and calmly sunbathe and swim. The water in the sea was about 26 ° C, as for me, if you go into the water, you don’t want to go out. Air around 22-24 °C.
When the wind is not many dare to go into the sea, I swam.
After lunch, we no longer went to the sea, we went out either to the Old Town or on excursions. By 5:00 pm the temperature dropped to 12-14°C. They put on a windbreaker or a thin leather jacket. They didn't freeze.
There is a small market near the hotel, across the road, where you can buy everything: clothes, oils, gifts, you have to bargain. …
Walk outside the hotel.
Naama Bay - taxi - $ 5 one way. I didn't like this area. Shops and restaurants.
Old Town - taxi - $ 7 one way. Big market, good discounts.
Soho Square - taxi - $ 4 one way. What was surprising, to get to the square you have to go through metal detectors. Nice area, but very expensive. We only went there because of the Ice Bar. This is an ice bar. Admission $12 + one drink.
Conclusion: if you have a rest, then in Sultan Gardens.

Separately for excursions.
We were advised not to take excursions from the tour operator, but better and cheaper from the locals, they even gave us a number.
We looked at the prospectus from the tour operator and from private traders, yes, of course, they are cheaper, but there is one BUT ....

TEZ TOUR - at the first meeting they offered us excursions at a discount, and the prices came out one by one, but safer. We took three tours:
First: Cairo - 2 days - $ 130 (from one) for three of us they made a discount of $ 10, private traders offer 1 day for $ 55. And what's the catch? ....there he is…
One day, you are picked up from the hotel around one in the morning, taken to the bus station, and there on a shared bus you get to Kara (7.5 hours), around 6-7 in the morning you are in Cairo, then a tour of the museum, oils, Giza, lunch, papyrus and the return trip on the same shared bus (the trip is very difficult, so the tour operators no longer offer a one-day excursion to Cairo).
How is the tour from TEZ TOUR and what does it include:
Breakfast at your hotel, then, at the reception, take a lunch box - lunch on the road (I advise you to grab more fruit and a couple of eggs from breakfast, the lunch box is weak).
Pick up from the hotel at 10-11 am (depending on the location of the hotel). Comfortable bus (toilet + water) throughout the tour,
Departure to Cairo their Sharma at 11.00. then 7-7.5 hours on the road with a break for lunch (what you have with you). We arrived in Cairo around 7:00 pm. Then dinner on the boat with a show program and rest (either on the boat or at the hotel). In the morning, breakfast, visit to the Cairo Museum, oil factories (by the way, oils are cheaper than in Sharm), pyramids, Sphinx, lunch near the Sphinx, papyrus factory (not interesting and more expensive than in Sharm) and home by the same bus, at the hotel you are about hour of the night. This trip is much easier to bear. She's worth it. (Alcohol not included).
Second: Ras Mohammed on a boat (for the whole day with lunch) - $ 30, attention - I do not advise: VERY COLD, pleasures 0, there is a strong wind at sea at this time of the year, I didn’t want to go to the sea anymore, everyone was very cold and sat on lower, closed deck.

My child and I also took two scuba dives ($10 one dive). I didn’t really want to get into the water, but ...it was paid for ...We were more lucky than others (we were the first to dive and we got more dry suits). Instead of two, there was one dive, but longer in time. To be honest, the underwater world in the hotel was better than there.
And the third excursion: ATVs ($10 for an hour and a half). 35 minutes went to visit the Bedouins, where we were treated to tea, stayed for 15 minutes and back 35 minutes. everyone liked it very much.
