We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of April 2008. four of us - three adults and a child of 11 years old.
We enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave. Highly recommend!
Now let me tell you more about our trip.

They began to prepare for the trip about two months in advance - they took catalogs from travel agencies, reviewed everything, then looked at all the hotels on the Internet, re-read the masses of tourist reviews. We chose several hotels, compared all the pros and cons (by the way, travel agencies usually cannot really tell about the hotel, they retell from catalogs, the Internet). They chose the hotel, looked at which tour operators work with it, and began to contact travel agencies. It turned out that the cheapest thing was to buy a tour to this hotel through the KaryaTour tour operator (300-400 dollars cheaper than Turtes, Teztour and Pegasus). It was more convenient for us to fly from Zaporozhye, or at least from Dnepropetrovsk, but here we were not lucky. From these cities, charters of the tour operator KaryaTour do not fly to Sharm El Sheikh. Given that the departure from Kyiv was indicated at 5 am (at 9 am we would already be in Sharm), we agreed to buy a tour from the travel agency Aviatour (Kyiv) from April 3 to 13 with a flight from Kyiv. The tour was bought a month before the start. Troubles began when we arrived on the evening of April 2 to pick up documents and air tickets from the travel agency. We were informed that it was from April 3 that the departure time was changed from 5 am to 4 pm. To our claims, the manager of the travel agency said that they were not responsible for this, because we would still arrive there on the same 3rd day, but only at a different time. So, having spent the night in Kyiv, we arrived at Boryspil airport at 12.30, and just entering the terminal we hear a message: our flight is delayed, the estimated departure time is 20:30. There was little to enjoy. After sitting at the airport in a draft for almost the whole day, we finally flew to Sharm at 21.00. We got to the hotel at one in the morning. Naturally, the representative of the operator did not even bother to order us even a late dinner. The next morning, the representative of the tour operator told us that they would not compensate us for rescheduling the departure for 16 hours, but simply on the last day we would fly back not at 9 am, but at 10 pm. But this also turned out to be untrue. The day before departure, in the evening, they posted an announcement that the departure was at 8:30 in the morning (although the entire previous week, departures were really at 8-10 pm). As a result, instead of the paid 11 days of rest, we received 9. Through the Aviatour travel agency and the KaryaTour tour operator, I bought a tour for the first and last time in my life! I do not recommend to anyone!! ! Moreover, no one knows this operator in Sharm, even representatives of other operators. Everyone there knows Turtess, Tez-tour, and Pegasus.
Now let's talk about the good side.
The Sultan Gardens 5 * hotel is located in Sharm El Sheikh in the Nabq area, 5 kilometers from the airport (towards Naama Bay). We were taken by bus from the airport to the hotel no more than 10 minutes. On the way, the guide who met us told us useful information, which later came in handy for us (especially with regard to taxi rides). When we arrived at the hotel, we were immediately taken to the reception. Within 15 minutes, everything was arranged for us, and we were given the keys (cards) to the rooms and cards for towels (beach). Although we booked 3 standard rooms without a sea view, we were given one room with a sea view and one without. We tried to agree to give a second room with a sea view, to which the hotel employee replied that there were no more free rooms, and that you have to pay an additional $ 10 per day for a sea view, and he already gave us one room no surcharge. As a result, in 5 minutes and $ 10 we were able to persuade him to the second room with a sea view.
The hotel area is quite large and well maintained. There is a lot of greenery around - lawns, bushes, flowers, trees, palm trees. The hotel rooms are located in several buildings located on several levels of the hotel. There are five swimming pools on the territory of the hotel - one unheated near the main building (depth 1.5 m), two more unheated near the suites (depth 1.5 m), and one level lower, near the building with two hundred ngomers, two heated pools (depth 1 5m and a children's pool with a depth of 0.4m. ) There is a large water slide in the children's pool.

In the main building there are several shops with souvenirs and beach accessories (at a price 3 times more expensive than in the old town) and a bank branch. From the hotel to Naama Bay and the Old Town, take a taxi for about fifteen minutes. The main entertainment area in Sharm El Sheikh is located in Naama Bay - shops, restaurants, nightclubs, etc. The real cost of a taxi ride to Naama Bay is $3-4, to the Old City - $4-5. If you don't want to waste your money, don't agree to pay more! At the hotel, a taxi to Sharm and Naama Bay costs $ 18, and they do not make concessions. However, if you go outside the gates of the hotel, then a taxi will immediately begin to drive up to you and offer services. To the old city, they immediately call the price $ 15. Immediately after the refusal, the price is reduced to $10. Refuse and stand your ground - to the old city no more than $ 5! And step aside. Others immediately drive up, with whom you also bargain. We went to the Old City three times, and found a taxi for $ 5 in 5-10 minutes. Same thing back from the old city. Stand your ground. Their minibuses also run (there is a stop not far from the hotel) - for 1 pound per person (1 dollar = 5 pounds). Also at the hotel you can sign up for a free bus to Naama Bay, it runs twice a day. However, it is almost impossible to sign up for it - everything is always already taken, so it is more convenient and easier to take a taxi. There is a market in the old city where you can buy souvenirs, clothes, beach accessories, fins, masks, fruits (strawberries cost $ 1 per 1 kg), etc. for the cheapest price. Again, haggle!! ! If you skillfully bargain, then the goods can be bought 2-3 times!! ! cheaper than the starting price! They are very skilled merchants - while you are still thinking whether to buy the goods, they will already pack them for you and put them in a bag. Be sure to visit the restaurant in Naama Bay and order seafood soup (very very tasty) and lobsters. We went to a restaurant called Ali Baba and they also recommended Star Sinay.
The hotel has several types of rooms - standard, suites (two-room) and villas (two-story houses). We were told that there are also rooms for honeymooners (in one large bed), but we did not see them. We had standard rooms in the building with 200 rooms. The rooms are large, spacious, bright, with good furniture and sanitary ware. The room has a TV with several Russian and Ukrainian channels, a minibar (not full), a safe with an electronic combination lock, a telephone, individual air conditioning, two separate beds, and Internet access. From the standards, I recommend choosing exactly the two hundred rooms on the second floor, closer to the right side of the building - not far from the main restaurant and bars, as well as from the sea and pools. In addition, new hotels are being built on the sides of the hotel, and these rooms are away from construction sites and overlook the sea. If you take suites, it is better in the six hundredth rooms (near the tennis courts), because. 500th suites are located right next to the construction site, and the view from the windows is also on the construction site.
The rooms are cleaned daily, towels are changed if you throw them on the floor. But with the change of bed there are problems. They didn’t change us for a week, we had to call the room service, and only then, literally three minutes later, an employee came running and changed our beds. Tipping can and not be left - it practically does not change anything. Every day they bring 1.5 liters to the room for free. bottle of drinking water. The water from the tap is strictly forbidden to drink! She can’t even brush her teeth, so use bottled drinking water for this purpose. Purchased fruits should also be washed in drinking water if you do not want indigestion and spoiled as a result of rest.
The hotel staff is friendly, they treat equally well both Russians and Ukrainians (half of the vacationers) and Italians (the other half), French, British, Germans. Most of the staff understands and speaks Russian (taxi drivers in restaurants, shops, and traders in the market also know it quite well). If problems arise, they are resolved fairly quickly. Our friends child fell asleep in the room, they could not get into the room. Turning to the reception within 2 minutes they were given a duplicate card from the room.

The hotel has 3 restaurants (main, fish and Italian) and 5 bars (in the main building, near the pools and on the beach). Meals on the system all inclusive - buffet. The food is good quality and varied. European cuisine. There are days of Italian, Egyptian, Russian cuisine for dinner. To our surprise, there were soups all the time for lunch and dinner! And quite tasty. And once there was even borscht. There are always many desserts. There are not very many fruits - bananas, oranges, melons, dates. There are always fish. Plenty of salads and vegetables to choose from. Basically everything is delicious. Ice cream at the pool bar from 3 to 5 days - free of charge. All drinks (including local alcoholic drinks) are free of charge (except for the bar in the main building where imported drinks are). Having heard about the shortcomings of the cuisine in the hotels of Egypt, I can say with confidence that the food in this hotel is excellent. Service in the restaurant is fast and good.
On the territory of the hotel there is a volleyball, football grounds, tennis courts (racket rental $ 10 per hour, while they did not charge us for lighting the courts! ), minigolf, health club (massages, sauna, jacuzzi, gym).
The hotel beach is quite large, clean, sandy. Free sunbeds can always be found (both on the beach and near the pools). Entrance to the sea - corals. There are three entrances to the sea - two along the paths lined with slabs, and one along the pontoon. The pontoon is not big (about 20m. ). The sea is indescribable, like in an aquarium! Fish from small to two meters - wherever you look. Be sure to bring your masks and snorkels! Most of the live corals are to the left of the leftmost entrance path to the sea. Before the trip, I recommend buying a box for underwater shooting on your camera - the photos are just a bomb!
Animators at the hotel - well done. During the day there is a miniclub for children, the children are simply delighted. When they leave, they say goodbye to the animators with tears in their eyes. Shows in the amphitheater in the evenings. Sometimes it’s even nothing - you laugh to tears. During the day, they organize games by the pool, water aerobics, yoga, etc. Not annoying, but quite active.
In the evening, near the bar by the upper pool - live music. He sings quite well, and sometimes even in Russian (it turns out quite funny). From 11 p. m. to 2 a. m. there is a disco in the main building. Periodically organize trips to a night disco in Naama Bay.
The hotel has a lot of tourists with children. A playground and a children's pool are available at the hotel. In the evenings, before evening shows, children's discos are held in the amphitheater (there are quite a lot of children).

We went on 3 excursions: on ATVs in the desert (I recommend), on a yacht to the Ras Muhamed Nature Reserve with diving - for the whole day, with three stops in different places and two dives (if there is no certificate, then to a depth of 10 meters per hand with an instructor ) - I highly recommend it! , and to Mount Moses (a very difficult excursion, from 10 pm to 2 o'clock the next day. Three and a half hours of continuous walking up the mountain - "goodbye legs").
As a conclusion - the hotel is excellent. On a solid 4+. We really enjoyed. With the travel agency "Aviatour" (Kyiv) and the tour operator "KaryaTour" it is better not to have business, so as not to spoil your vacation!
